Well hello - it works tonight!  I couldn't get into this thread to post last night.  Also I see the locked page is still locked, but I guess that's okay now.

Well, some tiny little metal piece broke on my La-z-boy chair.  It's just a little bent piece of metal with clips on either side, which locks into the track teeth to hold the foot rest.  one of the little side metal bits broke off.  I'll stop at LzB on the way home tomorrow and get a replacement or get one ordered.  Other than that, I'm about brain dead this week with training all day - it's just enough new stuff to make it work and just enough stuff I already know to make parts of it terribly boring.  Oh well, one more day and that's over with.

TARDIS is ready, freddy!  Let's get a move-on.

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

I was on the forum last night just before it went down.

Chief had posted something about consigning some cinder blocks to a friend of his who is a B-52 driver and asking him to make some deliveries in the 'nawth'.

Chief - since my place is much farther away than other points 'nawth', I'm not worried about the blocks with my address.  The grits will have seeped out of them and gummed up the poor airplane long before it gets here.  Good thing Whiteman AFB is 1/2 hour down the road.  Your buddy will have a good runway to put his crippled plane down on.

Laz - you said something about Lionel putting out another K-Line catalog?  I thought they sold that name.

All for now.

Good night all.  Been reclinerizing since 8.  Meds I guess.  Dr. heard gurgling and sent me for xray.  Sent me home.  Stopped and picked up more meds.  Bowl of home made veggie soup and out I went.  Wifey feeling poorly too. [Copy cat] Real warm outside.

Jon and Jack, agree.  Looked like a fuzzy hairy worm wiggling across the floor.

Charlie, they were suppose to hit Sir J's.  I must have given him the wrong GPS.  Next flight will be a load of wet grits dumped on 8N.  He'll call it snow. Whistling  Its really grits camoed.

Roy, thanks for the warming.  Jeffrey, keep your storms.

Got a ribbon cutting at Ophthalmologist buddy of mine who has just moved his practice to Rolesville.  Then house arrest [especially if rainy].

Off to bed I go.  Sleep tight.

Just got home from the mountain not too long ago. We got about 6" of new snowhio last night. I crashed until about 3PM and the boys had it all plowed when I left.

Here's a link to the clip I made of the Marx clockwork train:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLanW6gDi20:550:0

These things can really move. No pile ups but the caboose was on two wheels at one point!

Busy day tomorrow. Time to find a pillow.

Buckeye Riveter

Chief.....Why on page 35 did you say those horrible, nasty, slanderous and abusive comments about Chuck, Laz, Jon, SP, Jack, fife, Brent, Laz again, rt, Don, SJ, Doug, Rich and Kev?  Whistling

I know, Buckeye.  It has gotten pretty bad with the Chief.  It's the grits and the Eagles Nest (TM) moonshine he calls meds. Whistling

Last night he had a second post in the works, worse than the first, taking potshots at Brutus, Darren, 8N, Roy, JoeyD, JimSP, Dennis, AF Ray, SubmmBob, Jeffrey, Wes, V8, HudsonJohn, Charlie, Mel, Northwoods, MikeC, JimmyT, Traindood, and even Pat and Banks.  But before he could hit the post button, he dozed off on his recliner.

After reading the Chief's first post, Jeffrey took action.  He fired up his 1981 UltraLight and flew East under the radar to Roseyville, riding the LA. storm tailwinds at record speed.  When he landed at the Mayors Mansion, the Chief's dogs/security detail were fast asleep in the mud under the porch as usual.  Jeff was able to perform his electrical magic on the internet cable and the John Deere that Chief runs to generate electrical power.  In a flash, he brought down all Mayoral communications except for the carrier pigeons, figuring they were too fat to fly anyway and were probably dinner for tonight. .

Before Chief awakened from reclinerizing, Jeff had weathered the BOX (autos didn't need it), took recon photos of the abandoned trucks and cars in the yard, commandeered some moonshine from the Chief's still-unsecured open shed to refuel, and escaped back to Sundown LA. unnoticed.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....

It is 44 degrees. Rained last night. Going up to 50 today with more rain. Crazy weather.

Today is a busy day. I have a project to work on and the usual chores. One small errand to run. Other than that , not much else new.

Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.

Konbanwa,

I wasn't able to read page 35 or make any posts yesterday.  I wonder how much money Chief paid Dougdagrump to take the fall for the problem.  It's late now so I only have time for a quick post.

Chuck - The northern parts of Japan enjoy lots of snow, but unfortunately I am near Tokyo in central Honshu and this part of Japan does not get much.  We are supposed to have some light snow the next couple of days so I'd appreciate you turning up the snow cannon.

Charlie - Thanks for posting the video, but it's hard to tell what happened.  I see some folks scrambling but not the cause.  How do all those Cab 1s and Cab 2s work together?  I presume each person is brining their own with them?

Bob - That's a cool looking train.  Thanks for sharing it.

