Fife - feeling 100% today. Just got in from the chiropractor. She did the electrodes on the lower back, traction, stretching, and showed me some exercises to do at home and office. Go back on Wednesday and Friday, so I should be good for Saturday.

Was nasty this AM, rain, fog & mist then about 3PM, sun and breezy.  Weird weird weather...

Tested the CAB1 at the LHS, works.....TMCC at the house, not so good.  Powermaster works on conventional, no signal to the command base.  Command base NFG?  Hmmmmm, may take base back and check that.

Shipping the little one off tomorrow night....a little piece n quiet...!

See ya on the morrow

EVENING ALL

One of those rain events just past through so I waited till it was gone. I got a letter from the cable company today saying they were sorry for the outages last week. They said a power surge destroyed some equiptment that was suppose to be protected from that type of damage. They didn't offer a refund for the outage though. Ran some trains today as wifes five year old niece was here and that was her first request. Good people, only stayed about 90 minutes.

Brutus-if you get back on,butter pecan is gone, still got enough banilla and peach for Kurt and Doug, so come on over the rain has past for now.  S.J.

Rich,

Check that your command base is actually grounded correctly at the wall wort.  Old houses ( like mine ) didn't run ground wiring to electrical outlets ( don't trust a 3 prong outlet as proof there's actually a ground there ) so I tied a ground directly onto my house plumbing.  Made a world of difference in signal transmission.  No more run away engines!

Tonight my (lovely) wife and I watched the conclusion of the "Capture of the green River killer". As much as these types of shows bother me, (I get sincerly choked up), I wanted to see how it ended. (old news drifts far from our minds). Some of the girls were never found and to bring closure to some of the fanilies, they bargained for life without parole to gain confession and location of some of the victims. The Detective who worked for about 20yrs to solve these crimes, (Thank God DNA became a crime solver), still has difficulty talking about the case.

We are blessed to enjoy the life we're given.

Storm passed - nothing big going on today.  Watching Diners, Dives and Drive-Ins on Food channel while wife does the comb thing with daughter (yuck).  Found out I get to go hiking with boy scouts this Saturday (means no OT though).  Also, friend's son got hosed at the car show.  He had the only car in his class and so instead of grading the car, they switched him to another class without telling him?  Then, the first and second place winners had stock-cars (no improvements made or added by the owner) and were classed incorrectly?  He was promised a trophy, but it hasn't shown up yet....

One more day of meds for the feet, then I start some special exercises (if I can remember them).  Good night, SJ, KP, DM, and all yuz giz!

Rich aka anjdevil2;  As far as the weather in Jax, FL today-

                                       Sign - Ditto [#ditto]

Got my NYC Mohawk out of the display case tonight. It quit working a while back in the dining room and working from a step ladder is no way to try to fix an engine. Got it in the train room and let LEGACY reassign the ID number and I was back in business. The Mohawk is TMCC with Railsounds 5.0 and it runs very very well with LEGACY. The slow speed at step 1 is almost as slow as the GP-7!!!!

Also tried the record feature with the GP-7 and it is a fun feature to show off with.

Have a good evening evry one, a good night's sleep, and a good rest of the week.

Another busy day.

Bruce, my back engines in lashup [we call it lashup and the RRers call it MU'd] have sound.  Atlas and Lionel.  Now MTH did not but with a little playing with the program, they would too.  with the older PS2 MTH engines, set up lashup, then go back to that second engine, call it up, adjust the sounds with the remote and then go back to lashup.  All engines had sound.  Don't have any newer individual MTH engines that are mutipule powered A's.  Could have changed by now.

Bet no one has noticed I changed the banner on the "POT".  4 years old.

Got and are getting much needed rains.  More tomorrow.  1.8 inches since it started Sat.  Mostly this afternoon.  Pond was well up and rising fast.  Got big meal at Mudcats stadium tomorrow night and they are suppose to be doing a special batting practice.  May rain on them.  Now starting the great AMERICAN sport of BASEBALL. Big Smile [:D]

Off to bed.  Sleep tight and God bless all.

