Chief I've had 2 caths as long as you have someone to drive you home unless they find something wrong they let you go home the same day. They would of me but I was 60 miles away and my other 1/2 doesn't drive so she stayed here and I had to stay over night.

Well in a little while I'm going to hook up my router I guess and see how things go from there. will be nice to use laptop anywhere in the house.

Then when I get the desk top back it can be hooked up to its old cable and be fine its way alsoBig Smile

Not much else going on here.

Chief best of luck with the results of the heart cath.

Konbanwa,

I had a fairly busy day at work but nothing too extreme.  The princess and I had a simple dinner tonight: cereal.  My wife and older son went out for dinner together.  I offered the princess a hot meal but she wanted cereal and that worked for me.

Dennis - I'm glad you're so close to completing the layout.

Kev - Thanks for the photos; everything looks great.  I'm happy the ZW is working out for you.

Chief - I hope all goes well at your appointment.

Sayonara,

Joe

Wow it is foggy.

No wife last night, just me and the cat, she was at the daughters babysitting. Hope they had less fog than we have here for her drive into work today.

Chief, best of luck to you today with the appointment.

Guess I will see what the day brings.

36 and cloudy this AM.

Chief good luck on the Cath. thing, hope you get to come home but then you don't want blood clots either so do what they say. Only the Chief would buy a bike with the sidecar on the wrong side. We have been out for groceries this morning, hope we are done for awhile...S.J.

A good chat with some of the guys last night.

Chief, hope everything goes well with your procedure.  I talked to my own hospitalized friend yesterday and the news was not too good.  They said he had a heart attack.  Further investigation determined that he had 90% blockage in one artery and the others were compromised to a lesser extent.  He has decided to go ahead with open heart surgery which will take place on Friday.  He had a triple by pass 17 years ago so it's a real downer for him to have to go through this again.  I am going to see him today.  He said they tried to put a stint in the blocked passage but were unable to do that.

later,

Ray

Doctor appointment went well. As I figured it was just a rehash of the lab results from last time. He wants to see me again in two months. I have another appointment on the 7th of this month with the foot doc, again. Don't know right off what I'll do with the rest of the day. There was something called 'Kansas Pacific' being recorded on the DVR this morning. Figure I can watch that. Also got 'The Dirty Dozen' begging to be watched.

Kev will have much better luck with his than I've had with mine. Mine is non-recoverable. The best I can do is live with it.

Afternoon All.

Great news Chief ! When I had my heart issues it really surprised some of my former vendors, they always swore I never had one. Smile, Wink & Grin

Salvation Army just came by and picked up a bunch of stuff, including the munchkin's two Little Tykes yard structures that he has outgrown. The third one was to far gone to be safe so it will either go for recycling, if it can be, or the dump.

Everything packed and ready for the museum tomorrow. Saturday will be getting everything ready for the "Super Bowl Hen Party". Just to clarify, I know there are some puzzled looks right now, it is essentially a cancer survivor hen party that started several years ago.

Prayers for all in need. Angel

Looks like some rather nasty weather heading east, stay safe all.

You could take her to the Vernon Parish courthouse. It's a real zoo there so they tell me. You could get takeout and take it with you. That way you get dinner and a show.Laugh

Great news Chief.  The Lord be praised.   Went to see my friend in pre op today and spent about two hours with him.  Surgery is sceduled for 8:00AM tomorrow morning.  His spirits are good but he's not getting much rest with all the traffic from hospital personel in and out of his room.  He said they woke him up about every two hours last night for various things.  His room mate had heart surgery yesterday and he was up walking the hall today.  I guess they try to get you going right away.

Just another day in paradise today here in Sunny Southern Cal.  I guess our Winter must be over.  Condolences to you guys in the arctic states.

Thanks for the prayers for my friend,

Ray

Today I got a big box in the mail. Inside, packed wall to wall in two layers were twenty-seven freight cars. Tyco, Life-Like, Mantua, AHM, AHM/Roco, AHM/Mehano and maybe a couple of Athearn cars. Most have horn hooks, some have Fleischmann couplers and trucks with pizza cutters that could cut two pizzas one on top of the other. The flanges are HUGE! I've only had time so far to ID one car, a Tyco Red Box 50' New Haven boxcar in near mint condition. Before I could ID any more my parents insisted I show up for dinner. Wasn't a total loss. Steaks and rice in a heavy beef gravy, sliced carrots with jalapenos, green beans, french bread. Good stuff.

Hey, I have enough KO&G boxcars now to make a little fleet. I started with one, I now have eight!

I'll have a list of the cars up when I've ID'd them. Some are way too old for my general era.

Good evening everyone.  Had a long day to include an emergency case.  All went well and I finally got home.  Took family out for dinner as it is the first time in several days we got to eat together.  As we were walking in the door, got a great phone call from the Chief filling me in on his great news!  Must have good genes and he must be obeying the doctor's orders and taking his meds.  Glad the bypasses are clear.

Ray, yes, we try to have patients up the next day.  Also want them doing their breathing treatments to keep from getting CHF(congestive heart failure).  The sooner you complete ambulatory and full respiratory quotient, the sooner you can leave the hospital.  Good luck to your friend.

RT, if you are interested, you can get a blueray player for well under 100 dollars with WiFi.  Then, you can pick up a receiver for not too much money that you can plug the blueray player into so you can watch Netflix.

Well, I am exhausted.  Pray that each of you has a blessed night.

Dennis

Good news, Chief, glad your heart is okay!

Having a crappy week - wife's crown failed, weird stuff at work, other stuff, and just plain stuff.  Oh well, it will all even out in time.  Got some new train magazines in the mail, so that's cool.

Mike - please pick me up tonight, I'm ready for some Tardis fun and banilla!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Hello all

Just a quick slurp of coffee tonight. Visit to Phoenix w/ my friend was good. Met a guy w/ another Corvair panel van. Found a buyer for the MG. Found a place to live in Safford. May have found someone to take over the place here. Tomorrow I haul the MG to Phoenix to it's new home.

Glad to hear Chief is OK!

Joe D. - will be getting back to you on the 1664 soon.

Waiting for my roomate to show up so we can load the block and tranny. He works late to I think I'll crash 'til he gets home. Long day tomorrow.
