Good morning all,
Congratulations on the new granddaughter Hudson John!
Been watching the live streaming web cam this morning from Trains Magazaine to see Big Boy leaving yard bound for Cheyenne. Video quit a little while ago and I haven't seen Big Boy yet. However the cam was on for over an hour showing people standing around waiting and trains coming and going in the yard. Hope I can see something before the day is over. My kids are at West Colton to watch it.

Aloha and Happy Monday. Rainy here which we need - it's been a very dry Spring. Wish it had waited until I got to work. Looks like a busy day. Glad all the Yorkies got home safely with their purchases. Congrats HudsonJohn on the new arrival!

Glad evryone got home safe from York.
Sad about prom girl in Conn. Guess they will now try to outlaw kitchen knives. When will folks learn you have to work on mental illness?

Good evening all,
Sato was 13th after 2 spins and Newgarden was 8th for Sarah. Took it easy today. Mass was long today as we had a baptism, the youth choir and a visiting priest. I hope everyone has a good day. Congrats to John and family as well.

Good Evenin' All.
Just now beginning to feel somewhat awake. Up late friday nite, after spending the day at the museum, getting everything ready for the "Relay For Life" program in Oceanside on saturday. Had planed on going very early saturday morning and setting up the "All Aboard For A Cure" train and table and associated tents, canopies, etc. Unfortunately the rain put a stop to the trains so it was just packing the BetterHalf's car with the stuff she was taking. I in turn headed for the museum for our monthly Youth Group meeting and train running. This old geezer was exhausted when I got home at 6:30, was sound asleep on the couch by 7:30. Woke up just in time to take my nite time pills and crawl in bed. All in all both days went well, no significant electronic gremlins appeared.
Hope all the Yorkies enjoyed their trip to Train Mecca. Big thanks to Laz for trying to find the L&N passenger cars I've been looking for with no luck. The hunt continues. Anybody got photos of the goodies they scored ?
Ray, Prayers for you and the Misses.
John, How's Doray doing ? One of the Friday Runners just had a knee replacement done.
BOC, Groupies, groupers or gropers ?
Don, Look on the bright side, you're not dealing with the Phoenix VA.
Belated to Rich !
Time to start rumaging in the fridge to see what I can fix for supper.
Later all.

Rich -- you will truly enjoy the Road Star, gorgeous bike and it just runs and runs and runs. One of my PGR brothers just loves his and he puts on tons of miles. That motor is more than "big enough", going from your Sportster to 1700 is one giant step, HANG ON!
Jon
So many roads, so little time.
Glad some of you guys made it to York. Hope we get to see a group picture of the gang. Back during the years I was going to York, we didn't have a gang like that to hang out with. Sounds like fun.
Today we are celebrating my wife's birthday. It was actually on the 25th but we are having a dinner today so the whole family can attend. I'm having smoked ham with potatoes, green beans and corn on the cob. #1 son is in charge of the cake.
Big doings at church today celebrating the cannonization of two former popes, John the 23rd and John Paul II. This is also Divine Mercy Sunday which was instituted by John Paul II. There will be a reception in the hall after mass I think.
News on Meet the Press this morning accusing Clipper owner Don Sterling of making some remarks which were not PC. Don't know much about the guy but I don't follow the clippers. I think he is a big philanthropist though. He takes out full page ads when he makes a donation to something.
Big Boy all set to start it's trip to Cheyenne tomorrow morning from West Colton. California out near San Bernardino. It will travel over Cajon Pass enroute to Yermo where it will spend the night before heading to Las Vegas next. Eventually it will wind up in Cheyenne. The U.P. Steam Team leader, Ed Dickins invited several members of the Rail Giants Railroad Museum in Pomona who donated the engine to ride along on the train for the first leg of the trip. They will sit in folding chairs on a tool or baggage car I think since there will be no passenger cars on this "hospital" train moving a dead steam engine. The engine will be sandwiched between two modern diesels numbered 4884 and 4014 to give a nod to the steam engine number 4014 which they are hauling. Too stay legal with the FRA I think the diesel is numbered U.P.4014 and the steam engine will be called U.P.P. 4014 to differentiate between the two at least on paper. The entire train will consist of the three engines plus a few support cars as well as some emptys for extra braking power not that they really need it with those two big diesels suppling enough dynamic braking to stop anything they are hauling.
later,
Good Morning from Blueberryhill........
Good Morning, Joe....
It is a cloudy 38 degrees. Going up to a sunny 62 today.
Today is an easy day. I have a few chores to do and then I will spend the morning in the train room. I need to run trains and relax. Maybe do a little dusting.
Usual breakfast on the dining car.
Y'all have a great Sunday.
Konnichiwa and Ohayo Chuck,
It is another beautiful day here. We had Sunday school and church this morning, followed by the usual relaxing Sunday afternoon. I watched part of the UFC fights I recorded, but now I'm recording "Frozen" for the kids. I am slow cooking a barbecue pork shoulder for dinner and I don't have anything else planned.
I am glad all the Yorkies had a safe trip and a good time.
Sayonara,Joe
Reffed a wild game, 12-5. Watched Man U. smack Norwich City 4-0. Rested a bit and mowed the yard. Went to see a comedy show tonight. Had Donnie Baker from the Bob and Tom show there with 2 other comedians. Pretty R-rated, but some of it was funny. Newgarden starts 4th for Sarah tomorrow and Sato is gridded 14th for AJ. I hope everyone has a good day.
Seems the fartherest from home is home.
Rock a bye baby,
Sleep tight [tired].
Just got home safe and sound from York. Hope everyone made it home safe as well. Was a great York and enjoyable meeting up for ice cream with some great people. Fife, Mrs. Fife, Laz, Roy, John, Hudson John, Ray, Banks, Mrs. Banks and SJ. Looking forward to next year already!

