Temp is 21, it's gotta get warmer some day.

The new Lionel set catalog is out. Pretty much the same stuff with new paint schemes. A good looking CP passenger set with an FT engine though. And a couple sets that include the new remote controller. It's cold and yucky out so I'm planning to stay in today..S.J.

Morning all.  Back from workout.  Tough.  Sunny and chilly but not Yankee cold.  No snohio here.  Think Jon might be in for some.  Helps their crops grow and puts moisture in the ground to help with dry times.  Errands and then a meeting in Raleigh.  Now for a shower.

Later.

Bob, sounds interesting, can't be too bad if you've been doing it 11 years.

KEV, ahhhh the wonderful UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE  Black Eye   who would have ever thought that they could screw that up?  You take the number on the box and match it to the number on the house on the listed street and put it at the door.............

I have "special Needs" adults working for me that could figure that out.........

And yet they STILL can't figure out why they lost how many Billion last quarter?

COLD and Blustery day here.

If that is the face of the NEW NASCAR, I'll watch without the Dodges there....she looks good coming or going...and MUCH better looking than that Earnhart cat....or the "pretty boy" in the 24..Laugh

Didn't make it to the viewing last night, I have been hurting and exhausted this last week.  Back pain meds, flovent, and work....I ate dinner sat on the couch and was done.

I was suppose to have a short day tomorrow but found out that I'm being sent to Brooklyn....(no sleep 'til Brooklyn....[banghead}) and I'm working Saturday.  Which also means I'll be making another payment on the NJ Transit set.

Off to lunch, if I'm concious, I'll see ya all tonight,,,,,,

Good morning all, sunny and cold this morning.  It rained a little last night and even hailed.  It was only about the size of BB's.  No snow in lower foothills so snow level stayed above 2000 ft I would guess.

V8 Dennis,  My Williams engines run good together too.  I used to have a lot of those fundimension engines when they were new.  They also seemed to burn up brushes too fast.  I had a friend repairman who used to put in new brushes for me but he said the new brushes were not as good as the original Lionel ones back then.  I suspect they have corrected that problem by now.  My MPC engines were always needing service so I eventually got rid of all of them.  Hope you have better luck.

Had big chicken dinner last night.  Boneless skinless chicken *** covered with a sauce.  Mashed potatoes and same sauce (made from cream of chicken soup) green peas with pearl onions and Pillsbury buttermilk Grand bisquits plus cranberry sauce.  Good meal but too labor intensive.

Need to get back to daily walking.  Been neglecting it with cooler weather.  I have another doctor check up March 5th so I better get cracking to keep my numbers down.

later,

Ray

When I went to the post office they said that when it got there yesterday, "Amy" scanned it as delivered but it should of been scaned as arrived at unit. They called the mailman and he said he had it on the load.

It came today.        Alls well that ends well. Smile          For the most part I have very few problems with delivery of parcels to the house. I can live without Saturday deliveries as I posted before since I don't have a set up like HudsonJohn and AFRay. Whistling

Bob and Rich,

3.73 is what I'll be going with after more reading/thinking.  That seems to be the best all around ratio.  Not sure if I want to have the gears swapped, or if I want to swap the entire axle myself.  I can get a new, complete 3.73 axle that is better than the stock unit and not have to worry if the pinion depth and backlash are set properly.

V8Dennis,

I was on a GM J Platform forum, and it was like being back in high school for the most part.Thumbs Down Those that were friendly and knowledgeable were run off by punks.  Don't miss the forum or that horrible excuse of a car.  Niche cars like the Fiero don't seem to suffer from the "it's just a car" crowd that get their hands on cars and destroy them like they do with the common, cheap cars.

Ended up passing on the Taurus.  It had nearly 109K, and it just isn't the kind of car I want after I test drove it.  Felt like I was driving a very large couch.Smile, Wink & Grin  Didn't have a good feeling about the dealer either.

Batten Down The Hatches, here we go!  We are in the cross hairs of the snow cannon and that's a good thing, we really need the precip -- rain would be my preference but we'll take what ever we can get in any form.  The weather guessers have been talking about this storm since last weekend so every one should be prepared, hopefully common sense will be used but that's most likely not going to happen.  Our area is supposed to get about 8" but just west of us it will be a minimum of 12".

Let the FUN begin Yes Beer Smile, Wink & Grin

I got a little work done on the layout this morning. Then went to my fathers place to list some items on a local garage sale site for him. These included my mothers Pontiac G6. We had a lunch of pot roast, turnip greens, black-eye peas, sweet potatoes, biscuits and onions. After that we went to town. First the barber shop for haircuts. Now I don't have to apply for a dog license. Then to Wal-Mart to pick up some much needed essentials then back home. For dinner I had some homemade chicken, sausage and rice gumbo. Good stuff! Looks like plenty of rain coming tomorrow.

Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Konnichiwa,

I’m just wrapping up my lunch break. It is sunny and a little warmer outside than it should be. I believe today’s high is around 50. I won’t complain if that is the case this Sunday when I’m running the marathon. The workday is plugging along nicely and there are no major issues pending. Unfortunately I did not have any time during lunch to catch the Tardis.

Congratulations Charlie!

BOC – I’ll be praying for you.

SJ – Thanks for the catalog info; I’ll try to peek at it later.

Joe

CHIEF - what the heck is wrong with NC drivers?  My sister's neighbor jumped in his new car this morning and tore down the street and right smack into their brick mailbox!  The car and mailbox were both totalled - it is an awesome picture actually!

Caught the guys for chat last night and tonight.  Big storm coming and they already cancelled schools for tomorrow.  I don't want to get stuck downtown in the ice storm, so I already took off for tomorrow.  I need to find a box tomorrow and some bubble wrap - we have a whole box of that stuff somewhere around here.  Sold some switches and track - old lionel o gauge (black tie) stuff and O22 switches and gg switches.  Just gonna keep the gg track and ross switches I intend to use on my layout.  Need to rewire a couple light fixtures - might do that while I'm off tomorrow?  TARDIS is ready and I can drive, so let's go guys!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

good morning every one

hope all is well with all

I think I am going to start going to Jefferies house for lunch and dinner

kev, glad they found your package.

looks like im runnig solo today at work, just about every one has called off sick.  I got lucky on this round of the flu, only had it real bad for about 24 hours, of course that was last sunday.  could never happen on a week day when I could take a sick day ........

All it takes is one person (customer, employee, or vendor)  to come in this place sick and it ravages through here like the boubonic plague

on a positive note, I will have to rescheadual my docs appointment from this after noon to when ever, as I cant leave. So I get to post pone the butt reaming about my cholesterol.

In I guess "a final count down" to my mandatory life style changes I thought were comming today, I went to a local place that has the best wings I've ever had (and I've had lots of em at hundreds of places) I sat down to two dozen of those suckers and savored every one of them.

Boy I'm gonna miss them ( I have for as long as i remember eat wings at LEAST twice a week, if not more)

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....

It is a cold 20 degrees. Going up to 30 today with a little sunshine.

Today is a busy day. Wife is grocery shopping and I am doing a few chores. Then, put all the groceries away and  have lunch. And, of course, a nice afternoon nap.

Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.  After 7 years of eating Cheerios for breakfast, my colesterol is at 180. It sure beats taking a pill.

Y'all have a great Thursday.
