Good Afternoon:
46 and sunny down the Jersey Shore.
I had a productive day today. I serviced and rotated the tires on the Explorer. Escort (My wife will not part with her 1999 Escort. Runs like a champ and sips gas), and my GMC Pickup. I then drained the tank, ran the gas out and fogged the snowblower. Chuck, please put the Snow Cannon away! I then detailed the interior of my truck. Tomorrow, weather permitting, I may turn on the outside water, go over the sprinkler system and yard work. The boat will have to wait until after York!
Charlie Brown, RJ: Sorry to hear about your early years, but it seems like your Grandpa was there for you. Good Luck with the layout. My Brother in law, AF53, aka, Ray and I live in Bayville, NJ. If you look at the map we are about half way between NYC and Atlantic City.
Jack: I keep thinking about your son in law, with the Comcast installation, the wire mess, the satellites and I keep laughing. Reminds me of my youngest brother.
Brutus, Jim, Good luck with work! Just don't take it home or let it eat you up inside.
Chief: Good luck with the Reporter. I hope that she does not twist things around.
DougDG: I hope that you get better soon. I know that they all count on you.
Jeffrey: Look at the bright side about cutting the grass. You get to try out the new tractor.
KevinK22: Hope to see you at York. We are meeting at the Round the Clock Dinner on Friday. You and your Dad are welcome.
Doug M.: I hope the smell is not a big problem with the van. Good Luck!
Fife: I hope the launching of the Yachet goes smooth. A special prayer for you Princess.
SPMan, Ray: I just can't wait for the Jersey Corn and tomatoes to be ready.
Ryan: Hang in there. We are here for you.
Jake: I hope you are feeling better.
SJ: Well wishes to Granny.
RT: I hope you are feeling better. Any Good Deals this week?
Kev: Enjoy the 1615.
Anybody hear from DJSpanky? Wondering how Tyler is doing.

Good afternoon. The only good news I have is that according to my calender at 11:59 PM one of the absolute worst weeks of my life comes to a close.
And at 12:01 AM a new one starts............
AF53, ever get in touch with that guy?
I'll catch up on the last 14 pages a little later tonight.
good to see all these new faces on here.

Good morning all,
RJ, welcome to the coffee pot. Regarding the grits discussion, don't be confused. It is all in fun. It is an attempt by the Yankees on here to put down a notable rebel in Rolesville, N.C. Grits is the South's answer to hash browns. It is cheap and easy to fix and fills you up. The only thing is that it is pretty bland by itself and needs something on it to taste good. I like it with fried eggs or even soft boiled which are mixed with it. They are also good with cheese. You can put just about anything you like on grits and it will taste good.
We had a nice get together this past Thursday of the not so regular anymore train group that meets at my layout. We had lunch first at a local restaurant and then came over to my layout. One of the guys brought over his newly aquired ATSF 3751 4-8-4 by Lionel and we gave her a good run. Very nice whistle and sound system on Lionel steam engines.
Cool cloudy morning today with a little drizzle too. Nice for a change. In a couple of months we will be complaining about the hot weather. Looks like it is going to be a pretty dry year with very little rain unfortunately. I might set out some tomato plants this year if the spirit moves me. The Chief always teases us about all the good things he gets out of his garden. We always had a vegetable garden in Virginia. We had good sandy loam soil and you could grow anything in it. Here in Southern California it is really hard adobe and needs sand to loosen it up. It's ironic that the Imperial Valley just a hundred miles or so down near the Mexican boarder produces one 6th of all the produce in the country or at least it used to. Don't know if that is still true or not. Of course, that is all on irrigated land.
TTOS train meet on Sunday. Might go to that.

Aloha. Grey and cold. Might be spitting rain a bit later. The Chief would be proud as I inadvertently had grits for breakfast and here I am still alive. Hope I can do a little outdoor work before the rains begin, but there's a funny smell I want to see if I can track down from the old van - something is burning that shouldn't but I don't see any leaks, anything visually wrong so far... the hunt continues.

Demay - Was just wondering, what are the locals saying about the little man across the East Sea? Are they taking him serious?
Buckeye came through town on AMTRAK yesterday, but I missed him. My buddies and I were tracking down a burglar at the time. Oh well. He said he'll be returning soon.

Temp is 36 with cloudy skies.
RJ if you ever have a meal with the Chief just make sure you know what's being placed in front of you to eat. He has been known to bribe the wait person to sneak Grits on the plate. Granny seems a little better this morning so maybe it was a one day thing. No big plans for today but next weekend will be busy..S.J.

RJ,
Chief has just not figured out that the south lost the civil war yet. So he keeps trying to sell us northerners on Grits. The yanks need to go down there now and then and do a raid to keep Chief on his toes. It is all in fun.

