Good morning all,
It is rainy again in SE Indiana. OMWUMNSFGH. Well, there was a "window over Terre Haute" (and Columbus, IN as well) last night, but the 'powers that be" decided the fields were too wet to play on. What a bunch of wimps! So we went home and I practice with "my " soccer girls for the first time outside (where the water was standing in some spots!). I made one nice shot for a goal that I think surprised a few people. Practice does pay off. After that I went to the YMCA to do weights. Dog was growling at a opossum last night. This is twice in the last week. Next time I will catch it and transfer it to the country. Brutus, the advice Dennis gives about the hand sanitizer is true. We did it for Lucas and it worked pretty well. His last comment is equally valid. Hang in there.
dwiemer wrmcclellan Vacation over and back to w**k tomorrow. Roy, how dare you use such four letter words! Just kidding, hope you had a great vacation and that work doesn't hit you too hard on your return. Told wife of your daughter's intentions. She said "great, all graduates should either go to nursing school or the military". Brutus, prayers been said and will continue to do so. The news I expected from what you had been saying. One suggestion: Get plenty of the waterless hand sanitizer. Have some by the front door when folks come in to the house, have a small bottle in each family members pocket to wash hands after touching things at work/school, and other people. Also, don't touch your face until cleaning your hands. That way, you can greatly reduce the illness of the rest of the family so they don't bring it home. They have come a long way with treatment, but unfortunately, the side affects, like reducing white cells and ability to fight illness are a necessary thing. Glad that you and the family are able to be so supportive...helps so much. This is yet another demonstration of the quality folks we have around here. We rally around the needs of others in prayer and support. "The Prayers of a righteous man availeth much". God Bless,Dennis

I had a nice surprise for breakfast. The "saucy wench" was having trouble sleeping so she got up early and made bacon and biscuits for breakfast on the dining car. Sorry I was late for the Tardis pickup last night. Having the game cancelled completely threw off my schedule. I am supposed to practice with the high school boys' team, but we got even more rain last night. Field will probably be flooded :-( Beacon will be lit again. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

If he doesn't, I have an extra one that has a small hole in the top but have the piece maybe you can glue back . It had a small piece sticking down that went into one of the small cirvle vents on top and I miss alligned and it broke out. I need to locate it and I might of glued it back in myself don't remember but I got one from Jeff and thats on my nyc gp-9 now. so the other one you could have.

Back on the hill for our last week of observations before summer shutdown. Weather is fairly good, even though we are still seeing the too-soons in the afternoon.
doug - I did get your email about the Magma RS-3. I didn't bid on it as I'm waiting to finish up a couple of other projects but thanks for the info. I'd also kind of like to see how seayakbill's turns out
seayakbill - you had me lol when I read about vacuuming out the train track marks in the carpet
kurt - those carbs on the gas blowers are funny little things w/o floats so you can turn them on their side. They work off of atmo pressure and if the holes to the diaphram get covered up that can cause problems. Usually this means they don't idle or run at all, but it could be a cracked diaphram. It's fairly easy to get out to look at as I remember and you should be able to get a kit if that's the case
chief - I can't say as to whether I have ever had sweet tea of the proper sort. I think I missed that when exposed to some southern cuisine in Gulfport for the Navy (not necessarily great cuisine either). I did sample okra for the first time though. And the 1st class petty officer in charge of our class? We were sure he had a crawfish tank between the seats of his van.
brutus - prayers for you and your wife
steve - good luck on the job search
Well not too much else going on. I'm going to price out the parts I think I'll need for the Corvair. Thinking of doing a fairly basic rebuild on the stock 80 HP as some day I may decide to upgrade. Be nice to have it running though. Ever tried to get a 4 X 8 piece of plywood in a jeep? Forget it. This summers big hurdle will be to get the MG fired off. Got the micromark catalog in the mail today, been a while since I had seen one, some neat stuff in there. Got to book the Amtrak trip to La Junta from Flagstaff this week and then the 'Hound from the Ol' Pueblo to Flag. Looking forward to the trip over Raton Pass.
For those who were recently travelling in the Great Plains states, BNSF has some awesome coal drags thru Nebraska. We follow the north-south lines for a ways on our trip from CO to the rez in South Dakota. Bridgeport is also a great place, where old farm equipment goes to rest. There are two major salvage yards that have stuff almost as far as the eye can see. I'm, of course, always drawn to the re d group of IHC stuff. Now I have a real image when I read Roger Welsh's books.
Hope everyone is having a good week

