West Virginia was nice, and absolutely beautiful fall foliage between Oakland and Grafton.  Took some trackside pics for SPF.  Me and wifey may be getting closer to buying a piece of "almost heaven".  Need to make some inguiries tonight.

Evening all this is all new and snazy looking. Still miss looking at bottom of page and seeing who's in the coffee shop or the topic at the moment but this is nice and will get to enjoy it also.

Hey Kurt - I've got a little poison ivy on my arm, how are you doing?  We can't burn here, so I'm gonna airlift a bunch of this crap from down in my woods over to your house and we'll burn it there?  Then grab some banilla?

What the hell is this Staff doing. This software took me 7 tries and passwords to be able to post. no color option and font. This is worse than the last update.

Goodness, this software doesn't like this older Mac. OK, so after a lot of rooting around, I'm back...  Ready for the freakin' Tardis. Got a case of Blue Moon on ice.

So my commuter train passes Blommer Chocolate on the way into the downtown Chicago station. This morn, we swept around a long elevated curve you've seen in every photo of C&NW streamliners. On the elevated Burlington  main line, there's a siding that can hold up to 5 covered hoppers - today there was some action. Workers hopping around atop the hoppers were cinched into harnesses held by some cool looking cantenary, stirring the sugar in the hoppers with long poles. And on the second siding below, the UP was slding two more hoppers in a narrow track that actually fit like a glove between two rows of semi loads. What a modelicious scene!

So what happens when the little buttons under my photo all turn green - do I disappear in a puff of Lionel smoke?

Evening all,

Back home tonight from a mini-vacation in Tenn.  It was beautiful, as beautiful as Southern Ohio!

I had quite a shock when I tried to open up the site.  I do see a LOT more advertising space.  I'll try and catch up on the post tommorow.  DougM, glad you liked the Trolley I put in SPF.  I thought of you as I bought it and put it together.  Check in in the morning

May God bless

Jim

Doug, you are on!  I'll be by right after we burn something at a certain lakeside property (brush and some rotten wood and leaves from the woods, not a certain cabin!) and help you with that beverage!

Jim SP -- I really liked that trolley - it looks like S Gauge to me, right?  I'm doing a Halloween trolley layout this weekend with the kids.

I just got a message from Buckeye. He and Wes are sleeping outside by the gate to York. He must have lost his room. He needs someone to wake him at 5 AM.

Well, I notice Brutus found the font size and color for posting.  Chief found the font size too for posting.  You guys want to share the secret, or do I have to pay you first? Banged Head

Search function off to the right isn't working, missing a lot of history.  No? Banged Head

Select in profile "All posts by...." Nothing prior to 10/14/08.  No? Banged Head

Tags?  What are tags?

Edit notes?  What notes?

Just like back in school, I just want the answers to the quiz or the Cliffs Notes version. Banged Head

Hey all!  Everyone seems to be making it thru OK, havn't seen Doug dagrump, or Ray yet.  Came home tonight and worked on some train stuff while the debate was on.  Replaced a couple of tires on the Cab Forward, (which took awhile), then replace some marker lights on a NEW caboose.  All came about OK but took awhile.

Did talk to the Chief, but he had was done for the day when I called back.

Hope everyone has a great day.

I have not been on the forum for sometime and just by chance looked you all up.  New format is cool.  I have been doing some fishing and traveling.  Hope all is well.  I will try to participate in Sunday photos as time permits.  Smile
