Well, case done.  Have to go to the hospital pharmacy and pick up bride's meds.  Then, go pick up bride and we can early vote.  That will assure that I can vote regardless of the schedule Dec. 2nd.

Jack, I remember that terrible fire.  Have scene video of the operations and the search over several days for the guys.  I believe my old department sent a contingent  up for the funerals.  The whole city was shaken to the core.  We had lost 5, and when you are in the department, it is like loosing a brother.  You also become extremely aware of other line of duty deaths and they all bring back bad memories.  God Bless them, and the families left behind.

The Worchester 6.  I got notification on the dedication of the firehouse, wish I could have made the trip.

The bums that started that fire got out unhurt prior to the FD's arrival.  They were sentenced to prison for

arson and trespassing, 1 male & 1 female "urban outdoors-person".

Dennis will agree, in these times when you need real heros, they're not on TV, Firefighters, Police Officers and the Military.  That's who we should be looking to for inspiration.

I don't disagree, (my bil is retired Asst. Chief for LA County), but lest we forget the commoner...... that can't get those jobs, store clerks, factory workers (few left), joe plumber, and all the "average" folk.  That have the financial burden NOW on their shoulders, when most are just trying to feed, and house their families.

Befor you leave feedback remember it was USPS that sent it across the us 4 times not the shipper now for what they charged you to ship it they probably could of sent priority but they really did there part as they stated parcel post.

I personally don't understand folks doing it as normally its less than a dollar more to ship priority unless heavy or real large. then inmost cases its cheaper to send FedEx and its quicker and it automatically insures for the first $100.00 not $50.00

Now when can we expect to see pics of it ?

Buckeye Snoopy's on your tail, check your 8 0 clock position.

RI52- The new Williams run just like the ones Jerry W. made. Compared  to a Lionel F3? Much quietier and smoother but I love those Lionel F3s they are the classics, and still running after all these years.

Made it to Kroger, turkey and bread for stuffing in the freezer ready for next week. No trains today, just didn't get to them but my friend called and said some MTH arrived at the store but did not have a good memory about what came in.

Thats it for now, guess I'll have some banilla and wait for Brutus.....S.J.

Chief, do we need to sow GRITS in the cloud cover with the TARDIS?  I think Dennis, Roy and I can be there in a few minutes to help, lol!  Better put up that blue flag over city hall!  The one with just one star on it Wink

John (jefelectric) - as you can see, things are just the same as they ever were!

Mike - I'm in for zuchini bread and it's Doug's turn to drive, so we can hang out with the plasma tv in the big party room Laugh

RT - glad that you had that guy check all of your wiring, it's important to be safe!  My friend Larry had a house fire due to some bad wiring.

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Thanks for the help.  A good load of GRITS would do it in all that snohio.  Swell up and block traffic for days.  Buckeye and crew would not be able to get out of their houses as it would be higher than doors and windows.  Take em out.

And as for mouthy RT, he will never get back nawth of the Mason Dixon.  Got a contract out on him.

Happy Birthday John!  Hope it was great.

Chief, grits would be a good thing to drop, will foul their engines!

Was a bit on the chilly side...28 this morning.  I actually wore long pants for the first time since last winter (besides Sunday Church that is).  I even wore a jacket coming in.  well, all set and waiting on a patient.  Have a few cases that will keep me busy for the rest of the day.

Hope y'all have a good day.

God Bless,

Dennis

Good morning from sunny, but cold central North Carolina.  Temperature gauge said 25 degrees this morning.  Brrr!

Chief’s Osprey tale reminded me of a time when I was briefly on the USS Nashville.  We were setting up for a ceremony for some big wig when BOOM!  A F-14 had snuck in over us, pulled up, and lit the afterburners.  We looked up to see the jet climbing STRAIGHT up, spiraling.  Cool sight.  The amazing thing is that we never even heard it until it lit the afterburners.

A long, LONG time ago, I also remember our school being buzzed by a couple of A-10 Warthogs during recess.

Good morning all,

It is cold again in SE Indiana (would somebody please ask Kevin in Alaska to shut the door?).  Could be a long winter.  Did a bunch of "honey-do" items last night.  Wife completed CASA training last night and gets sworn in tonight.  She can torque Lucas up about being "an officer of the court' before he is (he still wants to be a police oficer).  Doug M did a nice job of driving the Tardis last night and the reception on the TV was great while watching "Dancing with the Stars".  Fixed one problem at work yesterday.  I had the regular fare on the dining car this morning.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana
