cnw1995 - Happy Anniversary.
Aloha - it is very cold here this morning - in the 30s - even though it is sunny. Brrrr. Celebrated our anniversary with a quick visit to the neighborhood tap. Don, that's great news that you are soon free of the cage. Ray, the drug to ask about is Aricept - its a cholinesterase inhibitor - there are a few other brands. The other approach, depending on her doc's diagnosis, is to use Namenda - memantine.
Doug Murphy 'We few, we happy few, we band of brothers...' Henry V.
Konbanwa and Ohayo Chuck,
This is a late post for me as I've been a bit busy this evening and have only a few minutes to post.
Happy Anniversary Doug!
Hudson John - We have one more practice (tomorrow) before our first game this Saturday. I have some decent kids on the team so it should go well.
BOC - Groupers...
Safe travels to the Yorkies. I can't wait to hear the reports.

Hello there,
RAY.........sounds like you're on the right track. don't let them string you along. the longer it goes the more non reversable damage there is.
Old timer.........stay awhile
My Easter weekend was "interesting"
Friday morning Mrs & I did some errands. Noon was Good Friday service. 3:30 had us Frying Fish(64? paid)I was feeling a little rough but 8to 11 PM was working on Grandsons 4 wheeler.
Up at 7 to continue. Finished about 10:30 and headed to Test & Tune at the Dirt Drags. 4:15 PM we sat down for an Easter meal with Sister-in-law & family. 6:30 PM kids & Grandkids had an Easter meal at my folks. By this time I am feeling ROUGH.
Spent most of Saturday night coughing my fool head off. Was feeling a little better so we went to 7AM Mass. CAme home got the oldsters around and had breakfast. Then decided to nap and the coughing returned with a vengeance. Mrs talked me into a trip to Med Express. Got 3 scrips and things started to settle down.
Sunday Evening the crew gathered for the kids to get their baskets. A good time was had by all.Yesterday and today were a whirlwind. Lots needs done at work and getting new(to us) camper ready to travel to YORK
I'm whuupped......Off to bed
Prayers for those in need

So many roads, so little time.
Good evening all,
Submmbob, I have enjoyed and will continue to enjoy your Corvair efforts and stories. Ray, sorry to hear about what might be happening with the missus. Don B., good to see the improvement. Doug M., congrats on the anniversary. Work was busy. One co-worker is gone and the other one is just out of control with what she is doing. I guess the one who is gone sort of acted as some sort of restraint. I have a feeling some toes might be stepped on soon and then it will get interesting. I just hope to avoid the debris that will scatter. Weather was sunny and cooler. Long range forecast for Mini does not look good. New Tinplate catalog is online tomorrow. I hope there is something worthwhile that is new and different, but the cover does not give one much hope. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good news Don, that's great! I'm sure you're glad to see that thing go.
Took wife to specialist this afternoon. Had to wait about an hour before he could see us. This guy is really busy between two offices and hospital. Not enough in his profession I guess. Anyway he did some simple test on her and listened to our story. He said there is definitly something wrong but he hasn't diagnosed it yet. Needs to do a complete work up on her and study her medical history etc. I asked him if medication was available but he said we're not there yet. Has to find out more about the problem. He did not put a label on it yet but hinted that it might be Alzheimers. At least that was the impression I got. Anyway does not want to see her for four more weeks. Meanwhile, I am trying to juggle everything at home and keep our affairs above water.
later,
Ray

Banks Ray My advice is get her on some medicine ASAP
My advice is get her on some medicine ASAP
Banks, thank you for the information. This gives me some hope. I hope the medicine does some good. We are seeing the doctor later today.
Hello all
Easter was good. Had dinner w/ the director and brought the AF back and we ran it a bit. She was excited and the other guests were going down memory lane. Now I have her other Hudson and a 16B to tinker with.
The 4dr got Pertronix ignition last Friday. Runs like a whole new enchilada.
Exchanged alt and starter for the Corvan as well. Starter is in. Waiting on the sheetmetal to put the alt in. Powdercoater called yesterday, already done after dropping it off on Fri. Need to pick it up today. The 'Green Tortoise' inches toward the finish line:)
Got the illuminated bumpers in. Should keep things from running off the end of the test track.
Will try and get to Ace that has the train shop today. Need to pick up a few items for various projects.
Safe travels for the Yorkies.

