Good morning everyone
Well, so far I have nothing planned, so that means I will probably have unscheduled events.

Thanks guys,
That was a nice show of support for remaining in the toy train hobby. There was never any fear of me packing up and selling the trains though. If there was any doubt, Keith put them to rest when he mentioned R/C planes crashing into Corvairs.

Y'all are one great bunch of guys!

My first flight with an R/C plane resulted in a quick run back to the house for a chain saw, need I say more.

Sunshine is good.
Chief.....Sounds like you are a little bored in TX.
Today, I plan on watching the NASCAR race from Fontana, CA. It should be a good
one. Without restrictor plates. Hope so.
And we will run some trains today for a treat.

Good Morning all,

Roger B, That sounds familiar. Last summer I thought I would try one of the new electric R/C planes. Second flight it got ahead of me downwind and I spun it in, while trying to avoid a power line. Repaired it but have yet to try it again. The old reflexes aren't what they used to be.

HI GIZ,
Went to the Allentown show yesterday.
Got started at 9:40 and finally got through at 3:10. Then had 50 minutes to go and try to make some deals.
Saw a K-line K4 with elephant ears that a guy had he wanted $500 and wouldn't budge, so I passed on that . And then found a Weaver Reading G1 steamer for $489 and they wouldn't budge on that , so ended up with a few autos, a K-line Mustang WWII plane, and a couple of trucks. Talk about being a packed house? Wow lots o people.
Went to the Tally Ho in Bethlehem with the wives and had a great dinner. Nice to get a way.

ROY, Yep you are right on that 600 lb. bear, he just woke up from hibernating.
And is he cranky?

TOM, how does that steamer run?
Sounds like YUZ GIZ are taking the bull by the horns.

All have a good one ? Later.

Mornin Some, Afternoon Most !!
Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day, but they are saying to get ready and battin down the hatches. They've already issued weather warnings for monday thru wednesday. We are in desperate need of the rain but when it dumps in buckets it don't help at all. When we only get about 9" a year downpors end up in the bay.
Tom, tried to send some folks your way, we had some visitors from Buckeye's area at the museum friday. Mentioned to them about OTTS and the museum project.
Have a good day. [|(]

Laz, I wouldn't have gotten either of them. At ay my local train shows, I have seen that Weaver G1 for about $350-$400. If I had the money, I would have gotten it, and the heavyweights to go with it.

Doug,
I bet running the trains at the museum is interesting just from the people you meet from all over the world. At this time of year the snowbirds are everywhere except Ohio.

Laz,
Have you ever been to Trains and Lanes just NE of Bethelehm?

Let's analyse this with logic:
The Chief is in Austin.
They find the racin in Austin.

Is this a coincidence or can we see a pattern?

BUCKEYE,
Yep my wife found it and took me there.
I was amazed at the selection of stuff but they don't give you a break on anything. Everything is a list price. Cool store especially the slot car setup fr racing. Hugh track.

The National Transportation Safety Board

In a Government funded project ... The National Transportation Safety Board recently divulged they had covertly funded a project with the US auto makers for the past five years, whereby the auto makers were installing hidden black box voice recorders in four-wheel drive pickup trucks and SUV's in an effort to determine, in fatal accidents, the circumstances in the last 15 seconds before the crash.

They were surprised to find that in most of the autos the recorded last
words of drivers in 61.2 percent of fatal crashes were, "Oh my God"!

However, the results in Ohio showed for places like Roger's Corners, Willoughby, Conneaut, Seven Hills, N Canton, Caldwell, Westerville, and Parma were different, where 89.3 percent of the final words were:

"Hold my beer, I'm gonna try somethin."

There was one other data point somewhat related to the above, Millersburg, PA, but it was thrown out due to some comment about a 600lb bear driving.

Good day from a chilly Gettsyburg PA. Went to church this AM and came home, had lunch and worked out in the train room (more like a closet). Trying to clean up a bit.
Trip to Morgantown yesterday was great. Took our son to lunch, ate some wings and watched WVU beat Louisville on the big screen. Had a nice visit.[:D]

Mickey- The farm building looks great. My back feels the same after I've been down on the floor under the train table looking for something.[:)]

LAZ - too bad about the K4. Some folks just won't negotiate on the price. Save your money, maybe you'll find one at the TCA Show in April. I am already getting anxious for it to get here. [sigh] I hope i can take off and go on Thursday and Friday.

Well, I'm going to watch the race (and probably take a little siesta).

Take care,

Mickey that barn is about the finest piece of scratching building I have see.

How long did it take? Is it wood?

I may hve mentiuoned the k line set I bought with the burned out switcher.

I am making it into a dummy.

I removed the motors and gears and now have painted the frame and shell.
