Good morning. It's 49° and cloudy with dense fog. The high is looking to be 69° and it will be partly cloudy.Well I didn't even get one weathering project started yesterday. Maybe today will be different. I hope today doesn't turn into a repeat of yesterday. My father thought it would be much better if I spent time at his home than at my own. Problem is there's nothing to do there than spend time with them and I can't take any projects with me because I can't spend time with them if I'm working on something and weathering projects tend to be dirty affairs which are best not done in the presence of two attention starved (spoiled rotten is more like it) poodles and one very curious cat that demands to be in the middle of whatever is going on. And now you know why I didn't get anything done yesterday. Right now it's way too humid in here. I have to get the moisture level down a bit or the weathering powder will tend to clump and not work right. Be back later.

Konbanwa,
We had a chilly, overcast day most of today. It rained for a little bit this evening and it may snow overnight. I bought the wife some flowers today; she always tells me not to do that, but I always do. However, I don't buy roses on Valentine's Day and usually buy some other colorful arrangements. I buy her roses on our anniversary. We ordered pizza for dinner and watched Soul Surfer. It's a very good movie with a positive message. After the kids went to sleep, the wife and I watched a Rick Steves episode: Swiss Cities.
Bob - I'm sorry the new job plans fell through. I'm glad you still have a good job to go back to.
I'll pray for all of us (families, friends) in need.

Morning. Warmer but cloudy. Snowing in NC at several thousand feet above the ground. REB Army campfires are making it melt and evaporate as it falls.

Congrats to Arizona on its gun laws and immigration lasws which the UNION is trying to overturn. You are lucky that nothing was there except Apaches when the REB Army marched west. Actually New Mexico was taken by the REB Army for short while.
Later.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a cloudy 34 degrees. Going up to 40 today with a chance of snow flurries.
Today is a busy day. I have chores to do and an errand to run. Then, I can take it easy. Maybe a nap later.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.

30 degrees and a fresh sheet of snow. Not much just enough to make everything white. Wife did not sleep well the night before last so that means no one did. So we both crashed early last night. I slept like a rock but am wide-awake now. Got a friend coming over this afternoon to site in a 30-06 he just had worked on at Gander Mountain on the 100-yard range here. Should be fun. Off to the foot DR at 10:45. Sorry about the job Bob. I barley made it through my last CDL physical because my blood pressure was not that of a 20 year old. It gets harder all of the time. For now I am good for 2 more years.

Aloha and to Arizona. I'll get some on the way home. Baby niece may be released from the hospital today - thanks for your prayers. Updated kids' FAFSAs. Trying to puzzle out my daughter's tax situation - she worked all summer in OH but still lives in IL. Scattered tiny dinosaurs all over the house for the youngest to hunt when he gets up. Ran trains for a bit last night. Was musing about creating another destination for Thomas' branch line. Sorry about the job, Bob! Glad you had something else still.

Hazy sunshine and high 40s forecast for today with these daily high temps remaining through the end of the week. I have started Spring cleanup early this year for the first time ever. At this rate, I will be dropping the first dose of pelletized lime and fertilizer four weeks from now. When you have a dog, you can't slack off on this stuff. Or instead of grass you wind up with a whole lot of dirt, mud, weeds, and a reseeding project to do a couple of months down the road. Much of the mud winds up on the dog and is tracked into the house.
A good friend who is an accomplished "expert" at canine obedience competitions at the highest level has contacted us and has offered to privately train my wife/Maximus every week, along with just one other dog owner/dog team.....for free.
She has seen Maximus perform in the obedience ring with Pam at the wheel this past Fall at the Doberman Nationals (held in Fitchburg MA.) and sees a whole lot of upside potential in her and in him as we enter the 2012 competition season.
This woman owns the most accomplished Doberman training out of our canine training center: nothing but top scores and mostly first place, podium finishes for her and her pup. Before she retired her dog from competition, she achieved not one but two #1 national rankings in 2009 (results published in Front and Finish Magazine)........one ranking for the breed (Doberman) and another for the entire working group!
Are we intimidated and scared we won't perform? You bet. Are we afraid of setback or mediocre results? You bet. Are we going to take the plunge and try to move up a few notches? You bet!!!! Nothing to lose and everything to gain in my mind.
As I observed with the wifey........"Your choice. Would you rather look back some day and merely wish you had taken this opportunity and pushed the envelope with Maximus; or would you rather look back with satisfaction and say you did your best?." In life, It ain't so much where you finish that counts. It is the effort that counts. The results will take care of themselves.
DougDG........that link you provided yesterday isn't working for me, not yesterday, not today. .
JoeyD........that is yet another misdirection play by the better halves, when they say don't bother with flowers on V-Day. Another case of where they say "no" and that mean "yes." Don't fall for it, especially after the stress of the move, getting situated, acclimating to a whole new culture, getting the lay of the land, and making new friend inroads. Even if you are a day off, go for it. Getting flowers when they are not expected differentiates you from the rest of the male population and makes her feel more special.
DougM.......great updated news on your baby niece. What a scare!!!!!!! Prayers continue.
Chief........listen to SJ about the important details in completing the BOX ambience. You have a personal reputation to uphold and the image of the entire South to maintain. Plus Jeff needs more fine examples of the Southern ways for his junk carr/truck weathering projects too. By the by, hope you are feeling better.
Later, gang.
Jack.

