Good Morning!

Sunny and 60 already! To think that we had the wood stove going last night. Going to take it a bit easy today. Over did it over the weekend.Doray and I spent last night just realaxing and watching TV with a couple of glasses of White Zifandel, next to the wood stove. Missed the Tardis last night. We were watching the PBS fund raiser with clips from the 60's bands on the Ed Sullivan Show and then we watched the shows we missed last week On Demand.

8n: My son would be drooling for the Marx Set. the TW is a great transformer. I have had mine over 50 years with no problems.

Bob: Good luck with the Daewoo.

Jack: My Christmas layout is still up in the living room. The living room and dining room is off to the side seperated by pocket doors and it is only used a few times a year. Doray is fine with it as long as I have it up for Thanksgiving. It saves me from going down in the basement.

Have a Great Day!

Aloha from a soggy, windy Chicago. Scratch one umbrella on the walk in. HudsonJohn, you are so right - action figure he is!  Nice quiet Sunday; threw the baseball around with the youngest, took him to the park for the first time this year, caught up on some Doctor Who too.

Good Mornin' Y'all From Overcast But 46 Degree Cape Ann,

Today I'll be joining you boys that have enjoyed the warmer weather.  I would like to get down my first coat of lime and fertilizer but my wife has window washing on her my agenda. In that way we can see clearly the lawn that was neglected. Bang Head  I think it was SJ whose wife has him wash windows so frequently that he has to keep replacing worn out glass. Bang Head  BTW....hope Granny feels even better today, SJ.

Chuck and LAZ.....the Red Sox won 13-0 yesterday too. Thumbs Up

Jake........you are not allowed to get sore after doing yard work until you are about 3 decades older.  Us older guys use a muscle relaxant to get through these activities. Beer Whistling

BOB.......you really love 2-wheeled vehicles, though I for one would have kept the motorized one you had.

8N......you get the lawn and garden award this year for being the first one to get the green rolling!! Thumbs Up  And thanks for the reminder!!!

V8......start wearing a helmet in the shower. Smile, Wink & Grin

LAZ......where do your fish in your pond spend the Winters? Surprise

JEFF.....don't feel too bad.  The sinus and allergy season is already upon us, even way up North.  Lucky for me my wife and I have none but our two kids (adults) do.

Later gang.

Good morning boys. We got some thunder and rain around 4:00AM Lightning Storm and I have been up since. Sleep

Cloudy and warm with another chance for rain later.

Sinus are still plugged on the left side but moving around will help. George just polished off the last of the milk from my Cheerios. I guess I will just see what the day brings.

Prayers for the families of those two children that were buried in the construction site in N.C. Angel What a shame. Sad

Have a good day

RJ: Charlie Brown the layout in your man cave will work out just fine.

John

I figure it will have to. It does give me more room for a larger layout but it takes room away from when we have people over. Oh well at least they'll have better entertainment this way!Laugh

RJ.......I tried that one with the wife over leaving the Christmas layout intact.  Didn't work.  She would rather the living room remain unused 99% of the time other than the holidays.  Wasted space!! A receptacle for furniture and dust.  The grandchildren do not agree with her. Sad

Jack

PS:  The Christmas layout is still up.  Wife must be getting senile. Thumbs Up

Good morning all!

I have a couple of busy days at work ahead of me. I work for a smaller cellular/internet company. We are working through issues with one of the larger carriers. Fun fun.

It is supposed to reach 54* today but 100% chance for rain.

I need to set up to post pics. Any suggestion on sites? That way when I post talks of the man-cave or other things you will have a visual to go by.

Kev ... hope you're feeling better.

Dennis ... hope the body is healing after your fall.