Not to worry Frank -- we contracted @ $1.43 and all that LP will last me until next January, it's why I'm glad I don't have natural gas. Our friends, in town with natural gas, paid a lot more than we did for the same size home and retired.
Good Morning! 56 and Cloudy, Rain in the forecast.
Nothing new on the train front here. Just gearing up for York!
SPMan, Ray: Prayers for you and your wife. I agree with Banks and the Meds.
Jon: I know what you mean about Gettysburg. Lucky for me I live in NJ and it is not that long of a ride. There is a lot to see and do in Pa.
Joe D: Enjoy the Baseball League. They are going to miss you next year.
Doug M: Happy Anniversary!
I agree with you guys on this past winter's heating. Lucky for me my wood stove kept my bill down. have oil. No gas mains when building the house, converting soon. The best part is that wood was free but it was a lot of work!
Safe trip for all traveling to York.
See you at York!
John
Aloha. Sunny but cooold this morning. I appreciate any warmer weather. After this winter, I appreciate the budget payment plan of our local NG utility so you pay the same each month. Hope those going to York have a great time. It would be fun (dangerous to my wallet) to go someday. Today the wife and I celebrate 25 years together. I forgot to put my card in her lunch bag. Good thing I get a do-over after work.
Morning. Sunny and warm. Meetings and opening of new private high school. The Town Board. Hope to end it early so I will hit the road to hunting camper for a turkey hunt tomorrow.
1000 gals of LP. Wow. Price here ran from 2.99 to 3.99 a gal. Robery. Why I'm glad I am in natural gas.
KEV, glad all the snow is gone.
Hope desktop is back today.
Have a good one.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill.........
Good Morning, Joe..... I got your message.
It is a cloudy 62 degrees. Going up to 72 today with a chance of rain.
Today is a busy day. Grocery shopping and chores. Not much new on the train subject.
Dining car has Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.
Joe: Groupies? More like Groupers.....
Ol'Timer - Yep. I want out of Omallyland forever. Tired of Annapolis picking my pockets clean.
jonadel - But you could really color in that map if you rode to YORK...
KRM - Glad all is well.
Yesterday was another busy Monday, mostly due to baseball practice last night. The practice went okay. Fortunately, I will be able to squeeze in one more practice before our first game this Saturday. The wife and princess are out for a girls’ night dinner so the boys and I are on our own for a couple of hours.
Chuck – I sent you a PM.
BOC – I’m glad you were able to go out on tour. I won’t ask about groupies.
Sayonara,
Joe
Good Evening
Wondeful day here....got to 74F and was very sunny. We had the BBQ out here....
Sorry for the no-show for the past few days...we had a bit of a tour set up and we did it..in spite of certain issues with the health here....now is r&r time....
Tonight is a quick jump in with a special message for Ray
SPMan Wife goes in tomorrow to see a specialist and hopefully we can find out something about her dementia or whatever it is. I really don't know what the problem is yet so I shouldn't speculate but it is worrisome. Meantime she has been doing good for the past week but I have been with her constantly or had my son with her. She seems OK but I can't tell. Now and then she will come up with something that baffles me. I have been chief cook and bottle washer literally now for quite some time,

