Good Morning All,

NE Ohio is cool with light rain, temp at 40 deg. Hey Laz, weatherman says we could have temps of 65 on Wednesday and 70 on Thursday. Maybe spring is coming after all.

We have some great pics on here.

Buckeye,

Great pic of the Glenwood Springs train station. I was able to sit at that station 3 years ago and watch the Amtrack arrive. We were in town for a wedding and only stayed about 3-4 blocks away at the Hotel Colorado where Teddy Roosevelt had stayed, NEVER stay there in the summer......... no AC and it did not cool down at night. Wonderful rafting trip the morning of the wedding (best part of the day)....... glad my wife doesn't read this forum.

Good Morning,

Good to be home after a wonderful 4 days in MPLS/St. Paul helping youngest son do final painting in his new digs. I really enjoy the big city but I REALLY enjoy coming home to the peace and quiet of being able to live in the quiet of the timber and watch a flock of wild turkey's pecking away this morning.

It's a 4 star day here with promises of 72 degrees. Good to be home.

Jon

PS--I did find the Amtrack station in St. Paul............ by accident[:D]

Good morning. I saw that commentary Chief and I never watch 60 Min. He was funny. Supposed to 60 today! (40 by end of week though)... Beautiful modeling of Glenwood sta, Roger! I like your photo angles, Chris. Didn't get the new CTT in the mail yet.

My youngest got a ring pop from the Easter bunny with a flashing LED in it - really weird to see his mouth glow red as he licked it. Of course, I confiscated it after he was done to put on top of one of my oil tanks - after washing it of course - I have to figure out how it works after its battery dies.

This is a nice train morning - a fire over the weekend at Deval tower has each train having to stop and be flagged through the interlocking this morning so we were a tad late. But I got to see UPY 1361in our home town yard - all black GP20 with large orange speed-lettering for Rio Grande.

After filling two plastic hoppers with leftover ballast rocks - real rocks - I've noticed my one-engine MPC-era FA can't pull 'em - because they each now weigh about 3 lbs each ;) - so I'll be having fun testing the pulling power of my engines with these hoppers - they are cheap MPC ones with plastic trucks so I'm curious how this super-extra weight will make them behave.

Wow, only one day - I thought our students had it bad - what passes for spring break was last week - we're on quarters instead of semesters so spring courses begin today. Neat, Chris - if you're referring to me ;) email me directly at cnw1995@yahoo.com so I could arrange for postage.

Good morning all,

Hope everyone had a blast yesterday. We still have one more week of "EASTER" break, no matter what the district calls it. Going to Sea World today, thank God for passes. Price is something like $45 to get in per person. Yikes.

Saw my brother yesterday, first time in a long time. It was great.

Take care all

Good afternoon!

Very windy and cool here in Prattville. We survived some rough weather the last two days - 5 inches of rain, hail and dodged a couple of tornadoes. It's good to see the sun shining, but the temperature certainly dropped!

Spring break is over here. My oldest daughter headed back to Birmingham and Samford University. My other two are also back in school. Now waiting for a warm, dry day to get some yard work done!

Wife has two "dings" [one on roof and one on hood] from hail that hit her just before she pulled into underground deck this AM. Buddy got his new pickup banged up bad as he was caught in traffic in Raleigh when it hailed. Nothing but rain here [8 miles northeast]. Windy and sprinkling after it was real warm and fair during the middle of the day. Suppose to be fair and up to 80 by Thursday. Just cleaned all of my track upstairs. Had not cleaned it in two months. Did not notice any difference. Rag was black and kept turning it over. Used denatured alcohol. Did service the tow Lionel SD80's and the MTH Dash 8 as they are run the most of all engines. Now for some TV [CSI Miami later] and microwave popcorn. [:D]

Good Morning All,

NE Ohio is quite with temp at 40 deg and going into the 50’s today. Come On Spring.

We heard a lot of train traffic this morning before leaving for work. I heard there was a train vrs van fight east of me. Train 1, Van 0. It must have held up train traffic last night.

Rain again this morning to get to 55 today. Maybe rain will stop?
CHIEF the wife likes to torment my dog? She puts up with her insanity, I just shake my head and say why? If my wife reads your post she'll have antlers for Christmas.
TOM nice pics of layout and downtown, but wheres the old trucks in town?(wink) To bad for the van. Hope none were hurt.
KEITH, I was wondering too why JIMBO didn't have those bunny ears on maybe people would mistake him for a Playboy model? Huba huba.
BUCKEYE is the official DINGUS Capitol of the world in AUSTIN TEXASS?
Happy Dingus Day to all and to all a good day.