Good Evening,
Spent the night getting Chris' laptop connected to the system. What a hassle, especially that I knew what was wrong just not how to get to it. The WEP key needed to be reinstalled. But finding it !!!!! Took me a week, and finally through a "on line" chat. The problem was I was entering the wrong number to access the router set up page to find the codes. Once got that done, everything just rolled out fine.
An update on our local dancer; she is out for a couple of days. The house is tented for extermination. Either they are selling, or might have an invasion of some small critters. Wonder how that could happen!
Question for your retired folks;
If you own a business, and you retire and draw SS., and the wife is younger can't she still operate the business? (Of course) But does that mean you file seperate tax returns? If filed jointly wouldn't that put your income in excess of SS? Not looking for professional advice here, just general discussion.
Getting late!
Prayers for all in need, Brutus, Lionroar, and their wives. Steve's job search, and others as necessary!

Evening all!
Brutus - prayers for you and your wife God bless.
Dennis - I hope she sticks with the nursing program. School counselor really helped here. Told my daughter that nursing will always provide a job for her, even in tough times.
Hope everyone else is doing OK. Steve - good luck with the job search!
T-Storms here. Need the rain always!
Regards, Roy
Legislative reception was good [food anyway]. Great news!!!! TWC has signed an agreement with RFD-TV. Do not know when it will hit the programing here but it has been signed.
8, good luck with the veggie garden and the showers. Sure helped mine.
Steve, a prayer for you to find a good job.
Brutus, told you that you had friends and great support.
Good night to all. God bless.

Brutus - prayers for your wife and family. My sister had chemo/radiation treatments in her fight with a type of bone marrow cancer. Extra cleanliness with just about everything was necessary during her recovery. She even had to be careful with what she ate. She was limited on some of the fresh fruits and vegetables because of the germs that rode on them.
Enjoyng the thunderstorms tonight. Won't have to water the veggie patch now. The real heavy weather passed south and east of us.
Kpolak - did you wave at Sedalia when you went passed, about 1 1/2 hours east of KC?
Last night was another Lost evening. We've finished up season 2 now.
Good Evening
It was a nice sunny day. Did some shopping this Morn, ran some trains this afternoon. Annual checkup with urologist tomorrow, my PSA is right where it should be so things should just be routine. Fresh supply of banilla and some butterpecan too. Brutus fire up the thingy and lets get going. S.J.

Not to much going on today. just a drop in to say hi. Lets see now where did I put that grits converter. need to convert somemore of Patricks grits to something like Farina or oatmeal.
Leave chiefs alone for now anyway
Well the job fair was a bust. Ad in the paper was misleading but at least they were truthfull when you walked in so they didn't waste more of your time. Did a cold call on a company on my way home since I was dressed for an interview and had a resume in my pocket and they actually had two openings, so I applied there. Hopeully something will come of that.

I can't say it any better than the rest of the gang, and that includes Bob K. I agree 100% with the above!
Took Laura to BWI Air Port in Baltimore this morning. On her way for a weeks reunion out in Shack and Bakes area. Of course we had to go during "Rush Hour". Turned out to be a 6 hour round trip. A few chores and then relax.

Morning. Wow, slept till 8:15 [Lucy and Burg too]. Been on phone ever since. Selling a lot down east to long time friend's son. She has been calling me back and forth to be sure the surveyor is laying it out right. Selling the lot at 1/3 the value as they are good people and the young man needs a "start".
Got meetings later. Need a cup of coffee and some cream horns [wife bought at gro]. We got 4 tenths of an inch of rain and no hail nor wind damage. Corn is jumping taller and taller.
Banks, you live at a great place to view my NS. Greatest railroad in the world.
Brutus, prayers this AM during Bible reading time. We are here for you.
Later.