I know I missed a bunch here but you're in my thoughts and prayers for healing. Just a rookie still.Wink

Not to worry Buckeye, I would rather put my finger down my throat to purge the Rebel germs than eat grits. Ick! Same effect but I would not have to let the grits pass my lips. Laugh

About the only thing I can compare the taste of grits to is that super laxative one takes just before getting a colonoscopy, only worse.  Same after effects too. Laugh

Hello all

Well the Daewoo had to wait for a couple more gaskets. Head set didn't include them. Wasn't a Felpro set. This engine has a water inlet and well as an outlet and each has rubber o-ring shaped like Ohio or IllinoisTongue Tied

One is in a nasty place beneath the intake manifold and since the original problem w/ this car was lack of coolant, I decided we should do it right rather than just hit w/ silicone and hope for the best.

Put the chain guard and the baskets on the bike today so it is pretty much done. Rode it downtown w/ a friend today.

Gotta run to walgreens to pick up a prescription.

Nice weekend here. Sunny and high 690's/low 70's.

Chief - "Good morning America, how are you" - Wasn't that from Arlow Guthrey's "City of New Orleans" ?

Still busy, busy at work.  I've logged about a week's worth of hours since last Thursday morning, even though I I've only spent a few hours in the plant yesterday and today.

Yesterday's trip to the LHS netted a 2013 Greenburg Lionel price guide.  He has a complete Sears train set that was made by Marx.  It has Santa Fe war bonnet diesels, three passenger cars, three freight cars and enough track and switches to make a loop with a passing siding.  The original box is in reasonable shape too.  I am considering it.  A little more interesting is a Lionel TW transformer.  I am seriously considering that.

Painted some trim today and spread some early spring weed & feed on the lawn today.

All for now.

Good evening all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s.  First Communion service was nice but long.  Had a good visit with family. Watched the Indy car race.  Sarah's drive got a top 10.  Ryan Hunter-Reay won.  AJ's driver had a bad day, but picked up 3 spots in the last two laps to salvage some points.  Simona had a rough day.  TBIL and I can drive.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Temp is 65 but it feels like 50.

I'm wondering if that temp is right.  Oh well the Tigers and Red Wings lost today so my nap was worth it. I was watching Columbo when granny went off to bed about an hour ago. So here I am. We had some banilla with jello and I saved some for the thingy crew..S.J.

V8vega: I hope you recover quickly from your close inspection of the bottom of the shower. That sounded nasty!

Didn't get much sleep last night due to sinus trouble. Maybe I'll have better luck tonight. Been busy with a few things outside today and I'm tired. So I will be calling it a night a bit early. See y'all tomorrow.

V8 Dennis, Oh Lord! I hope you are alright after that fall in the shower.  It brought back unpleasant memories of when my sister fell in a shower in Yosemite National Park while vacationing with us a few years ago.  She was not so lucky though and actually had a fracture in her back.  She had to go to a hospital in Modesto.  What a nightmare trip that vacation was.  Her back is better now but she will never let me forget it. It really spoiled any desire to return to Yosemite even as much as I love that place.  Get better soon.

Went to TTOS train meet today and only thing I bought was a BLT at the snack counter.  Lots of stuff for sale though.  Just don't need/want much.  Only productive thing I did was spend some quality time with my recently widowed train buddy.

Wife and I going out with the husband of our terminally ill friend in the nursing home.  Going to a chicken and ribs place.

Sayonara,

Ray

Charlie Brown goto the link in my post it will allow you to look at over 700 real train pics, some of my trains and even a few links to youtube of my one train running on a shelf/ceiling layout I have. mine is 14' x 16' and about 22' of train.

Thanks for the link. Couldn't find the video. Nice collection and layout.Thumbs Up

The bedroom I was looking at going into is about 8 '6" x 9' 6". Which is way to small.

If yoou scroll down it shows youtube links under videos

try this first one camera on flat car infront of engine feels like your driving it

http://rtssite.shutterfly.com/1138

This second one the camera is in front of the church in the first video. Also best if you goto full screen and turn volume down to about 1/3 as recorded loud bymistake on both of them.