Joe

Good mooring guys,

Cloudy and 33 degrees with fog. They are calling for sun but I will wait till I see it to believe it. Looks like all points east are going to get the wet today and Jeffery can dry out and won't need to post any radar shots because there won’t be anything on them. I see FEMA got the last of the toxin filled temporary housing trailers out of Louisiana. I wonder where they all ended up? Some looked a lot like Chief’s WRECK TANGLE.

Slept like a rock again last night and just got up at 8:20. Must be the new foot meds. They do say "May cause Drowsiness or Dizziness", Zzz kind of like beer then.  Beer

Charlie and Bob, nice video clips. That must have been the block intended for me that hit in the end of the clip because no damage here.  Whistling

RIJack I find it hard to believe that Jeffery could get off an attack with the weather he had yesterday I did not think you could fly an UltraLight it that weather or anything in that case. Storm  Travel

LAZ your right about DA Rectangle. It's not a box it is a WRECK TANGLE.  Laugh

Joe I was thinking the same thing about DougDG taking the rap for the crash.  Confused

Later guys

Northern borders secured night and day against the dumping of Southern toxic waste North of the MD line.

Chief foiled again.....landscapers out in force in my neighborhood today, getting a jump on Spring Cleanups while this February's sunny weather remains in the mid to high 40s for the time being.  Springtime is always very wet here, the reservoirs are all full, the same with the aquifers.  No shortage of water or stored water here.  The usual snowfalls were rainfalls instead.

Later.

Good morning. It's 59° and cloudy with some fog. The high will be 72° with breaking clouds and some sun.

It looks like we'll have a brief respite from the rain today but indications are for more showers to come in tonight with more rain over the weekend. Anybody wanting fresh rain water should send down a train of tank cars and fill up. Then you'll have more rain water than you'll ever need.

My plan for today is to weather some freight cars. I have seven blue boxcars in front of me, one L&A and six KO&G that are way too clean and shiny. They all also have the same number. All that will have to change. I have some old dry transfers that may take care of the number problem. That depends on whether they're too old or not.

My days as a care-free teenager have come to an end. My duties as vice-president of my parents heavy machinery recycling business start today. My study-at-home college courses for accounting and business management start next week so it looks as if I will have a lot on my plate for a while. How many guys go from unemployed 18 year old high school graduate to VP of a nation-wide company overnight! This is a huge step for me. I hope I do not trip on the way up. I hope I will have some time to work on my layout. I have yet to even start on the benchwork. I have all the lumber, plywood and tools I will need. I just need time. I can try the advice a good friend gave me. If something is important you make the time.

39 and cloudy, we had rain overnight.

The pileup occurred when it looked like the scale Berks were going to rear end another train. Someone grab the caboose, that turned over the cars on the curve taking the Berks with them. The video was taken from a phone camera riding in a gondola behind the second tender. Well home from the store, ready for the noon rehashed news..S.J.

Good afternoon all,

It is milder in SE Indiana with temps in the 40s.  Feeling better today.  Just rested all last night.   Read Billy Graham's latest book,  Nearing Home.  He is one of the few TV evangelists I admire and respect.  Like to read his daily column in the paper as well.  Usually pretty good advice.  Work goes well today.  Lots of meetings.  I had the regular fare on the dining car this morning for breakfast.  TBIL anytime tonight.  I hope everyone has a good day.  I wonder if anyone will ever know what happened to page 35.

Keep on training,

Been thinking about what happened to page 35.  I think it was a Yankee conspiracy.  Maybe it was my fault.  I was on there when it crashed trying to give some reinforcement to the Chief who was under attack at the time.  I had been making suggestions about the new deck on the box.  I said that adding a screened in porch with swing and maybe a spit-toon would be a nice touch.  I mentioned something about the last battle of the war between the states (nothing civil about it) which was fought in the West was won by the rebels.  Right after that page 35 was history.  Coincidence?

Chief get well soon,

Darn! Looks like my secret is out! Now they'll be scanning the skies in weather good and foul should I be coming in to put the grits production facility out of action. I'd think a few well aimed monkey wrenches in the machinery should do the trick.

Afternoon all,

Sorry for not checking in sooner. My trips to the mountains last weekend was nice, I liked being cut off from the world of technology for a weekend as it actually gave me a chance to relax. Besides, most of the people I hang out with were there with me!

I got home late Sunday afternoon and fell asleep immediately. The weekend wore me out but in a good way. I'm excited to do it again! Monday morning got me started into painting again and I've worked everyday so far this week except for today. I'm hoping to finish the bedroom tomorrow even if it takes all day.

BTW, I'll be at the Reading Greenberg Toy and Train show this Saturday all day long. I'll be with the SEPGRS garden railroad modular layout and occasionally walk around to see what's new since I've been out of the hobby for an extended period of time! If anyone else is going, I hope to meet you guys there!

Well I'm getting ready to head to a late class. Thankfully I have a 5 day weekend this weekend so hopefully I can catch up on some sleep!

See ya guys!
