New month and corrected number of years.  Seems Lucy [Shake and Bake] forgot that April 1 is always the anniversary date of the Pot.

Busy day for me.  Gardened and then had Child Abuse Prevention thing and candle light ceremonial.  Cold about to get me down.  Watched some of Gods and Generals and got mad all over again.  Took cold meds and reclinerized.  Do now have water in kitchen [new granite counter tops look great] and bathroom.  Still have to go upstairs to pee and shower. Confused  Gun show tomorrow.

Sleep tight.

BTW: IE9 has compatibility problems with CTT software.  On the "banner line" where it reads www.cs.trains.com, look to the right.  You will see a symbol looking like a torn page, click on it until it turns blue.  Then post.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cloudy 46 degrees. Going up to 60 today with rain. It had a thundershower last night.

Today is an easy day. I have a few chores to do and then I will spend some time in the train room. I need to run trains. Also dust them.

Indians won again.  18 & 8.

Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Sunday.

Good morning, 56 and sunny going to 65.

Picked up my engines from The Train Room in Point Pleasant, NJ yesterday. Did not have a chance to test run them yet. Definitely later today.

Time for some yardwork.

Hi GUYZ,

Got home yesterday from the 140th NRA Convention out in PITTSBURGH,  WOW what a great show!!!!  Spent friday and saturday at the convention center hold guns fro a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars.  No lie, you can pick up any gun from all the major and minor manufactures and try them out.  Firing pins were all removed and all for safety.  Nice time about 70,000 people were to show up this past weekend.  Lots of celebrities from the shooting world were there along with DONALD RUMSFELD, TED NUGENT, BROCK LESNER, members of the OLYMPIC BIATHOLON TEAM, GUNNY EMBRELD, the GUYZ from ALASKA GOL RUSH series on discovery channel,  just a whole bunch there to be on hand to talk to.  Pretty cool stuff, if you are into hunting or shooting and ever get a chance to go, by all means check it out.  If you are a NRA member it free.  NO COST!  Just show up and walk the 4.5 acres to see lots o stuff.

Slept well last nite now to get grass cut before it rains again.

CHUCK, YEAH for THE TRIBE,  I still follow them but not like I use to.  Free agents and owners, and commissioner, is killing baseball, and my interest.

Stay frosty,

Morning all.  Wifey and I over slept this AM.  Probably go to gun show [free pass from David, Hunters Haven and my contractor].  Got one of Pam's former co-worker's Dad's visitation later this afternoon.

Busy wek ahead.  County Commissioners and Town Board tomorrow.  Probably run to lake house Tuesday and mow and come right back if not raining.  Wednesday is League of Municipalities Town Hall Day with General Assembly [all day thing], Thursday to Mayor's Prayer Breakfast in Rolesville and then 40 before 40 Award Luncheon where I nominated our Town Atty [she won].

Have a great week and month.

Well got up real late for me almost 11 a.m. well I help wife first get some gardening done then went in and made chocolate chocolate chip muffins and then biscuits eggs and bacon. None of that 4 letter word that rhymes with well I can't say that here. anyway that stuff we Yankees use to glue items together and use as a base for road bed.

Anyway now its time to get back to work and see if I can get some more shelfing up for my layout around the ceiling.

Too busy boys.  Cut Grass.  Changed oil.  Laundry.  Did get down to yatchet yesterday afternoon.  Fifepup and I put the sails on the spars, and installed new hardware in cockpit.  Looks sharp with all its Pacific Blue trim.  Had to cover fishpond, as a blue heron has discovered easy pickings...Surprise

Dennis - When it comes to our health we always consult with a doctor. Our problem in the past 40 years, all conventional doctors, including internists, didn't test and explore the whole body, just teste for  your complaints. Things turned around when we found a "functional" MD.

The internist I had did come close to the "functional" doctor.

Fife - are blue herons protected?

LOL, I had a small pond filled with gold fish in the back yard when I lived in Seattle. Only problem was my Black Lab decided he liked the taste of the gold fish.

Afternoon All.

Veg out day, two long days at the museum and I am pooped. Regular run on friday and "Kid's Club" program on saturday. Dead Kicked back w/coffee and watching Padres/Dodger and Cubs/D'back games.

Still hard to comprehend the amount of damage done by the tornadoes. Now they are trying to figure out who to damge more with floods, farmers im Mo or residents of Cairo, Il.

Good evening all,

It is back to rain in SE Indiana.  Brazil Indy was a freaking wet disaster.  Both Vitor and Swiss Miss are out of contention already.  Spent more time at house today.  Wife and I went to see "Water for Elephants".  Wonderful train scenes and a good ending.  I had cinnamon rolls on the dining car.  TBIL and I can drive.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

(compatibility mode engage!)

