Hmmmmm,,,,,It seems very strange, that certain people ( Pat & Chief), who eat grits and live in Suthern swamps, would call decent, loving, very intelligent, NORMAL people, such us Northerners, things like "not normal". If it wasn't for us deporting your ancestors from the Northern prisons, to  the Suthern swamps, you would have no place to live at all. You should be thankful to us.

Just got off the phone with SJ in the hospital. Thanks to Brutus for the number. He said to say hi and to tell you that they're still running tests - he still doesn't feel well.

Guys, I visited with SJ at the hospital tonight.  I thought he looked pretty good.  No definitive news on the  cause has been delivered yet.

His spirits were lifted by all of you!  This is a great bunch.

Good one Fife!  I talked to Lady James and got the scoop on SJ, then called and talked to him at the hospital.  He sounded good on the phone and was cracking jokes just like normal.  He's looking forward to getting out of the hospital and hopeful they will find out what happened.  Lady J and I looked all over last night for the key to the banilla locker, but no luck.  He might have it secreted on his body somewhere?  We'll have to ask his bath-nurse Smile

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 50s.  Good news so far about SJ.  Not so good practice sessions from Alabama for AJ Foyt racing at the Open Test for Indycar.  Slightly off the pace.  Much better day at work Tuesday.  Lucas has one job for the summer and is looking for second one.  Will be working for same people as my dad did.  Somehow that is appropriate.  Watched Glee and V.  I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on to "Points East".  TBIL any time and I can drive.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Good Morning from Soggy Jersey,

Raining, 40 and not getting much warmer.

Met with the financial planner last night. He said that I look good to retire when I want to. We meet in 2 weeks in 2 weeks with a plan.

SJ, Get well soon. I had an extra helping of banilla last night.

AF53, Ray, we better keep an eye on Cathy Jean. She may be a spy for the Chief and Pat. Remember, her family claims to be direct descendants of Robert E. Lee. They were probably banished to the Jersey Pine Barrens.

Time for the Safety Huddle,

John

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It's a cloudy 46 degrees. Going up to 54 today with a chance of rain. We need sunshine.

Today is an easy day. I have the usual chores to do and a small project to work on. I will relax the rest of the day. Maybe run trains.

Dining car is here and has Cheerios for breakfast. Then, it  is off to all "Points West".

SJ.... Prayers out for your speedy recovery.

Y'all have a great Wednesday.

Good Mornin' Ya'll From Chilly and Rainy Taxachussetts,

Thanks guys for the updates about SJ.  Too bad he doesn't have a laptop during his incarceration.  He must be bored out of his Johnny unless they are letting him wear his Spyderman PJs.

Amusing story for the day.  Last night the wife for some reason got the bright idea that it would be good if I were to take a snow shovel and spread out the remaining two fast-receding snow mounds which are now down under 1.5' x 8'.  Bang Head  I think it would be better to let a higher power take care of them.  Thumbs Up

Rain forecast for the next couple of days, plus we might hit mid 50s.  I'll take it!  Here in the Northeast the gound is saturated plus the rivers and streams are still way too high.  It won't take something much out of the ordinary for this time of year to create flooding havoc.

Later, gang.

Good morning all,

I had no time to past yesterday as I entertained my boss all day and night.  He was in town from TX.  He is a good guy and a good leader so it was a pleasant day.  However, I ate out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner which about did me in.  My wife is a great cook and eating out that much is not enjoyable.  It is going to hit 75 today and it is sunny.

Charlie, Doug, and Brutus - Thanks for updates on SJ.

Doug - I'm not sure what you meant by the Lionel Kindle question?  Was that meant for someone else?

Good day,

Joe

I stopped wondering how or why women come up with these ideas... When TheQ makes these 'suggestions' I simply look at her and say 'And YOU have a PhD? Here's your sign.'

Put a little more spackle on the curved bridge last night... need to test fit it again to see if I need to add more filler under a couple support columns. Finding new interesting uses for wax paper. It does an excellent job keeping spackle from adhering to ceiling tiles! Thumbs Up

Doug, didn't know you were an old rail.  Yes, the engineers place on a yard job was the best place to be in bad weather.   The thread I saw about the ditch lights was under a heading about the NS executive F units from WBB on the OGR forum.  I will look again and see if I can get the name of the company that makes the flashing lights if you would like to know.

SJ, hope you are feeling better by now.  Somehow, I missed it when you went to the hospital.  Take care of yourself.

Chuck, I was thinking I would just be reading your normal Cherrios for breakfast message today when I ran into this.  Wow!, that's pretty brutal on the Chief and Pat.  I'll have to reread what their comments were to spark such a reply from you.

Update on SJ.  I just got off the phone with him.  They were going to send him home today, but instead have decided to keep him overnight again and run an EEG today.

He sounded good on the phone.

Roy, I've heard some interesting stories about your latest trip to Vegas...

Doug - that was some other Roy...Cool...Whistling

Prayers for SJ and thanks to all for the updates! Angel

Not feeling well myself still and yesterday was not the greatest.

Cloudy here - mybe 70 today. Predicting close to 90 for weekend - ugh - too soon for that.

Re XP and Win7. I do not know why but the Win7 machines here are struggling with Internet Explorer. One machine now only works with IE 64 bit even though it worked for months with IE. Ran all the updates, etc., sort of fixed one and then it started fouling up again. There is some incompatibility that has occured due to some update in either Win7 or IE.

Have a great day all!

Regards, Roy

Evenin' boys.  Evenin' English. Clearing and 54 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Shot perfect score at the range today, however it was the close combat course, and the muddy hillside made us all look like muddy dalmations.
