I want to thank everyone for their kind words for Sable, for those who don't have pets you might not understand what pet owners go through when this happens, makes you wonder why we seem to always replace them sometime down the road.
Anyone catch the ending of the Rutgers/St Johns game? What a horrible ending! Catch it on ESPN tonight as I'm sure they will cover it. March Madness awaits.
Jack - Thanks for the info, I did some reseach on lipomas in dogs and it gave me alot of hope.
SJ - I can only imagine what line of defense you have in mind, we can only hope you can share it with us at a later time!
Fifedog- You're on with the weight lose....how much?
Chief - Great story, if that story doesn't remind everyone to have respect for others before knowing them I don't know what would, thanks!
Greg - Post away, it's a great thread.
Thanks again to all,
Ray

Ray,
for Sable. Sorry I missed that before.
Good morning all,
It is cloudy in SE Indiana. Any state that has the Indianapolis 500 IS heaven on earth. Don B, nice addition to Chief's deck. Scrimmaged last night with "my" soccer girls. Lunch with sis did not go too bad. She was not too upset about stuff so far so I am not doing too bad. Work has been relentless. Do not see a slowdown for awhile. I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on "Points East". TBIL anytime tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Hia GUYZ,
BIG RAINS here today to get 3.5 inch o rain, boy why couldn't it be snow? We'd have it til July. DARN.
Stay frosty,

RAY,
Prayers for the PUP SABLE sorry I missed the post. I know the pain you're feeling.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a rainy 40 degrees. Ground is getting soaked. Going up to 48 today with rain all day.
Today is a busy day. Gravel truck this morning for the driveway. ( 340 feet ). Probably going to take 2 loads. ( 20 tons ). Price went up a lot since the last time. Then, I will run an errand. Nap this afternoon. Good weather for it.
Dining car is here from "Points West". Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Thursday. Keep dry.
Chuck

MikeC - missed what is taking place. Prayers that it all works out.JimT - DC has all walks of life, and it is really a neat place to live. One of the few cities where you really don't need to own a car, unless you want to travel by car.
Good morning
It's damp and gloomy, but 43 and I'll take it. Cereal for breakfast and 2 grandson's this afternoon. 1/2 day of school...S.J.

Aloha all. Still battling computer issues at work with our continuing upgrades. Just normal stuff. Sorry about Sable, Ray. That was sure a horrible end for Rutgers; don't think that team will ref again. Chuck, wow! 20 tons of gravel! That's alot. Serving at church mid-week service as video director tonight.

Good afternoon all,
I was not able to post last night due to getting home late from Bible study. By the time we got home and I got all the kids to bed I was beat. The weather has been very nice today and the high is in the 60s. It's been a somewhat slow day at work. I don't have much on tonight's agenda either.
Traindood - I lived in Germany for three years and loved how easy it was to use their train system to travel around Germany. I'm not saying they are a better country in any way, but as a train fan I was certainly a happy camper. But of course, the autobahn was certainly fun as well.
Good day,
Joe
Doug M.....Back in 1998, we had to build a road that is 1480 feet, to get back here, to build this house. It was a big hay field. It took 26 truck loads, about 170 tons to build a road good enough for the cement and concrete block trucks. That was a lot of gravel.
traindood Hey Chief: Thanks for the invite. My daughter vacations near Hickory. N.C. from time to time. I don't know if that is near you. Maybe they'll drag me along one of these days. Hey you never know......................! later.
Quite a ways west of me. Near I-85, I-40 and I-95.
Afternoon all. Busy day. Early dentist apt [2 hours] and then letters of thank you to the agencies that responded to the "tornado". Haircut this afternoon. Then heavy rains. Wifey cooking homemade spaghetti.
Sorry about Sable. Missed the post.

Gloomy all day and damp, these old bone's are aching. 2 grandsons here for the afternoon, actually behaved themselves. Tomorrow granny's gonna let them be at their house. Banilla is ready for the Tardis...S.J.
Jack,
You have made some very valid and equally wise observations as you have recorded below. However I do feel inclined to make a few comments.
RockIsland52 Buckeye........I have to agree with Chuck about the Lent list you prepared, about what to give up. Telling the truth about the Chief is tough enough. Remaining silent may not be the most Christian thing to do. It has been a struggle all day. Chief......you are going on a retreat? I didn't realize the word retreat was in your vocabulary. It isn't one of those retreats where you have to remain silent for a couple of days, is it? If so, you might be asked to leave. I believe it is an all you can eat retreat. Brent......the "Big Dig" here started out as a $2.8 Billion project and grew into the most expensive public works project in US history @ $15.5 billion. The tunnels leak like a sieve, one motorist was killed by improperly installed falling ceiling tiles (2 tons apiece), and all of the above ground space which was vacated when they moved the Central Artery undeground was supposed to be turned into parks......but they ran out of money. The Fed's funding was pulled when they eventually realized this project was a grossly mismanaged project and a huge money pit after the actual expenditures versus forecast reached 500% over budget. When the Government has your money, they show a particular callousness with how well it is spent and a blatant gross inability to manage it's use. No checks and balances, and certainly no ultimate accountability built right in to boot. What a boondogle!!! Interestingly when I attend transportation conferences the titles of sessions that concern the Big Dig are commonly named "Lessons Learned at the Big Dig" or "Managment Mistakes on the Big Dig". We don't have sessions titled "On time and On Schedule" or "Inovation in Tunnel Linings used on the Big Dig". The Zilwaukee Bridge is now the second most screwed up highway project thanks to the Big Dig.

RockIsland - I don't think its been over the top...
Compared to some topics in the last 7 years, it didn't even approach the top.
Fifedog - Wow! If I could do that it would be impressive. I'll try though. It's a good goal, good luck!
Chief - The last time we had homemade spaghetti was about a year ago. It might seem like some extra work, and it is, but it's a great treat. Cooks fast, and is better for you.
Chuck - That IS alot of gravel.
MikeC - Day by day is what it takes. You'll probably find it hardest around important dates that your family shared.
DougM - I heard today that those ref's have bowed out for the remainder of the Big East Tournament. Had to be a difficult choice on their part to do that, I wonder if they had some in making that choice????
I will not be going to York. Too muck work and not enough money. Sounds great though.
Hoping all is well,

Evening all
Been AWOL for several days. Too much going on. Spent some time going through the old posts. Even when I don't post I do think of you all and keep you in my prayers.
Dennis - Looking forward to the release of the movie. If has some big shoes to follow with Giants and Fire, something. Can't remember the names but we showed them at youth and married couples retreats.
Chief - neat deck.
Buckeye - Good luck with your Lenten pennance, you may start with a few Hail Marys to set the tone.
Good nigh and may God bless
