AH, fresh coffee. I think we set a record for number of posts for a month. Mostly "stuff" Buckeye made up about the good old Roseyville. Made the old Pot taste like we were brewing and old boot.
Sleep tight.

Evening all, (gonna respond to previous posts in the old coffee pot)
It was a rather easy day here, not too much trouble. I finished off a delicious Padron cigar this evening which was a nice treat!
RockIsland52: Yes, I'm happy I got out when I did. I just wish I didn't spend as much money on her as I did. I learned a lot about what I will not tolerate, and being walked all over is one of them.
RT: Happy Birthday!
Mike C from Indiana: I think I'm going to get started in soccer again this summer. I need to get back into better shape and soccer was the best workout that I've ever had or endured! I loved every minute of it!
I joined a few railfan groups tonight as I'm headed out to Altoona at the end of February and possibly May too.
Gonna turn in a little early tonight, even though I have an evening class tomorrow. I want to at least attempt to make up some sleep that I have missed!
Night guys.
Hello February!
and.. Happy Birthday RT

Good morning all,
It is raining in SE Indiana with temps in the 50s. TMCC man, good to hear you will be playing soccer again. I am supposed to scrimmage with the high school kids tonight if they show up. Long day at work with IT spinning their wheels again. Today I will have a lot to do. May check out the super bowl village in downtown Indy again. Good size crowd there, somewhat like 500 but not close. I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on to "Points East". Happy B-Day, RT. TBIL after soccer tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana

Headed to VA to swap frigs in the lake house. Frig we took up has ice dispensor in the door. We have let it run and chill for a couple of days. Now swap foods and move the other one to storage shed for extra cooled storage. Comes in good in the summer when we have visitors and picknicks. Back to take some Mayors to the Human Services Southern Regional Center.
Very warm today. Showers tonight.
Have a good one.

So many roads, so little time.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a mild 48 degrees. Just started to lightly rain. Going up to 58 today with more rain.
Today is a busy day. I have a few business phone calls to make and the usual chores to do. I plan on starting a new project. And of course, a nap later.
Dining car rolled in from Points East and we are having Cheerios for breakfast. Then, it's all aboard for Points West.
Y'all have a great Wednesday.
Chuck
Konbanwa,
I was able to catch up with the Tardis during my lunch break today. Unfortunately I could only stay for a few minutes but they seemed to be behaving alright. The wife made sausage and sauerkraut for dinner with some roasted potato wedges and green beans on the side. She used to make fried potatoes with this meal but we are trying to be a bit healthier now. Either way it was delicious. I just finished some schoolwork and need to be off to bed soon.
AF Ray - I'm glad you liked it. My wife denied my request to build a layout under our king size bed. That is a lot of wasted real estate in my opinion.
Kev -
Chief – What is a “frig?” That must be some silly Reb word for refrigerator. I'm surprised the South even has such modern day appliances.

Aloha . Looks a bit greyer and cooler than yesterday but still welcome. Colin, I think you'd love going back to soccer. Like you said, it's a great workout. Joe, that's a tasty breakfast. Nice riding the Tardis last night with the crew...
41 with bright sun this morning. Yeah you guys are right about the Mayor having to guess what time it was. I guess since it was dark he figured it must be Feb. Chief many years ago, it was so cold one night that the batteries in my car flashlight would not work. We haven't had any more like that thank you. I have been testing the waters on the new OGR forum this morning, guess if I can do it anybody can...S.J.
A big group on the Tardis last night, lot's of chat going on.
RT--Happy birthday
Morning all,
Mike and Doug: I'm hoping my knee will allow me to play. Ever since the surgery, I've had to stretch for about an hour and a half before I could start aggressively running. I was landscaping over the summer, so it was close to a soccer workout minus the running.
I don't know what to do today! I have a late class tonight so my whole day is open. I'm doing an NS Lehigh Line tour/chase on Friday with my buddy Kyle. Sadly, I didn't get on the Lehigh Line today as originally planned because NS 212 (intermodal) has UP 8545, UP 7424, and UP 7690 leading. The train usually has foreign power leading but a solid set of foreign power is unusual.
Later guys.
Buckeye Riveter Happy Birthday RT (again) I believe the January Coffee Pot had the best coffee ever served. It has been brought to my attention that I have not explained the Chief's master diversion while he attempted to coordinate my capture by the Roseyville Police. He took me to see Miss Todd's Train Store where he put out the APB out on me with a $50,000 reward, dead or alive. It was his intention to turn me in and collect the reward for himself.
Buckeye......these two even look like they are up to no good!!!! Lucky thing Miss Pam tipped you off.