Bob don't feel so bad in VA. you can go thru all the aspects of getting a cdl but its not any good till you have your medical card to go with it well I finally got my CDL and went to get my physical and was denied on the grounds of my difribalator if I had a pacemaker only it would of been approved.

Dennis......I move on. Too much to read as it is without having to decipher things. I may get to those threads eventually if I have time; or I may not. The non-descriptive thread titles also make forum searches a protracted pain in the caboose.

Morn'n CTTFans!
Day started out with work calling at 6:30A with issues on our Production systems so cut breakfast short and hopped onto the laptop to find and fix the issues. Not the most enjoyable way to start ones day!
Right now it's 26F and Sunny and trying to remember to pick up a special desert on the way home for a V-Day dinner or you know who will be hurting tonight outside in the dog house!

First weathering project today.
Second weathering project today.
Well, wasted trip to heart Dr. Said the samething he said after cath. He wants Ins. money.
Deck finished and blocks gone. They are gray so I figured certain folks would know where they came from. Had a couple extra so think they may go to a "buddy" up in MI.
Bet you all didn't know I could pick and sing that good.
Paint popped off of my new compressor. Must have been made up Nawth. Taking it back to Sears even though I got extra discount.
Real warm and a few sprinkles between sun.
Good afternoon everyone. Getting ready to go pick up the kids. Daughter has ballet/tap dancing this afternoon, so I will bring both kids there and then meet the bride for Valentine's Dinner. Had card and candy ready this morning, so I'm good on that.
Jack, it actually may be seen in some theaters again. If you go to the Courageousmovie.com, and look up theaters, perhaps there is one near you. I know they are still opening theaters in other countries too, and now that it won several awards, it may be shown again.
Joe, the girl from Soul Surfer is really a great kid. She met up with the guys from our production team and had her photo taken with all the principles. She posted a bunch of them on her facebook page. She really walks the walk.
Gotta run, but before I go, Laz, dog went nuts yesterday morning because the deer in the backyard. He scared them off, but they will be back.\

Good morning all,
Bob, sorry about the job. Sometimes these things are a blessing in disguise. Hope for the best.
Chief, I see you are getting a lot of suggestions for Southern decorating on the box from non Southeners. That figures. What that deck really needs is a roof with a mandatory swing hanging from the ceiling, maybe a screned in porch but if not, a metal container to burn some rags in to run off the skeeters in the summertime. A spit-toon would be a nice touch too for tobacco chewers and snuff dippers. I think I read where the last battle of the Civil war was fought in the West but don't remember the state. Anyway the Rebs won.
Blood test this morning out of the way. See Dr. for check up next week.
Happy birthday Arizona!
later,
Ray

Third weathering project today.
Fourth weathering project today. That's all for today.
Evening. A few sprinkles. Nothing but warm now. Took compresser back. Supervisor could not figure how I got so many discounts on the one I got last week. She did some figuring and gave me $3.50 back. Yes, each time I go back, they give me more money back. Its getting funny. Anyway, got new compressor.
Jeffrey, great job.
Guess I am going to have to start my heavy meds. [Levaquin] Chest getting real tight. One of the "hang out" guys at Hunters Haven has a meter. He has to have O2 some of the time. He checked me after a coughing spell. Coughing and blood ox drops below 90. Call the Dr. tomorrow AM.
Rest now.