I hope my laptop didn't get hurt from all the drool that fell on it. That layout is awesome. If I ever get that far west it will be one of my stops for sure.
Kev ... long story on the name thing but I'll try to be brief but if you have seen my other postings you know that is impossible for me.
At birth my name was Gregory
Shortly there after my dad and his parents had it changed to Randolph so I become a junior.
My mothers side was a little upset about it. So my grandpa started calling me Charlie Brown and the others Called me R.J. which they stated the j was for my middle name Joseph and not junior.
So I guess it is best to call me R.j.
We have a snow rain mix this morning. It turns to all rain this afternoon. It's a good thing we need rain because it is supposed to rain the next five days.
High today 51*
Woke up hacking like a 40 year smoker and I don't smoke. So I must be catching something I don't want. Cloudy and like with BOC Dull Dull Dull out there. They say it will be mid 60s but rain in coming to mess it up as well as wind. I am sure glad we did not go UP this weekend seems they got plenty of snow. Guess we are going to re-group for the trip at the end of the month.
Bob, It was a good experience for me to take the 1615 apart. I learned a lot and now I got a bunch of your lost dirty Photons to mess around with.
SJ, I hope your better half mends up soon so you can get back to slacking off.
Have a good and safe day,
Prayers for all in need and it seem to be too many. and a special prayer for Fife's daughter.

Mornin' boys. Mornin' English. Sunny near 60 today in the Mid-Atlantic region. "Plan" is to get to the boatyard later. Need to repaint boot stripe and need a few days for paint to set up. Would love to splash on Thursday (a gift to myself).

Good Morning All,
It seems like it is going to be a nice day here outside of Philadelphia. That means it's time to get out in the yard and do some spring clean up in preparation for summer time grass cutting. We also have T-Ball practice at one, and that is ALL that is planned for this weekend. Looking forward to the quite. Two weeks till York, and as it's me and my Dad's first time I am quite excited about it. It will be a learning experience as we have to register at the door; but we will be there early enough it shouldn't be a problem. Hope everyone has a good weekend! Talk to you all later.
-Kevin
Good morning. It's 49° with 99% humidity. The high will be 75°.The plan for today is to mow the grass. With all the rain we've had lately it's growing by leaps and bounds and will be out of control if it's not cut soon. I don't anticipate getting much else done today.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a cold 30 degrees. Suppose to go up to 56 today with sunshine.
Today is an easy day. Didn't sleep good last night. Probably have an early lunch and a long nap.
Indians..... The Sports Announcer for the game last night said it very well, during the game, " The Indians would be playing much better, if they were AWAKE. !!!!!
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Saturday.

Hello all
Well the Daewoo is nearly back together. Just the intake manifold and some connectors. Yes, we are still at it, can only work on it for a few hours here and there. And we took everything off the engine, only thing we didn't mess w/ was the crank, rods, and pistons.
Got the portable spray booth in today. Looks like just what I need. Perfect size for some of my projects and O-gauge cars and engines
Kev - the 1615 was the only one I never took apart, go figure. Looked and ran well enough that I wasn't in a hurry to open it up. Of course you've prob already ran in more than I ever did. Got some brush springs I'll send your way at some point. Glad to hear it just needed a really good cleaning.
Dennis - belated happy birthday!
Hopefully we will finish the Leganza w/ meeatballs tomorrow and then some more bicycle work.
Night all

Evenin' Y'all.
Made it to the museum this morning, but to convince the BetterHalf it was ok I promised I would leave early if I felt I was getting overly tired. Made it til about 2:30 before I had to pack-up and head home, promptly fell asleep on the couch when I got here.
Had a couple of loco's demonstrate some DCS gremlins today, as BOC mite say "Oh joy" more potential repair bills.
John, Sounds like your Mom is doing great.
Banks, Enjoy the time with the Grandkids. Be sure to practice "Parental Revenge", spoil the heck out of them and send 'em home.
Mike, Hope things are moving positively on things that can not be mentioned.
SJ, Hope Granny feels better soon, however if she doesn't feel like cooking it sounds like a good excuse for chili dog and/or slider run.
About time to call it a night.

SJ - hope she feels better soon! Hi Charlie - hope the move is going well!
WEEKEND! YAY! This has been one heck of a terrible week at work. I can't talk about it, but we had to go talk to bargaining - hoping things will even out pretty fast, but I doubt it.
TARDIS is ready, so let's go - lots of banilla!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
HOME!!!! Will be gone again early tomorrow morning to farms to scout for turkeys [smart real ones, not Yankees ]. Interview with TV 11 was biase. Text the reporter from the lake screwing @^*, She then tried to justify. Chewed some more. Then she tried to appoligize. Now we are meeting face to face to discuss early next week.
Just got an email letter from Senator Kay Hagan [Democrat from NC]. She is opposed to changing the present laws on gun control. HUMM The Mayors for Illegal Guns [the stupid Morrisville Mayor's org] made the big news today as they were meeting with Hagan. Guess they left not satisfied.

Temp is 58, we had sun all day. But rain is in the forecast.
Granny stayed in PJs and robe today, VERY unusual for her. Not a cold not the flu so I'm not sure whats wrong. We have banilla for the guys but for now I'm a-gonna see whats on TV...S.J.
charliebrown Kev good news on that engine. I hope to work on mine this weekend. Not sure it will happen though. I have a honey-do list as long as my arm. Kev I watched all your vids on youtube. It gave me some ideas for my layout and how I can maybe incorporate the trestle in and still run a long train. Thanks for posting them.
