Tom, sad thing is , I already have the wood. Had it for almost a year now. What color do I paint the walls? Some color of sky blue I guess.

Nice video buckeye, the last time I rode the trolley up there, some years ago, it was a nice ride until a couple of guys started swapping slobbers. Just not used to seeing that in public. [:O]

Good Morning All,

NE Ohio is partly cloudy with a great sunrise and temp at 48 and a promise of 65 latter today.

PI Tim – sorry for the snow, I think we might see some again over the weekend.

Chief – we will believe the wood when we see it. I think you are having to much fun on the floor.

Nice photos, as usual. So the secret is out. Chief has the wood but not the will or way.

Guys,

My mac head buddy just showed me how to find "properties" and "URL" via Mac on Shutterfly. Just hold "control" and click on the image, then choose "open in new window" and copy the URL that shows up.

So now I can begin annoying everyone w/my photos until my mth club membership arrives by snail mail (unless I fill up shutterfly like I did village photos).

I went rabbit hunting w/BB last evening and want to show you the results. Also yesterday went and photographed the old PRR target signals still in use!!!!!

BB the beagle alerts to scent. Classic stance with one paw raised, tail curved.

She picks up the scent

She rushes toward the rabbit

Well.......... that was easy enough, maybe I'll put Village Photo on the backburner for a while. I didn't even have to resize with Shutterfly whereas I did with Village. It's interesting that when I contacted Shutterfly they wouldn't share this info with me, oh well, it's good to know people in high places [:)]

Glad I was able to help. Shutterfly holds way more photos that VillagePhoto.

At least we know how to do it now.

Very nice photo, btw

Nice pics Dave and jonadel. Glad you have the Mac thing done.

Dave, I have over 1500 pics on shutterfly. I don’t know of any limits. I do put together calendars of pics and order them. I have also order a mouse pad with part of my layout on it. Actually, the price of prints are the same or less than me printing them at home.

Laz- yes there was a Twilight Zone with Willoughby in it. It was something like a man on a train who was thinking about killing himself by jumping off the train. Willoughby was the name of the funeral home.

One more pic that's pretty special to me, and yes, it's not train related but this guy used to lay under the train tables in the summer to supervise me. I could be running 3-4 trains at once with all the sound effects going and he'd just sleep yet if the UPS truck came roaring in he was up barking and ready to bite the tires. He was a great friend.

Tom,

Appreciate all your help. We can now add this Mac solution to the photo posting "how-to's".

Jon,

That's funny about the biting tires. I take it he has passed on.

I thought so. I was trying to figure it out last night, use to watch all the Zones in college days, and when you posted pics yesterday something clicked. Now I do remember it. Loved that show they say that when Rod Sterling was a professor at I think Ithaca University his classes were a treat to take.
Nice pics DAVE and JON. TOM showed me how to use shutterfly and I also have lots o pics there.

David,

Yes, he's gone after enduring hip displaycia (sp) for over a year. As you know we live in the country in the timber and he lived outside (except when it was terribly hot or July 4), he had a great insualated dog house and loved to chase the deer and raccoon's. His last year he just stood on the deck and barked at them and kept them away, he was very smart about not chasing the wild turkey's. I was always amazed at his hearing and sense of smell, absolutely unbelievable. I haven't replaced him and won't, I don't think I could ever go through that again plus now with our kids gone we can travel at a moments notice. As brave and aggessive as he was he was completely trustworthy and overly gentle with our family but yet a fire cracker or thunder would scare him to death. A great breed of dog.

Jon, sorry about the loss of your buddy. Funny, the last time I cried in the past decade was when my dog died unexpectedly. Nice weather here though they say it should be pouring rain later. Hard to take anything the weatherpeople say seriously. Dave, thanks for that Mac tip. I'm going to try it too.

I guess in the back of my mind, I realize that a dog's life is relatively short compared to ours, or say, a tortoise, and I dread that day. I sort of wish she would leave behind a puppy but had her fixed. i don't know how anyone can handle the loss of a pet. They seem so human.

More farming today. Sunny and hot. [:D] [that was for PETim] Laz, would love for you and your classes to come down and build. One problem. If they are as big old boys as you, could not afford to feed them. [;)] Be cheaper to have one custom built by builders. Great pictures Dave and Jon. Speaking of UPS guys and dogs. Burg [the lab] goes crazy when the UPS man comes. Only person he has ever tried to bite. All have a great day and God bless all.

Good morning all,

beautiful day in Sunny SoCal. Could it be that Spring has arrived ?

Dave and Jon awesome pics of trains, cranes, and dogs.

Buckeye, nice video of trolley. Last time I was there, all the operators were wearing 60s clothes, had dreadlocks, and shiny spikey things coming out of their face. Love doing the trolley things on the hills.

Chief, are you going Canadian ????? Nice layout with multi track, you are my hope to expand my O train stuff, just put it down and run. Wooooo Wooooo.

Tom, the old and new contract is great.

All Mac users WAY TO GO. Glad shutterfly will work. Keep on posting.

Take care all,

Tim

Tim, chief, et al,

Yes, I'm here to annoy w/my newly found photo power

Dude misses his metro train…bummer

Caught on film

Train arrives

Dude charges down escalator, nearly knocking people over, then sprints across platform

But doors close before he makes it and train speeds off. Sounds like a personal problem dude, if you ask me.

Mornin' All.
Taking a coffee break, just finished hanging a ceiling fan. Have to echo the sentiments about pets, we had what was supposed to be shih-tzu but I believe he had something else mixed in there somewhere. He was my woodworking buddy, I could spend all day down there with the doors wide open and the only time he would move was to either lay in the sun or move to the shade. He was good friends with all of the drive-up folks whether it be fastfood or the bank, always finagled something to eat. It never seemed to fail that at the end of the day when cleaning up all the sawdust and debris he would wait til it was all swept into a nice pile to pick up with a dust pan and walk right thru the middle of it. Fortunately we kept him cut reasonably short.
It is amazing how much of an attachment you can develop to your pets, for this reason I have decided that NO MORE CRITTERS for us. It is easy to tell others, as we do, that it is just so much easier to travel when in fact you don't want to go thru the hurt again. [:(]

Morning bro's from Lemuria ( the base of beautiful Mt. Shasta ). As promised, it's going to be a beautiful day today. Gonna take the dog out for a nice long walk - he has a maximum case of cabin fever.

Buckeye: enjoyed your cable car vid. Where do you post your videos? I want to upload some.

Lehigh: cool pic of the NYC Mikes exiting the tunnel!

jonadel : nice log loader. Is it the MTH one or the Lionel AF one like the one I have? Love that accessory.

It is now 20 years since my beloved Molly's Maggie Magee, an Irish Setter passed on. I was out of town and when my wife called me to tell me the awful news, I cried like I never had cried before. [:(] She put the UPS man back in the truck one day when the infant daughter was in the front lawn. She loved to play in the deep snow and would often walk over the fence in the back yard, run to the front door and pound on the door to get back inside. [:)] Once they are gone, the memories seem never to fade. To all of you that have that special friend and pet, don't take it for granted.

BTW, I have seen Tom's Shutterfly Calendar and it is worth the money. Makes a great gift. [8D]
