Good evening everyone. Had church both this morning and tonight. I was on camera and word has it that the other guy who handles the main floor camera is sick, so it looks like I will be on until further notice. After morning church, we went out for mexican. We had one of our friends and her kids with us, her husband is in the army and was supposed to return from South Carolina tonight. She took the kids all to her house and my bride and I had a few hours to watch a movie on Netflix.
While the Giants are my team from childhood, I really don't mind missing the game. We have satellite and no network TV, so even though I am home, no interest in watching it. I know I could have it streamed to the computer, but not worth it. I have to head in early tomorrow. While I don't have any cases, I do have some blood work I need to get done. Has to be fasting, so it is better to do it early.
Hope that everyone has a blessed week ahead.
God Bless,Dennis

Now, to Disney World!!!!
Good evening all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 40s. Ran the Alaska engine today with gons and flats. Long weekend. Too many things going wrong to list. I hope this week at work goes better than the last two. Best commercial of the evening was one of the last ones that featured an ABC Supply sticker on ad for NBC Sports. Pretty cool. One of the Doritos ads was kind of funny. The halftime show was booorrrrrringgg. Did get to watch Man U. tie Chelsea 3-3 after being down 3-0. Interesting game. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

I had a car like this 45' PS-1 covered hopper back in the 70's that I got from a friend of mine. I believe it to be an AHM/Roco model from the early 60's. AHM dropped it before 1970 due to inflation in Europe raising the price of the unit. Con-Cor announced that it had bought the original tooling from Lilliput of Vienna Austria and brought it back to mint condition. Sitting in a warehouse for nearly 20 years had taken a toll on it. One major improvement was made. It was modified to take body mounted horn hooks or Kadee #5's. My model doesn't have this modification and it's stamped AHM Austria so it has to be one of the early models. This one has had the Union Pacific name painted over and the L&A logo added.See y'all tomorrow.

Yes, all the drunk Yankees are not on here filling it full of bull "you know what". They are watching the game and passed out from too much food.
Turned chilly. Temps might get below freezing. Not sure. Guess that is because the Yanks have sucked all the warm air Nawth due to cheering and cooking their wings.
Sleep tight [Off to bed].
Back from the inlaws from the Superbowl party minus one important person, later on that. For those who didn't see it you missed a real close game.
Jack - You have to admit, both teams played well enough to win. That kept you on the edge of your seat the whole game.
Traindaddy1, Anjdevil2 - NICE!
Now it's time to enjoy the moment and relax.

Well I guess the best team won?
Have had a busy weekend so no time to catch up until now. Hope all are well. for those in need. Wife is dealing with some sudden very high blood pressure. Took her to Doc and the Doc is on it but strange how this just happened with no warning.
Hava a great day tomorrow all!
Regards, Roy
Konnichiwa,
Yesterday was busy as far as Sundays go so I never had a moment to post. I actually took today off to watch the Super Bowl and host some folks who are temporarily here in Japan. The game started at 0830 (Monday) here. We had a fun time and it was even better since the Pats lost. I suppose I will relax with the family the rest of the day.
Buckeye – I know the Packers were not in it this year, but that was still a good Super Bowl to watch, especially since the Pats lost.
Doug – That doesn’t surprise me about Rick Steves. His shows are very informative and I always read great reviews about him. I’m not a fan of organized tours, but his videos have been very useful.
Jack – It will be alright. There’s always next year. And you know you don’t even have to worry about the Dolphins again.
Sayonara,
Joe
Evening all,
I had quite the busy weekend. Instead of the Lehigh Line chase, my friend and I went out to Reading and also hit Wyomissing Jct., Sinking Spring and a few other locations. I picked him up around 630 and we made very good time to Reading. We saw a ton of trains, a very interesting light power move with a Reading and Northern SW8M in the mix which was just coming back from wheel work in Enola. I didn't get home from Reading until 11:30 at night and then went to a party after I picked up a couple bottles of rum and vodka from home. My friend had a decent sized party that night and I got there late so I had some catching up to do. We all fell asleep around 4:30-5:00 which is usual for whenever I'm hanging out with them. I went home that morning around 10 and was definitely feeling sleep deprived and a little hungover to say the least. I figured I did enough railfanning the day before, but I decided to go to Woodbourne for a little bit or so I thought. I ended up being there from noon until 8pm and then went home, only to go back out again. I met up with 2 friends at our usual spot but I was so tired that I had 1 beer and left. This morning I woke up early and a few friends of mine met up at my house and I drove us all to Cabela's. My buddy Ryan has been looking at the Springfield XDM 3.8 for a while and he happened to get a $75 off coupon for firearms, plus a few gift cards and rewards points. He ended up with a really nice deal on the gun, some rounds and a few other miscellaneous items. I was looking at the Springfield XD9 compacts (Ryan has one of them too) and I really like them a lot. I bought a hoodie, Mark and Brock bought a few t-shirts and hats and Ryan had the best haul of the day.
I am still extremely tired but I'm getting up early again tomorrow to go paint the interior of a house for another friend's company! When there's money involved, I think I can take the sleep deprivation hit! I guess I just gotta go to bed earlier tomorrow! This Thursday I leave for the mountains for the weekend, the following weekend I'm going back to Reading for the train show and the weekend after that I'm headed to Altoona for the weekend to railfan the Curve, Cresson, Gallitzin, Lilly and Johnstown. I guess you can say February is quite the busy month for me!
Anyways, I better get some sleep, even if it is a little. I don't wanna mess the paint job up tomorrow!
Morning guys, Hope your all in good shape after the game. I better get some breakfast because after that it is off to the dentist for the beginning of the crown work on the broken tooth, Prayers for you wife Roy. Later, Kev,

