Good Morning from Blueberryhill.......

It's another gloomy, humid day, with the chance of rain. Going up to 86 degrees. Hot. Good afternoon to run trains. I have a few things to do around the house. But nothing big.   We had a good time at the Clambake. Great food. I am wondering if there is a problem with certain brands of computers and the forum software. Hmmmm

Well, I am going to have breakfast. Be back later.

Y'all have a great day.

Good Morning again,
I noticed some of you are having trouble with your PC's and the forum software.  Me too.  I found out that I have to close out the forum when I rum Adobe Photo Shop.  If I don't close it then my computer will freeze.  I never had that trouble with the old forum software.  No big deal once you figure it out though.

Good morning everyone,

Looks like it's going to be a hot and humid one (again).  Glad I got lawned mowed last night.  More work to do around the house today.  I am supposed to be hearing from the company coming to look at my basement walls where water is coming in.  This is suppose to be my new train room, and I can't start getting the drywall back up until the foundation crack is repaired, hope it dosen't cost too muchDisapprove [V]

I had that same issues when I opened Acrobat Reader with forum open also.  Everything froze, strange...

Its up to 86 here at 10:30 a.m. EST with fairly high humidity.  Did my outdoor work before the morning clouds burned off and I ended up soaked with sweat.  I've been doing some scratch building but its a bit too hot in my work room, even with a fan on, to spend a lot of time at the bench.  When it really gets hot this afternoon I think I'll head for the train room and crank up the AC.

Good morning.

Hot & Humid here.  Staying inside after a little outside work.  Still having a problem with posting pictures.  Will not copy from some sources?

Anyone interested in some neat collector cars.  Check out these links.

http://www.nloe.org/clubcar.htm  for a box car.

http://www.rmli.org/ for an aquarium car.

Received these links from the "Trainbuddies email".  Anybody else get this monthly newsletter.  They come up with some neat stuff, not a bargain site but I have bought a few things from them.

Enjoy the day.

That is a Lionmaster version [which is fine] but is selling for a lot more than the Lionmaster retail in the catalog [when it was out].  The set at Miss Edna's didn't sell for much more than that.  No wonder shipping is free.  Bought my two scale versions LN in OB for $260 each.  Now he is right, they are hard to find now.

Have you noticed that everything you and I own in the way of trains has become rare according to the the various auction sites?  What a racket!  Thumbs Down [tdn]

Hi guys.  Hot here in St Louis.  Had to work this morning - 4 hours of OT.

Recently picked up a dvd of episodes from Petticoat Junction at the Crackerbarrel.  Lots of train action - includes an episode titles (I think) The Shady Rest Short Line.  Apparently the railroad had lost track of the fact they had this train running from Pixley to Hooterville.  One of the board members goes down to check it out.  The Canonball Express line isn't even connected to the main line any more.  Pretty funny!  It sort of ended like it was a 2-parter, but they didn't have another related episode on this 7 episode disc.  I wish they would release this series in Season Sets.

Gotta run to Lowes - may make the whole family go and eat dinner out on the way home or something.  Need to pick out a new Shower Stall Angry [:(!] and also see if they have a tool for vinyl siding.

Laz - VERY nice benchwork!  Roy, glad the emails are fixed.  Chuck - looks like you were hanging out with a shady character there!  Hope you guys had a great meal and good talk.

Thanks for welcome Don.  I need all the information I can get!  Just getting back into O Gauge.  I have some MTH and Lionel rolling stock, few accessories and one MTH startset I purchased 3 years ago.  It's a Railking passenger set with the J class steamer.  Just ordered the Polar Express set cause I really Love the Christmas items.  Actually, have alot to purchase and that has put me off in this hobby becuase of cost.  But, I finely wised up and learned to be patient with my purchases.  Half the fun is looking and deciding what to get.

Thanks,

Dan

Hey - I updated my avatar and my old signature block appeared!

Yes, this is one of first things I noticed about the new forum.  My signature was in my profile but it wasn't showing in my posts.  All that was necessary was to "save changes" even though I didn't change anything in my profile and the signature reappeared.

Sign - Welcome [#welcome]Dan = love the picture of the hound. I am sure BB will be happy to see a cousin on the forum.

We made the trip to SEARS and the big orange enormous hardware lumberyard to look for a new washer and dryer. The Mrs. thinks we need a new set. We bought the last pair at an auction for $120. The price of new washer and dryers is scaring me to death Shock [:O]. I see visions of lots of toys with flanged wheels that will not be purchased. Oh well, we gotta have clean clothes.

Too hot to work in the train room or in the yard. I want to get the shelves finished so I can run some trains but it's not happening with temps in the mid to upper 90's the next week or so. The train room has no a/c I might look for a small window unit at a yard sale or on clearance. The room is so small that a tiny unit would turn it into a meat locker.

Until later,

Good evening,

Chuck, It looks like you are enjoying the animations! Big Smile [:D]

Mitch,  About 10 years ago I purchased a used AC from a local guy who repairs appliances & it is still running.  You might try that route.

John,  After I made the post and said I had been getting a run time error, I did not get it when I closed, go figure.  Will see what happens this time.

Someone mentioned BB, I don't think I have seen David on the pot since the change over, has he been on?

John: (Jeffelectric), I haven't had any more trouble with it shutting down !! I played with my signature Avatars too, & it says it may take ten minutes to appear, but I checked right away each time & it was there !! Also, Dave posted a tiny one on page 928 here.

Now, one for  ?? !!!!!

Hello everyone.

I spent about an hour making a CD of locomotive horns. The sound quality is pretty good, and I have already burned 3 copies, and gave one to my neighbor. Here are the 2 sites I got them from.

Enjoy,

Glad to see Colin back [don't want to say that too loud, he'll get the big head].  Chuck is trying to rack up posts. Tongue [:P]Wink [;)]  Serviced and ran some trains.  Had one that was locking up the motor until lots of juice was applied.  Found a tiny speck of coal in a gear.  Got it out and off she went.  Later.