Right, well I got up this morning expecting all day storms.  The sun was out!!!  After getting something to eat and letting it settle, I spent a couple hours mowing the lawn down to the trees and then put down some mole repellent stuff around the house and along the tops of the front and back hills.  Took a shower and later we had just a little rain, so that will set that mole stuff I hope.  I have more in liquid form to use with the hose, but wanted to put the granules down in certain areas.  I still need to fertilize, but with all these storms I thought it would just all run off.  If we have a couple days of good weather, I'll do it after work tomorrow night.

No trains today, but did admire the DC, which I have set up on my desk so I can look at it all the time.  Really has a lot of great details Smile

Chatting with RT about good stuff!

TARDIS is ready, so let's hit it!

Good evening guys.  Church was great for both services.....except my back was hurting as I was on Camera 1.  Eventually, my left leg went numb as we stand the whole time.  I'm in badddd shape!  I really need to get back to the gym.

Laz, I have not been to a good gun show in years.  Most are selling old junk, or over priced items they can't sell in their stores.  Contemplating going for my class 3 license and getting some more interesting items in my safes.

Chief, sounds like you guys have been busy up there.  We have been dodging tornadoes and storms and have been lucky so far.  Several folks from our church are on the Georgia Baptist Disaster team.  They are up in Birmingham now, having already worked in Ringold, GA.

I read a great sticker on a rear window of a SUV after church: Some heroes wear capes, mine wear combat boots.  Was a classic statement that helps start a good conversation with the kids.  They can watch TV stars and sports stars, but we need to look to the folks putting their lives on the line so that we can have our freedoms.

Pray that each of you have a blessed week ahead.
Dennis

Good Evening

It did make 71 today. The boat is out front now but I need a new battery, kept it charged during the winter but its 8 years old and just barely lifted the motor. Brutus offered to buy it for a hundred but backed out when I told him shipping and handling would be six thousand. I'd also have to add a gas surcharge. Get ready for Monday or the Tardis whichever comes first..Banilla for all..S.J.

Happy Mayday!  It actually looks like spring and BBQ season is here Thumbs Up

Lots of good thoughts about food and exercise this week but here's my take, never trust a skinny cook!  It's also why I go to the Y 4-5 days a week to pay for my transgressions.  In my storage bldg. I have 160# of wood charcoal ready for the smoker, hope that lasts to July 4 ......... bring on the BBQ, every ones welcome, bring your own cholesterol pills -- I don't share Dinner

Cool, cloudy day today.  Maybe made it into the 60's, with rain drizzle at mid-day.  Didn't have to water the new veggies today.

Stripped paint and primed the trim on a doorway.  That took most of the afternoon.

Real quiet day today.

Good Sunday Evening, Guys!

I was just about to type in when a friend texted me that Bin Laden has been killed by our military!  Revenge for our murdered brother and sister firefighters and countrymen.  We can only hope now that "the head of the snake" has been chopped off the body will die and quickly.....

Just got done with the fire house banquet hall set up for a function tomorrow.  It was such a nice day, the Daddy Wagon and I burned some $3.79/gallon regular and took a trip through the Pine Lands of New Jersey.  Windows down at Mach 7 with Def Leppard crankin' on the CD player.  I had a good time at least...Smile, Wink & Grin

Just paying some bills now then off to la la land.  Have to make $$ money for our retired buddies.

Good news before bed...love that!!!

More tomorrow...!

Hello all

Long weekend here @ the 'scope operating and trying to solve this crane issue. Believe we have come up w/ a plan, informed all the bosses, and now we just have to do the easy part, do the work. Oh yeah, I do have to be on a conference call about it at 8AM, when I got up yesterday @ 3PM. Sleep is overrated.

Phish - great news on your house and camper!

They are serving grits @ McDonald's? But, the new Kato Unitrack already has ballast built in...Mischief

On the train front, I resubscribed to Trains and decided to try Model Railroader for fun.

Hope everyone has a good week

Morning to All

Busy, busy weekend. Richmond for the NASCAR race on Saturday.  Gordon really took it on the chin. Had a top 3 car all night and then got wrecked in a pack of slower cars. Sunday we drove back and stopped in DC where we met my son for a Nationals game. Very enjoyable, my son bought some great seats for us.  Of course then we fed him and kept him hydrated which at $8.50 per beer probably cost us more than the tickets. Still had a great time.  Weather was a little iffy with light sprinkles off and on.

Well I better get going.

Take care,

Mitch