Ray and John - good luck with the birth
Jon - The Triumph has to be the fastest bike I've ever driven...it is a heavy monster...Rocket III is an appropriate name for that thing....It needed tires and exhaust and they wouldn't come down on the $9K price tag...needing exhaust and tires to boot. No Sale.
I took the 2 hour trip to the mountains of North West New Jersey. I had spoken to the sales dude yesterday about a bike. He guaranteed me I'd be happy with the white Yamaha I saw on the web site. Well, I wasn't happy...I was stunned. It is a beautiful pearl white metallic 2006 Road Star 1700 Silverado. 30 minutes after I got there, I owned it. I has just the right amount of chrome accessories and attitude. I'll pick it up in a couple of weeks. Trust me, this place is so amazing, I'll be back for another if I need to.
www.thecycleexchange.com It's still listed, just SOLD!!!
Been a long day, I think I'll watch some tele and relax.
Hi guys,We just got back from York, more on that later, John wasn't home for an hour and he had to run to the hospital. His daughter Michele, also my niece, is in labor. No news yet. I will keep you posted!Later.....
Evenin' boys. Evenin' English. Sunny & 72 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Hosted little league parades today, and spent a little time on the yatchet.

YORK was mighty fine. First and always foremost, was great visiting with the Coffee Pot gang at the CTT booth. Carl Swanson and a very svelt looking Bob Keller posed for pics with us. Got caught up with Roy, Hudson John, AF53, Laz, jefelectric, MichRR, SirJames, Banks and his Mrs. Hope all had a safe trip home.
Fifey's Wifey must have been a good luck charm. Scored a LIONEL swing bridge (still sealed in box) for $150, the new Gingerbread man gateman from LIONEL, and a #1800 General Frontier Set for $175. Also picked up a loop of Atlas/Industrial Rail track for $20.
On the way home we stopped off at our Best Man's home, and had dinner with him and his lovely wife.
ChiefEaglesRay, will have to check out that NS
ChiefEagles Frank, I thought you might be interested in this since the original Norfolk and Southern Railway ran right near you through Raleigh. Do you remember them when they were in the red color? Later on they went to that white looking paint job with red and black lettering. Ray

Morning all. Sunny and warm. Had hail, tornados and rain yesterday afternoon until dark 30. We in Roseyville were lucky. Big rain wich lasted a couple of minutes [1/2 in.] and some wind. Some folks had flooding and cars under water. Crazy. South of us, no rain at all.
Charlie, glad yuz giz having fun.
Blown, hang in there.
Missed Rich's birthday. Guess he turned 21 compared to my age.
Talked to Shake and Bake. Not good to wait on a cold and Dr's vacation. Think I'd take a bolt cutter to those wires sticking out so far.
Ray, will have to check out that NS.
Hope Dennis and Dougsnotagrump are doing OK.
"Over the hill horn blower" survived the Ioway winter. Think he mostly escape to the South of the Border. Then he played hurt and made Wifey bring in the fire wood.
Big Rec Day parade here this afternoon. Got my wave down pat.
Later.
Good Morning, Joe........
It is a sunny 44 degrees. Going up to a sunny 70.
Today is an easy day. I have the usual chores and a small project to work on. Then, lunch and a nice nap
Indians need to make some changes in their team.
Y'all have a great Saturday.
Konbanwa and Ohayo Chuck,
Today’s weather was fantastic: the high hit 71 and it was sunny. The baseball team’s first game this morning went well. We won 17-7 and each kid reached base and scored at least one time. Our pitching was solid; the other team’s runs came off of some defensive errors. We’ll work more on our fielding during our next practice. This afternoon I worked on a Sunday school lesson and had a quick nap. Tonight is a movie night at our house. The kids are watching “Walking with Dinosaurs” and then the wife and I will watch “Gravity.”
Don B. – Thanks for sharing the video clip.
Rich – Happy Belated Birthday!
BOC – Next up, you’ll be trashing hotel rooms.
Sayonara,
Joe
