Good morning all from sunny downtown Gormley, Ontario.

It appears many of our mates here on the forum are dealing with difficult life situations. It is my scincerest wi***hat whatever they may be, your problems and the problems of loved ones have the best possible outcomes. Sharing your issues here can only help....and help to remind the rest of us how precious our lives are and when times are good that we are truly blessed. As always, my thoughts and prayers go out to those individuals in need.

Colin...Just got a copy of March's CTT and yep, there's a red Corvair convertible on page 43. It looks like the same model as Tom ( Spankybird ) has. The magazine sorta fell open to that page with the help of one of those pesky subscription cards.

Good Morning All from NE Ohio

where the temp is 34 and going up to 44 with over cast skies and even an overnight light coating of lake effect snow.

John – nice pics.

OTTS Meeting tomorrow at Charlie’s layout, 7:00pm

Train Show – Saturday and Sunday at Valley Forge HS , Parma

Tonight we will be testing the wiring we did the other night at the museum layout. If everything is ok, then we move on to wiring the switches.

We are also going to redo one small part of Spanky’s Cove. The area on top of our mountain is going to get a face lift and different building on it.

Greetings from a warmer and sunny northwest Illinois. Going to take the boys to see one of our Senators - the one with the name like osama - who is making a rare visit to our burg. Kind of like a field trip to see a real live politico. Maybe stop in a train store along the way. Great photos, John.

Tom,

I restored a convertible 442 years ago. I cursed that car so often, when my dog heard the "F" word she knew enough to leave before the tools started flying! [;)]

Hello All! Bruce-Someone at CTT must have placed that subscription card exactly on pg 43 when they saw your address on the magazine & know that you like Corvairs![;)][:)][:P] I bet Bob did it. CTT has a good sense of humor. Watch out for a Grits coupon in your next months issue of CTT![;)] Nice Photo's John(jefelectric) Take Care all.

Good morning, all!

Rainy and warmer in central Alabama. Temps in the 60s today.

Gas prices have dropped below $2 for the first time in a long time around here. Hope they keep going down.

"Think spring and car 'cursing'?!?" Tom, you either meant cruising or you're talking about an old Buick Skyhawk I owned in the early '80s! Yes, I know Baptist preachers are not meant to cuss, but we sometimes feel like it even if we don't say it!

Have a good day, everybody!

My coaling station is nearing completion.

I added some red dog arounf on the ground and a couple of guys on the roof cleaning up.

Once the white glue dries and I dull coat it, I will try the lights and set it up.

You cant see them but the broken pains in the windows came out very nice.

I thinkI see a worker lying down on the job. :D

Now if I can just keep my hands off of it the rest on the week, she will be ready for the clear coating, the elmers will be dry and I can start an other project I hope.

I have been haveing trouble holding things and controlling a tremor in my hands. It is difficult to type. I also walk a little crooked.

I think I will see someone about it if it is still like this Monday. I expect it is a reaction to medication. Mt transplant meds will do that if they are a liite higher in dosage.

Any of you guys expierence this?

Great picks Steve - cool project!

God bless you and your mom, Chief, and I also pray for all our loved ones and friends who are sick or just need some extra help.

Just got back from having lab work done - she couldn't get a good vein on the left after prodding around for a while, so switched to the right. I was fasting and about passed out in the chair by the time she was done with her bloody work. Finally felt better, pee'd in the cup, and got home to eat and get my caffeine levels up again! I was getting my 40 year checkup 2 years late - finally got around to it. Luckily, Doc Sharma has long, thin fingers. If everything comes back okay, he'll put me on Lamisil to clear up my toenails, which have been yellow for about 25 years. The kids are getting into swimming and stuff, so I want to be able to swim with them without having people recoil in terror. Hoping my glucose comes back okay again. I keep worrying that I'm going to come up diabetic one of these days. Doc did notice I gained about 10 pounds over the past 2 months, but I am already back on WW, so hopefully will turn that around!

Trying to figure out something to do next on the lego setup and also maybe update my webpages this weekend.

Dr. John - do you read the Christian Research Journal?

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

GIZMOGAWG, Davis is a good place to send your trains.
I have one there now. If you send it there is a 7-10 week turn around. They will be fixed but its going to take a while.

I had to re-read this post. The first sentence threw me. "442 years ago" Jim, I knew you looked a little old but not that old. [:0][:p][;)]

Afternoon all. Been in Town meetings all day. Go to pack right now. Got County meeting tonight and off to Texas tomorrow. Warm and sun finally came out but no time to do outdoor chores planned.

Later and God bless.

Good Afternoon Everyone ! Just got my DSL internet service back on, about a half an hour ago. Had to hunt for other stuff to do, so used to the computer being there. I did get some work done in other areas though, like trying the JDs smoke fluid in my new engine & seemed to put out about the same. I think it does have the wires reversed on the fan though, I just hate the thought of disassembling her already !!
Well, hope everyone has a nice rest of the day, now I'm waiting for a B&O boxcar to arrive, that I won on ebay !!

Visited the new hobby shop after listening to the Senator. It's great! Had two running layouts in the window and a gigantic slot car track. Charges full MSRP for most everything but he was pretty well stocked and right 'on the square' in the town of Woodstock (which you may remember as a quaint place in the movie Groundhog Day). I bought a Revell model of a '64 Chevy to turn into a lowrider with my boy - and a bunch of O scale cows.

What scale are the slot cars Doug?

I hear a lot about them but have not seen them.

Do you own your own track or do you go to a place to race for an admition fee?

Great coaling station.
Chief, I just read your post regarding your mother and her age. My wife is 41 and seems to forget the last few birthdays, and I know better than to remind her! Enjoy the precious time you have with her.

mickey4479, You asked how big my layout is, It is a little complicated. In the finished part of the basement I have a 10' X 6' 8" layout which was the first part. This is connected by a 12" wide X 12' long shelf to the new layout in the unfinished part of the basement. That layout is 13' X 5' tapering to 4'. Don't have a track plan of the whole thing as the old part and the shelf use Realtrax which was drawn using the free software from MTH. The new layout uses Atlas and was drawn with their free software. Now it is prabably as clear as mud. In theory I can run 4 trains at one time, but rarely do. Plans are to put in a closed ciruit TV so I can see what is going on in the other room. Right now I do a lot of walking back and forth with the CAB-1.

Here is the connecting tunnel.

Evening all,

It looks like we are supposed to get 3 to 5 inches of snow tonight. How many days till spring?

Train show this weekend in Hamburg, NY. I am not sure if I'm going this Saturday or Sunday.

Have a good night.

jefelectric: Your layout sounds interesting. Please send a photo some Sunday.

tschmidt: In KC we are very dry. I would be happy with even more than 6 inches of snow if we could get it. Today, I raked leaves out of the garden and started the lawn mower to polish off leaves on the front yard. Friday, I may hose out the garage. We sometimes get a late March /April surprise.