Later,
Kev,
Hi GUYZ,
Well as ROY said I guess the best team won? Oh well at least all the food down WAYNES was good. Came home after halftime and watched the remainder of game. I am off today because I have been sopeanaed to court for a fight I witessed at school. State police are pressing charges on two of our kids. Stupid boys. Oh well, when will they learn? Got workout in and dog walked now time for shower.
Stay frosty,

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a cold and frosty 28 degrees. Going up to 46 with sunshine.
Today is a busy day. I have a few chores to do and a project to work on. I'll be busy for awhile. Not much else new here.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Monday.
Chuck
Mornin' boys. Mornin' Giants fans. Good game. Proper outcome (for this season I s'pose...). I was only upset that #12 was not left bleeding on the field. Oldest boy took me and Fifepup to Hooters for lunch. Spent morning working on layout, and daydreaming about next addition. I have today off as well, so I might as well get back to the train room.
tmcc man - I've been wanting to railfan the R&N for sometime, but had heard things weren't to photographer friendly. I want a report from Horseshoe Curve when you get back. In particular, has NS topped the trees surrounding the main. Also, there is a family-style restaurant next to the rails in Cresson. Good food, but can't remember the name. Good to see you getting trackside.
Konbanwa,
The rest of today went well. I was even able to have a nap this afternoon. I took the visiting folks out for dinner and now I am ready for bed. The next two days will be busy at work as we will be having an inspection.
Colin - That is quite the busy schedule you are keeping; enjoy it while you can. Do you ever railfan up near Shenandoah? Of course, I don't think there is much activity up that way nowadays.
Roy - I hope all is well with your wife. I'll add her to my prayer list.
Laz - That must have been one heck of a fight. Growing up, I've never seen charges filed against two witting combatants; at most they were suspended.
Morning. Frosted for one of the few morning this winter. ??????
Roy, prayers for wife.
Kev, good luck with the tooth. May it not take too long. [boreing as well].
Giants winning seems to be like the football team of the New York Yankees. So that is good.
Friend Fred has one of his headaches and is staying home. Lucky, I do not have headaches. Since I can not lift for sevearl days, no work on the Box. Did some plunger [plumber's friend] on kitchen sink yesterday and hurt rest of the day. Funny, did not think that would cause problems.
County Commissioners this afternoon and Town Board tonight.
Hope all have a great week.
PS: all you workers get with it. My SS check is due Wed. and I want it on time.
32 with bright sun melting the frost.
Good game, I had no favorites in this one but did think the NYG could win it..This one coulda gone either way. ...S.J.

Aloha . Grey and 30s. Not bad. Enjoyed time with my brother's family - the dolls for my nieces were a bit hit. Glimpsed part of the game - and got home in time to see the end. Hope i don't scare too many folks today with my bright red eye. The garage door opener chain broke just as I left this morning. But at least it is jammed open. Typical Monday event. Mike C, I watched some of the Man U game - as well as the 6 Nations Rugby (Eng - Scot) game on Sat. Roy, prayers for your wife - that this BP is nothing serious. Kev, prayers for the crown repair.