Sun but showers expected.
Just had a "chat" with Brutus, I can tell his heart is heavy.
Kurt good to hear from you. Like missing a son without you.
I am heading to Kroger when I finish this. I actually feel hungry again, not sure if that is good, I think my weight will return.
Enjoy your day...S.J.
Good Morning: Muggy and damp here this am. Off to a "job fair" today, never thought i'd have this much trouble finding employment. Daughter wants to be home schooled her last two years, I'm against it but with no money for tuition I might have to agree,(public schools are not an option). Well gotta get ready to go be humiliated some more. chat later....Steve

‘Morning!
Brutus – for your wife
for those I’ve missed and anyone who needs it!!
Congas, Roy!!
Up to 90 today and cloudy. no rain in sight. 90 tomorrow, too.
Found someone liquidating her uncles’ trains, bought 4 boxes for $121. Lots of Marx stuff, transformers and Lionel/MPC cars. A couple of 8040’s as well. Her husband works for a local tire shop, so I may send him some business.
Princess comes home Saturday, one day home then off to Dance Cap for a week. It’ll be great when she’s home.
I’ll have to bomb the house during the week, we’ve have almost 14” of rain, and it seems to have driven the critters into the house. I’ll put the cats on the screen porch with food, water and litter. That should take care of ‘em.
Not up yet, but still at work. Had coffee and egg o’muffins for breakfast (one of the few time I’ve had breakfast). I’ll probably be up by 10 AM.
See ya inna while!
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin
It is rainy in SE Indiana, but there should be "a window over Terre Haute" so we can get the game in tonight. Jim, what the Chief said below is so true. The support from this forum is incalcuable. Lean on us. Lucas told me one time he could feel the prayers.
ChiefEagles Thank you Jim. Now keep us updated. We walked through it with Lucus on a daily basis. Mike C use to keep us informed. We are here for you and the wife. No one will tire of hearing. We all love you. God bless.
I did weights and soccer juggling at the YMCA last night and then did some practicing with the high school team. I had the regular fare on the dining car. Beacon is lit for after the game, but be careful of the stormy weather. I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning from beautiful Southern Ohio
Last night my bride and I went to look at a truck camper we saw on ebay. It is very much what we have been looking for and time will tell if it says in our price range.
Kurt – Good to see back
DougDG – I’m so glad your goose is better
Jim F – You and your bride are in my prayers for healing.
Need to get to work
May God bless
Jim
Hello all. I've been trying to keep up.
Brutus , looks like you've got a haul in front of you. My prayers will continue, keep us posted.
Has Jack's grandchild been born yet?
Congratulations to Roy and his daughter.
Not a lot of time lately. Preparing to take the annual trip to the Beach at Fenwick Island, Delaware. If there is time I will visit the train show, sponsered by The Delaware SeaSide Railroad Club, in Rehoboth on the way home on the 20th.
Prayer for all who need them.

Morning to all.
Put on a fresh pot. No trains last night, went out to dinner kind of late and then reclinerized while watching TV.
Brutus - prayers for your MRs. and your family.
Roy - congrats on your daughter's graduation and 18th birthday.
Doug/CNW1995 - You are right about us being in school late. We have lots of professional days built in our calendar that lengthen the school year. We always seem to finish the end of the second week in June.
LAZ - Enjoy your time off. When you get mulch, could you spread a load or two at my place?
Have to get moving, lots to do at work. Last full day with students.
Take care,
Mitch

Jim,
I cant say anything that would be any better than the Chief or Ken has previously stated. But you ARE part of this family, and one of the old birds. So you must keep us informed, we care, and need to know. Hopefully, we will be able to "share" some of your discomfort and may be able to help in some way. I'm pretty good at cleaning walls, wish I could be there to help.
Prayers will definetly continue! Let Char know we care!!!
After all where would the Tardis be without you???
