I don't know if that's a good idea. I could never explain to my wife that I go to this forum to talk about trains!

Live from Roger’s Corners,
It’s Saturday Morning

I heard this story while eating a cheeseburger last year at Andys Cheesesteaks & Cheeseburgers of Roseyville. You know the place, near Main and Walls Creek.

MEDICARE

The phone rings and the lady of the house answers,

"Hello ."

"Mrs. Eagles, please."

"Speaking."

"Mrs. Eagles, this is Doctor Jones at the Roseyville Medical Testing Laboratory. When your doctor sent your husband's biopsy to the lab yesterday, a biopsy from another Mr. Eagles arrived as well, and we are now uncertain which one is your husband's. Frankly the results are either bad or terrible."

"What do you mean?" Mrs. Eagles asks nervously.

"Well, one of the specimens tested positive for Alzheimer's and the other one tested positive for AIDS. We can't tell which is your husband's."

"That's dreadful! Can't you do the test again?" questioned

Mrs. Eagles.

"Normally we can, but Medicare will only pay for these expensive tests one time."

"Well, what am I supposed to do now?"

"The people at Medicare recommend that you drop your husband off somewhere in the middle of Roseyville. If he finds his way home, don't sleep with him." [(-D][(-D][(-D][(-D][(-D][(-D]

A very busy week for me in Buckeyeland and I was unable to spend much time on the forum or running the trains. New track arrived from Joel for the layout expansion, so maybe I will get something done with it this weekend. Thanks again, Joel.[tup]

Travel Plans in the next six months include Milburn, NJ, Nashville, TN., Wawa, ON, Mayville, NY, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Cambridge, OH and Williamsburg, VA. If certain multi-billion dollar check is presented to the State of Indiana, I might be over in the Hoosier State for a visit. Any guesses what is going on? [:D] [;)] That's right, we have another way to protect Ohio from invasion. TMCC, when is that big train show again?

Jimmie, make sure you take your heart medicine today especially if lawn mowing is going to commence with your new found friends. Just don't run the snowblower. (Laz, I still don't know how Jimmie was able to obtain a photo of the students in your shop class. )

I was in downtown Columbus yesterday and had to park on the 7th floor of the garage. The elevator was undergoing repair. [:(] Yes, Chief there are really buildings that big outside of Roseyville. Seven flights of stairs back up. [xx(]

Everyone have a good weekend. [:D]

Good morning from Gettysburg where it is 25 degrees, may get into the 40's today.

Buckeye- I was ROTFLMAO - another great story.

LAZ - if those are your students, I might want to transfer to your school. Zowie [;)]

Jimbo - Let's hope you survive this weekend. Too much excitement like those drinking buddies might give me cardiac arrest.

Have a great day.

TMCC, I am supposed to be in NJ that Friday. .......... I wonder if I can make this work. If I flew out for my meetings on Friday and did the show on Saturday. I would then fly back to good ole Buckeyeland late Saturday or early Sunday. (Maybe I could get a flight that would go over N.C. [:-,][:-,][:-,][:-,] BOMBS AWAY!!!

I don't know why everyone is laughing so hard at the story I told this morning. It is obvious to me that Mrs. Chief instead of dropping him in the center of Roseyville, has resorted to putting him on an airplane telling him he is going to work. I believe it is very clever on her part., except none of us are keeping him for her, but sending him back.[:D]. She should pin a note to his shirt in the future. I think Bob in Austin almost took the bait last night.

Good Morning All from NE Ohio

where the temp is 48 and falling to 17 with Blue Clear Skies . By the end of the day we will be in a winter snow storm. [:(]

Laz – have fun at the train show.

Buckeye – They really have phones in Roseyville [?] [:O] [:o)]

WE have been very busy lately. I decided to rework a small corner of my layout. Pic are sure to follow. Also have been working on the tin plate layout at the museum and last night was OTTS meeting.

Today there is a local auction with ‘Toy Trains’ in it, so we will check it out also.

Last night we had a real treat seeing a scaled ‘O’ Gauge Live Steam’ Hudson. What a treat! ! !

Buckeye, too funny. When you are in NJ, Millburn has a train store that advertises inCTT. I used to date a woman who lived around the corner. At the time, I was more interested in the woman and never made it to the store. Anyway, have a good one.

[;)] Really enjoyed the Nelson family last night. Great folks. Wish I had more time to sit and talk. Both are very interesting folks. Bob has done some of his great electrical engineering to his layout. Rainy here. Got o go. God bless all.

Good Morning all!

Yikes! Wawa Ontario? Somebody must have been bad in a previous life to be sent there! Wawa has 2 seasons...winter and blackfly.

Been very busy since yesterday. I'm selling off all my train stuff so I can finance my new hobby....R/C airplanes. The extra cash should come in handy since the hobby looks very high maintenance. Guess that's the price you pay for the better scenery...although those mountains look man made to me.

Wonderful pics, Roger! That's the type of realism I'm shootin' for!

Good morning everyone from Western Michigan!

Though alot of the action here has taken place east of me trainwise, I had a typical work week. Supposed to get colder this weekend in the 20's and possibly under that. My young brother in TX really like the new O-42 curves I bought for him and sent down to him, along with the switches I gotten from Spanky the last weekend. The old O-27 curves he had were pretty worn out, so I figured to help get something better and start out with some wider curves to get him started.

Today I am going to pretty much veg out, and probably look at some of those Atlas cars on the AM Hobbies site that's been catching my eye. Might place a preorder on them since they wont be out unitl the summertime so that should give me enough time to get the money for them.

Have a blessed one everyone. [:)]

Morning, everyone.

Rainy here today - good day to stay inside. I'm going to take some time to sort through some of my train stuff, train books, mags, videos, etc. and get them better organized. Get rid of some excess packing boxes (no, not the important ones!)

Hope you all have a good one!

Report just in:

The National Transportation Safety Board

In a Government funded project ... The National Transportation Safety Board recently divulged they had covertly funded a project with the US auto makers for the past five years, whereby the auto makers were installing hidden black box voice recorders in four-wheel drive pickup trucks and SUV's in an effort to determine, in fatal accidents, the circumstances in the last 15 seconds before the crash.

They were surprised to find that in most of the autos the recorded last
words of drivers in 61.2 percent of fatal crashes were, "Oh my God"!

However, the results in Ohio showed for places like Roger's Corners, Willoughby, Conneaut, Seven Hills, N Canton, Caldwell, Westerville, and Parma were different, where 89.3 percent of the final words were:

"Hold my beer, I'm gonna try somethin."

There was one other data point somewhat related to the above, Millersburg, PA, but it was thrown out due to some comment about a 600lb bear driving.

Regards, Roy

Corvairs! I think there are more Monza Juniors on the roads these days then there are real Corvairs. These were miniature versions of Chevy's show car, the Monza SS.

It was great to meet Frank in person at last. We did indeed have a good time talking and playing with the trains. I told my daughter that Frank had come all the way from North Carolina just to eat my spaghetti; and she believed it.

Frank was good enough to climb up and take an aerial shot of my yard throat that I wanted to post a picture of long ago. I gave up trying to get it posted; but I'm sure he can do the job.

We taught him how to pronounce Buda ("Byuda"); so now he can pass as an Austinite.