Good Mornin' Y'all From New England "in" Mourning,
Roy.......... prayers for your wifey's BP spike. I hope it is nothing serious and that the Docs get a handle on it in short order..
KEV.........best of luck at the dentist today.
SJ........you are right, it was a great game except for the outcome.
Chief.........replace the blocked pipes. Even muriatic acid won't work. The best it will do is lighten the color of the cement-like grits that are clogging the pipe. This scientifically proven fact is according to Dr. Harry Coover, the crazy glue inventor from Kodak laboratories.
Colin.........can't wait to hear how that interior house painting works out today under sleep deprivation conditions.
DougM.......glad your eye procedure came off without a hitch. Bet a lot of NE fans have bleary red eyes this AM. Your condition would go unnoticed out here this morning. I usually have problems with breaking springs on my auto garage doors. Never had a chain let go, though.
Fife........thanks for the encouraging words re the outcome of yesterday's Super Bowl. Now I don't feel so bad. Your words will sustain me in this dark hour.
The final assessment of the SB gathering of family and friends at my place yesterday came back with mixed reviews. And to my amazement, the sun still rose in the East this morning, right on schedule.
On the plus side, the wifey's new range worked without incident, no malfunctions or fires there. Wife was also very happy with the "Marine Corp spit shine" I put on the house. The food my daughter prepared was simple but stellar, highlighted by her homemade chili, guacamole dip, a zillion hors doeuvres, and a pastries (plus a cake) for dessert.
Everyone enjoyed the fire in the fireplace, where fires should be and people can enjoy it while watching the game......unless they become despondent and jump into it due to events occuring on the TV.
The grandkiddies ran around like wild animals and enjoyed the trains running on the living room floor, while my son and my daughter/SIL got to see their USN train engine and cars (Grampy presents) showcased. The little ones also appreciated the fact that Grammy left dishes filled with M&Ms and Hershey's kisses close by and unattended, away from the direct line of vision of the erstwhile distracted adults. At least the kiddies had the presence of mind to hide the H-kisses wrappers under the sofa. One of the great things about grandparenthood is that the caffeine-fueled grandkids go home with their parents.
The fact that normally very busy highway 300 yards from my house was bereft of cars at 7PM was also amusing. Then it was like rush hour shortly after the game's finish. But the game itself was was an underwhelming success with the guests.
I should have taken pictures of the facial expressions of the guests throughout the game......good mix between anger, disgust, anxiety, desperation, and depression. If it wasn't for the kiddies present, the carefully withheld adult expletives would have made any halftime rapper blush. Lucky the kiddies can't read lips.
Hats off to the Giants, they deserved the win (gasp, grimmace, choke, ). The fact that the Patriots' defense held them to 21 points and they still didn't win is the tale of the story. Playing the injured TE Gronkowski nearly the entire game was a huge mistake, like playing one man short on offense. Ya gotta admit, this was one exciting game, right down to the last play.
The better team won. (gasp, grimmace, choke,
Later, gang.
Good Morning CTTFans!
It's 16F with a hint of sunshine here at Mile High. So, who won the game yesterday, I'm thinking Betty White of the dog that fetched the beers, the Viper Party was also good. Our latest snow storm broke a 100+ year old record and my back believes it...

Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the high 40s. People and stuff are leaving Indy today. Quiet day at work, which is a good thing. I hope everyone has a good day.
Well that sucked!
At leaste I have a whole tooth again.
Next visit is the tooth prep and impressions. Then the crown install and last is a check up.
Good morning. It's 48° and partly cloudy. The high will be 60° with increasing cloudiness.Laundry day. No time for modeling now. I may have some time in the late afternoon.
Good morning all, Watched the first half of the super bowl and fell asleep. Lost interest but came back for the final minutes of the game and was confused by that N.Y. Guy trying not to make a touchdown. Didn't realize they were trying to burn up the clock at that point. Looked like a pretty close game. Cooked some chicken *** in the microwave last night that didn't go down good. OK this morning but felt a little uneasy last night. Probably didn't cook it enough. Checked it with a thermometer though and it was over 180. Hard to get an accurate reading on small pieces of meat .
Roy, prayers for your wife to get BP back on track.
Still unable to access ogr forum after three days. Got hold of webmaster this morning and he determined that the problem was being caused by the route my internet is taking to get to them. He thought it would only be a temporary thing.
My friend with the heart surgery is still in the hospital and doing OK at last report. Will try to see him sometime this week.
later,

Mornin' All.
Quite a day yesterday, pretty good game but some of the commercials weren't as good as years past. The food was the hi-point, my Maple Wings brought rave reviews but I must have over-indulged with the salty items yesterday. Oh well, back to sodium watch today.
Kev, Good luck on the crown construction, my last one seemed like it required multiple 90# bags of mortar.
Roy, Prayers for the "Better Half", hopefully it is something transitory and not a long term situation.
Chief, Careful of that incision, wouldn't want to create another issue.
Gotta get moving, later all !

Morning all. Have to admit I was happy with the outcome of the game, and to some level, I would like to have seen it. Oh well. After hearing the issues with the half time show and some of the commercials, glad I didn't have the kids watching it.
Waiting on insurance adjuster. They seemed to have lost my file, or just forgot about me. Oh well. In the mean time, been watching "Killing Hitler" on the bomb plot to take him out.
Roy, amazing the number of things that can cause such spikes in BP. I hope they are able to diagnose and treat in a short time. They can be scary. I had that happen and had bad headache. My BP went to 280/130. Has been good since, but it was painful.
Take care,Dennis