Happy February CTTFans!
It's 27F here and they are talking about some serious white stuff coming our way in the next day or two. Already had to pull over two SPAMMER posts today so this RR Forum Cop would like his coffee a bit stronger today with maybe a hint of Jack in it please.
Happy birthday RT!

Good morning everyone. Up early to plant five more fruit trees. Done, showered up and getting ready to head out. Have to head to the county superior court to have the final paperwork for our adoptions authenticated. Then it is off to the secretary of state for final stamp of approval. The final end to the paperwork will be sending the documents to China. It would be easier to buy another house.
While planting the trees, I did some pruning that I plan to make some trees from the clippings for the layout. With the exception of the last few days, I have been getting a fair amount of work done with the scenery. With a few solid hours of work, I can get the layout "finished". My wife will be happy as it will clear a fair amount of clutter.
Hard to believe it is February already. Time flies when you keep busy.
Have a great day,
Morning guys,
Logging in again from the National Toy Train Museum. Still working on updating the periodical index. Tomorrow is a big holiday here in PA. Groundhog day! We have had a couple of very mild days, yesterday hit the 60s and today may go even higher, not bad for the middle of Winter. Probably we will pay for it later as it usually balances out.
Take Care,
John
Good Mornin' Y'all From Partly Sunny Taxachusetts,
Thanks goes out to all youse guyz Points West for sending the warm weather my way. Will hit the low to mid 50s today, and the local golf driving ranges are expecting a high turnout of the die-hards!!!
RT.........you are going back to bed?!? It's your birthday, fella! I am surprised the wifey doesn't have some landscaping for you to do in honor of the occasion.
I think I have fallen for an expensive scam, fleeced big time.
At the end of last week I turned our 10 year old electric oven on bake and set the temperature to 170 degrees to keep a pizza warm. The bake and preheat lights had clicked on as expected. Meanwhile the wifey and I went into the family room and sat down in front of the TV to start our meal out with a salad. I wandered back in the kitchen only to find that the bake element on full high, the bake and preheat lighst on, and the oven temperatures well past the set temperature of 170.
None of the on/off or temperature controls worked, could not shut the sucker down, and I had to scurry to the electric box to throw the 220 breaker to shut the range down! Had we not been close by (like out for a walk or doing yard work while dinner cooked), we could have had a fire raging in the oven and/or beyond!
The next AM while my wife googled to do some research on our brand and model, I turned back on the 220 breaker and did some testing......all had returned to absolute normal on every setting and function, and the oven operated perfectly. But what my wife found on the internet re our brand and model series was a website with page upon page of one horror story after another, about about the same issue (full-on stovetop burners, bake elements, and broil elements.....varying from one poster to another).
Some folks had oven fires and meltdowns of proximate stuff. There was/is a Consumer Products Safety Commission recall on our series, but not our specific model. No consumer help was evident (from the posts) from the big box stores or the manufacturer either, unless of course one had extended warranty coverage.
Many of the hundreds of posters went on to say that the repair guys' success at correctly diagnosing and fixing the "berserk range" issues on the first pass (various expensive parts) seemed hit and miss since once the stove had "reset" itself by powering it down, they could not replicate the issue.
Wife declared in no uncertain terms we would not roll the dice on a suspect repair, risk a house fire with her precious dog resident (no mention of precious me ), or throw good money after bad. So Saturday I found myself out shopping with her, looking at new ranges. The wife knew exactly what she wanted, decided we would go with a stainless finish this time to match our other more recently replaced kitchen appliances.
I think my wife is a cunning and clever opportunist, like a special forces sniper, silently waiting in the weeds, waiting for a clean shot, in order to score a new range.. After all, shouldn't an electric range last more than 10 years? The timing of an unexpected, big-ticket expense was not good, never is. But I have to admit, I had no valid and logical counter argument when she kept playing the "housefire" and "guessing repair people" cards. New unit was delivered and installed yesterday, and the science project I found under the old range was fascinating if not putrid.
Later, gang!