My advice is get her on some medicine ASAP. My mom was diagnosed over 15 years ago. The adjustments to the medicine took a long time but the progression of her memory loss leveled off almos instantly. her memory isn't much worse now than it was then all things considered. If she misses even one dose though it can affect her for days.
A co-worker in his late 50's retired last year with early onset and he says the meds helped considerably
More on my Easter weekend later. It's well past my bedtime.
Prayers for those in need.
Another nice day. Mowed the yard for the first time tonight. Only hit the high spots that needed it and did not take too long. Supposed to rain and get cooler. Work was very quiet today as the main source of my case reports is on vacation this week. Work goes well in the bathroom. Thanks for all the comments on the mini preparations.
Separate paragraph for really big news. Finally got my birthday present from my Norwegian soccer friend!!!! She sent a pic of her and her sister in their traditional Norwegian "bunad" outfits. They use them for special occasions only and i had asked for a pic for my birthday. These are really elaborate pieces of clothing, and it showed off their "Norwegianness". I was so surprised and delighted as you can tell.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Kev
We went over 1000 gallons (which is what I contracted) but they gave me contract price on the extra LP, whew. I had surgery in late January so we were home 24/7 and I hate being cold so the thermostat stayed up plus I burned more firewood this year than we ever have in 24 years. I'm just glad we have unlimited fire wood AND the fact that we had it all split this last fall. I rent a splitter every two years and we just knock ourselves out for two days, ugh.
I wish we were going to York this week. We've only gone once and loved every minute of it but from our door step to the fair grounds it's exactly 1000 miles, give or take 20-30 miles if we get lost I hope we can go next spring, it's on the radar if we can work a few other things out. I was like a kid in a candy store and we just had a ball. There's not much I need as far as loco's, I'm satisfied with what I have but I would enjoy picking up a few classic electric signs and more people. The other thing we really enjoyed was the history of Gettysburg, that was our first time there, fascinating to say the least. I've never been much of a history buff but we just were amazed with the battlefields and how they've preserved it. It's probably a good thing we don't live closer to York
jonadel Kev & Doug -- sending our IL neighbors more warm weather tomorrow and hopefully a little less wind. We were in MPLS this last weekend for Easter and to once again visit our brand new granddaughter. In a few places on i35 near Owatonna there are still dirty snow drifts near the southbound lanes in the west ditch. It's my understanding that the northern snow pack is still at least 12" deep and lakes frozen. Not much new on the train front here. I should put painters plastic on the layout to keep the dust off as I rarely run trains in the summer. How's your layout coming? I know you were working on scenery, I would enjoy pics if you get a chance. Sure enjoying spring and green grass, finally.

Jon, All of the snow is GONE!!!! Good to hear all is well, I for sure and I bet Doug will be glad to take it…. Bring it on, green is nice to see after the long winter. How did you do on LP usage?? We just made it at the 900 gal contract. My poor neighbor had to shell out $4.65 a Gal for his last fill. Countract price was $1.499. My friends place Mark's up past Green Bay is still under snow pack as well as Tom's place.
I miss those of you here that have been true friends. I am on a barrowed laptop because my friend Mark is trying to update the old PC from XP to windows 8. Not doing very good because the processor is too old to. I may have to just bite the bullet and buy new. So my on line is limited. Grand-kids are great, Sandra and I are now at six.
Today was yet another nice day on The North Bluff. We had Rain later today and tonight it will be cooling off. I am servicing the lawn mower tomorrow. Our Easter went fine to. There were 16 to 18 of us and it went smooth without a hitch. Lots of food with Gator rides and train running after eats. I hope the rest of you had a good one too.
I will be peaking in now and then, just can’t make this my home base after last years events. You can PM me anytime.
God bless!

Kev, From The North Bluff Above Marseilles IL.
Good afternoon all,
It has taken me all day just to get online with my broken down worn out old computer. Time for a new one.
We had a good family get together yesterday with church in the morning and dinner in the afternoon. My kids brought the food and I supplied stawberry shortcake for desert. We watched the movie Annie Get Your Gun after that with Betty Hutton.
Had a guy bang on my door this afternoon representing himself (I thought) with the Edison company trying to sell us solar panels. He says some finance company is in cahoots with the Edison Company to get the neighborhood on an energy saving mode. Says it won't cost me anything? I'm holding on to my wallet. Wants to come back Thursday and tell me all about it. I think I smell a rat. I told him that I have too much on my plate already without getting involved with something else. Wife goes in tomorrow to see a specialist and hopefully we can find out something about her dementia or whatever it is. I really don't know what the problem is yet so I shouldn't speculate but it is worrisome. Meantime she has been doing good for the past week but I have been with her constantly or had my son with her. She seems OK but I can't tell. Now and then she will come up with something that baffles me.
Went to foot doctor this morning for ingrown toe nail. It was pretty painful over the week end and luckily he took me today three days early.
Getting ready to cook squash and pork chops for supper.
All you Yorkies have a good trip!
Thought I would see what is new over here and I see your all doing about the same. Where is RIJack?
All is good on The North Bluff.
