LAZ..... I, too, totally agree with you. Why anyone would want to protest at a funeral, is beyond me. Someone from the family or friends is going to take them on.

Good morning

39 and sun.

Laz I'm with you. They had planned to come here for a protest and so many people were ready to rally against them, they did not show. Why they would protest at the funeral of 7 precious children makes no sense at all. I have reached pg. 76 of Dec.'s CTT all later issues and OGR are still on the pile, newest on the bottom. Egg and bologna sandwich for breakfast. Playing choo-choos tonite with Charlie and friends...S.J.

Hi GUYZ,

Thanks for the support on this issue, I just wanted to let YUZ GUYZ know what's going on with this group and try and figure out why they want all this attention.  I'm all for freespeech but there is a line and time for everything and this isn't one of the times.  Decent moral people don't act this way.

Sorry again for the rant.

Aloha. Grey and cold here  - looks like 60s mid-week though!  Tracked down some friends in northern Japan. Congrats to the Princess, FifeLaz, it's all about the publicity. It's not a church, just a dysfunctional extended family.  Wisconsin chicken: Yum!

Laz,

Ditto, YesYesYesYesYes

Overcast and gray this morning, hopefully we'll get some sun later. Still pooped from yesterday's museum time, must be all the pia traffic coming and going.

Still have a hard time graspping what we are seeing from Japan. Created a small problem down on the bay when the surge broke a barge loose and tore up the dock. Which brings up another point, all morning long on the TV and radio people are being told "stay away from the water". Yet two lifegaurds put their lives at risk because some stupid lady decides she would like some pictures from the Oceaside Jetty. Needless to say she and her 3 children get washed off the jetty and are heading out to sea except for one and then a second lifegaurd.

Hey Lady, here's your sign !

Good afternoon fellas and gals:          Laz is totally correct and I support him 100%.   However SCOTUS   is also correct.  We cannot diminish our right to free speech. The next thing you know, we couldn't rant on the coffee pot!  Let them have their say.  If I was to strike back when some one did me an injustice, I wouldn't be any better than they are. There no halo on my head, however, I would like to be judged by my conduct and my character; because in the final reckoning, that's all we have anyway.    Read my saying on the bottom of this post and you'll get the idea.  later   Ken.

49 at exit 77 this afternoon with 50 or better this week.

Nice and lazy day here today, just spending it with number one daughter who comes over on most Saturdays, it's a good day when the kids come over. Son just came home from work. He works at a car dealership and said thier shop got rated number one on the eastern seaboard. Apparentley, on the report, only one person was mentioned by name by a secret shopper. You guessed it, my son! He works hard and tries going the extra mile and it shows. The owner even showed up, which never happens,  to congratulate him. My son was really surprised as he never met him before. Everyone was impressed. On a side note, and Laz you can appreciate this, number one daughter on Wednesday had her final review by the principle/administrator at school and was told "you rocked it" and gave her a high five as she left her classroom. She's ending her second year as a teacher and doing well. Needles to say I'm a proud dad as all three of my trophies are shinning! Now to get through on Tuesday with Sable.

Laz - I can't imagine anyone who's not thinking the way you are about this. But there are fanatics out there and we have to keep a close eye on them always.

Dougdagrump - Wow! Very touching.

Off to play our weekly Saturday night game of poker at the in-laws,

Had an unexpected free afternoon - with everyone out of the house and me left with a car. So cruised Hobby Lobby. Not much train stuff left - they had Atlas O Southern sets for $145-155! Brought me bride some early birthday gifts at the Irish Store, then picked up lawn fertilizer at the hardware store. Got home in time to run trains before everyone came home. A perfect day! Good evening all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 60s.  Work was good on Friday.  Saturday was a busy day.  Spent the morning taking care of estate business.  Checking account is open, taxes are being taken care of,  bills are paid, did some retail therapy (got a LEGO set I was wanting), and took wife, Lucas and his GF to see "Rango" tonight.  Met with realtor today as well, and while I was shopping, bought some GS cookies (of course, I had to ask if they were made from real GS (line from Addams Family movie)).  Indycar reconsidering "lucky dog" rule.  Smart move.  Now have to do something about the start.  Have really enjoyed some of the posts here recently.  Some very profound and passionate thoughts have been expressed.  I know Kalmbach has to walk a fine line as far as comments are concerned, but the 'pot is rather unique among all the threads here.  Maybe they give us a little more slack with this one.  I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on to "Points East".  TBIL anytime.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Good evening all,

We had a very nice and warm Saturday.  I pulled some weeds during the day and then sprayed the lawn and flower beds with some stuff that is supposed to keep the weeds away.  I hope it works because my back is killing me now.  I completed my usual Saturday chores and finished a trackside shed building for the layout.  Well, it's not completely finished since I want to paint it.

I ran trains last night and today with the baby.  The weather was nice so we had the garage door open the entire time.  He is eight months old now so I taught how to hit the button to activate the switch tower - he can't get enough of it.  After dinner I played some Star Wars Monopoly with the two older kids.  The game is paused until tomorrow after church.

Laz - I agree with you.  As a military member I have never been happy with this group.  One day they will regret their shenanigans - either in this life or the next.  Doug is right about them being a dysfunctional family and not a church.  Traindood is right as well about the SCOTUS decision, and once again as a military member I will defend their decision.

Fife - Isn't it funny how true public servants such as policemen, firemen, and the military have to keep their mouths shut about political stuff, but the so-called public servants (politicians) can say and make any crazy laws they want.

It's time to see if any of the fellas are chatting.

Good night,

Joe

Steveo - I have not seen anything about the Tulsa train show.  There is the show on 2 Apr in Bixby and then one here in Enid on 9 Apr.  Bixby is close to Tulsa and after speaking with the folks at Whistle Stop Trains in OKC, I believe that is the same show that was held in Tulsa last year.  It is probably cheaper to have it in Bixby versus Tulsa.  I will attend both as I enjoyed both of them last year.  When I hear about other OK train shows I'll post the information on the forum.  Let me know if you plan to attend.

Regards,

Joe

Nice and sunny today in Saint Louis.  Temps got into the 50s.  My 2nd book arrived and it looks great, lots of pics of narrow gauge railroads all over the world.  Got cleaned up and dressed to go shopping for a couple new shirts and stuff, but sat down to watch a few minutes of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation on cable - the part where Chevy takes a sled ride.  Next thing I knew, I woke up and Eddy was delivering the boss all trussed up with a big bow on him.  Reclinerized!  Oh well, wife picked up some dinner and played some games.  We were supposed to go out with some friends tonight, but they blew us off (again).  He's been laid off a lot lately (HVAC worker), so we don't question it.  Tardis is ready, so let's hit it!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Brutus,

My favorite part of Christmas Vacation is when Clark goes into the attic.  From the stairs to the boards, it is great.

Finally had a nice day here, so I took the PGT out and put $30 of 93 in it.  Ran well.  I found the rivet gun quickly this morning (go figure) so the roar swap is just about done.  Spent the afternoon formatting our old HP desktop from 01 and starting fresh with XP Professional.  I need to figure out why it doesn't get internet access although it is connected to the network.

Good Morning

34/40 cloudy today

I had a great time with Charlie and 5 other train nuts yesterday evening. Our host has a dogbone type layout with 2 large ovals, for awhile we had 3 remote control trains running on the same loop. NO pileups. Close but didn't happen.  lol, I didn't feel good yesterday or this morning but glad I went. Have a pleasant Sunday...S.J.
