Lunch Time,

I just talked to a meter reader who just read our meter, (yes we charge ourselves). He thinks that they are walking.

SPMan, Ray, Prayers for your friend's wife. Horrible ordeal that she is going through. I wish her the best and the same for you with your knee. Your neighbor seems like a nice guy and he appreciates your patience with him.

My son graduates High School next month and he is to receive an Academic Award tonight. My wife is hoping for something in the Sciences or Math. I figure Wood Shop, he has the thumb to prove it. Too bad they do not tell you what it is for ahead of time.

Have a Great Day,

John

Afternoon all.  Been in a meeting since 8:30 AM.  Partly cloudy.  Just explored and found on my own how to make Windows 7 and Explorer 9 work for CTT.  If you need to know, email me.  Now to Niece's RN graduation.  Later.

Glad I'm back to my normal self. Was concerned someone would open that box, dump me out and try to drown me in milk. Ick!

Hudson John, Congrats on the youngun.

Ray, Prayers for your friends wife. No matter how bad my shoulders get surgery is out of the question. Last time I had physical therapy there were far to many patients having a very rough time with their seemingly never ending surgical PT. Grumpy

One of my loco's was a casualty of last friday's run. A mid to late 90's PS-1 steamer died and I have had no luck with it, all boxed and ready to ship to Mizells for analysis and repair estimate. Not going to put a lot into it, ain't worth a whole lot of expense.

Off to UPS, catch ya later.

Chuck........glad to hear that you had a wonderful birthday yesterday, capped off by the Tribe's victory.  Rumor has it that General Mills stock rose yesterday based on unanticipated, above-forecast sales.  Wink

RaySP........hope your knee MRI results are useful in figuring out what is up with it.

HudsonJohn........congratulations on your son's academic award!  Takes after his Mom, I see.  Whistling Thumbs Up

Chief.......congratulations on your niece's RN!  Thumbs Up  Hope you are not the commencement speaker, or it is going to be a long night for the graduating class.  Whistling

DougM.......send some of that ChiTown heat my way.  It's only 60 here right now.

I hope it dries out enough here by tomorrow and the returning rains hold off long enough to attack the lawn.  The pelletized lime and fertilizer I applied, coupled with the rains, have really gotten my lawn rolling now.  And the one pass with the Ortho Weed B-Gone nailed every weed in sight as well.  This particular Ortho WBG version has a crabgrass control chemical in it as well, but I have never used it before and don't know how effective it will be.  Chemical warfare. Thumbs Up

Later, gang.

Good afternoon everyone.  Came home early to watch a movie with my bride before going to pick up kids.  It was a nice break.  Ray, sorry to hear about your friend's wife with her infection.  Hope they are going to get ahead of things and she will be on the mend soon.  John, hope things work out with the Union thing.  Always hard to deal with as the union heads may not agree with each other, never mind dealing with the company.  Hope they are able to settle things peacefully.

Getting ready for dinner.  Hope it is a good one for each of you.

Good afternoon all, thank you for the prayers for my friend's wife.  I will add my own and hope she feels better soon.

Well, I got the results on the MRI today.  The doctor confirmed that I have a torn cartilage in my left knee.  He wants to fix it surgically.  The only problem is that he is going on vacation in about a week so if I want it done he has to operate this coming Monday.  Otherwise he says it would be after June 21st before he would be available again.  I know it needs to be fixed and it is not getting any better.  I have to let him know by tomorrow to make the arrangements.  I hate to rush into these things but it looks like my summer is going to be impacted no matter what I do, not to mention all the chores I need to do around the house and pool during recovery.  Fortunately, I have a grown son who lives with us who can take up a lot of the slack.  I suppose I won't be able to duck under my layout for quite a while.  I'll just have to wait and see how it goes.  Don Baker and I taked about doing some work on the layout to make it easier to get in and out of but it looks that will have to be on hold for a while.  I also promised another guy to help at his layout open house next week but that's a no go also.  Thanks for letting me bend your ear.

             Happy B-Day

Ray,

            Angel

The control box for the 314AW arrived today.  It is much nicer than the one I had briefly last November, and was worth the six month hunt and $62.97.  No rust on this one and the stamping is good.  I hope the parts I ordered from Jeff get here tomorrow so that the 624 project will be done.  I am also going to see about getting another toy tomorrow.Big Smile

RT - Love that FB post!

Ray - prayers for your friend!

John - big congrats to your son!

No rain today, but hit the 90's!  EEK!  I did not mow the lawn, as it is supposed to get cooler on the weekend.  Oh well, it will just be all the more fun to cut the jungle then, after it has had time to grow another foot taller!  TARDIS is ready and had a nice chat with SJ and Charlie tonight.  Missed RT - got spoiled with him off every night for a week :)

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Been busy time at work with 14 hr days for the past 2 weeks so it's been tireing to say the least.

2:00am and just got home from da Bronx and it was a first for us. An extra inning lose. Ugly game in which we went like getting only 2 hits with runners in scoring position, very frustrating.

Well gotta get some rest as 6:30 is soon here!

Good night

Good early morning gang.  Heading in in a few moments.  Prayers said, The Book read, and ready for the day ahead.  Ray, hope they are able to get you taken care of and back into top shape in the very near future.  If you do decide, you should call early so they can make arrangements for you to have your blood work done.  Many places require it prior to going in for the actual surgery.

Hope to catch up with everyone late.  Have a blessed day.

Good Morning,

Beautiful day in NJ. The meter readers union and the compamy reached an agreement last night and the union members are set to vote on it .

My wife and I went to my son's award reception and presentation. The awards Renasance Awards, were if a teacher has an exceptional or a student makes a difference in the teacher's life or other students lives they may be nominated. I was right, my son's Wood Shop teacher nominated him. It was very impressive.

I really liked the Bin Laden commentaries. Thanks guys.

SPMan, Ray, Good luck with the knee. Speedy recovery.

AF53, Ray, 6:30 comes early, I am already at work.

Thoughts and prayers for all in need.

Have a Great Day,

John

BUCKEYE,

About the flooding and people losing their furiture.  Maybe they want to redo there interior designs and get new furniture every 5 years.  Just think what would happen if they didn't have dirt floors?