Can't sleep, ben thinkin bout them back engines, cause if it isn't in the back it still can be a lashup, now if the back engine is in front then it must be called a lashdown. cause if the back is in the back and its a lashup, then if the back is in the front it must be up .  Git it?  Now then I'm rite, mth or atlas, dosn't matter its all in where the back engine is.  Unless of course you got a different kinda engine in the front, (like the county commissior has) then the back engine is still in the back and the otherone in the front so it could be a lashover.  Then if the sheriff has his engine and its in the middle then we have a lash-up-down-over.   Git it?

Well I'm glad I got that all figured out.  Gotta git somer rest cause of the Mudcats coming over for special dinner, were starting off the season with a new field this year.  Using grit bags for bases, that way if were loosing our guys will just start chewing on them and noone can find them.  Get it?   Should be pretty good game, I think we will have a good season.

Off to bed again

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cloudy 60 degrees. Going up to 62 today, with a chance of rain.

There's some strange looking people posting from CA.

Today is a very busy day. Have a lot of running around to do. Drive into Cambridge, later. Shopping day. Gas is at $3.29.  No relief.

No time for trains today. Maybe tomorrow.

Dining car is here and it's time for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Tuesday.  All the Chiefs too.

Good morning from North Carolina, where it is another hot and humid day.  The old hound dog is laying under the porch with the three cats, two alive and one dead.  Mother has the wash going in the backyard and my tidy whities are swaying in the breeze.  I'm going to head to the pond for some carp fishing and check the still by the big rock.  Afterwards, I think I will take a ride in the town's limousine to check out the new rendering plant that we are building to beautify the town.

Might run my CSX locomotives tonight.  They are the best runners I got.  Those NS things never work right but I'm able to take some good photos of them standing still on the track.  Tomorrow I might go see Miss Edna and get some free trains to send to you poor Yankee's up nurth.

Have a good April Fool's Day.

This is a cruel Ap. 1 joke, it's snowing lightly here, Geeze Louise, will winter ever leave us?  I wanted to buy a new/bigger trailer today for our bikes as we are headed west this June and don't have the time to ride the really long days out and back but this snow may delay me a day. This is really getting old.

Mornin' Fellas.

HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY!!!!!

BTW - Today 3 years ago I met Susieq for the first time. We met on eHarmony in February, but it took me 1.5 months to work up the nerve to ask her to meet in person. It's been downhill ever since! Smile [:)] Maybe I'll take her to our restaurant tonight for dinner.

Feel MUCH better today. The back isn't as tight as it had been, but still some low level pain. I think I need a new chair at work. Will discuss this with Chiropractor tomorrow.

Rich - On your TMCC. If your LHS has a test track, ask him if you can bring everything in (TMCC engine, Cab-1, powermaster, and command base) and set it up. This will help you identify what is wrong (he may even let you hook up different components to see if yours are faulty) one of my LHS offered this when I was having issues (brain cramps).

BTW - Where the heck has Wes been?

Forgot to mention this yesterday.

I emailed ERR about the Dockside Switcher upgrade and they are no longer selling it. The reason being it was deemed too complicated an upgrade so it was dropped, and there are no plans to recreate one. So I emailed TAS and they have a TMCC upgrade, but their Dockside Switcher cruise upgrade has been discontinued. I'll be doing the TMCC upgrade, not sure if I'll do the whistle upgrade though (can't get sound in the DS).

So just and FYI that both ERR and TAS are still in business, and responding to emails... it just takes them a bit of time to respond.

Now Don, after having read, and re-read your post, I was wondering:  What would happen if those same lashup and down engines were going in reverse?  What would you call it?  And, would there be a difference if they were going backwards up a hill or down a hill?  This is all so confusing.

Chief, enjoy your trip in the Limo.  Hope that rendering plant is down wind of the outhouseWink [;)]

We are due for thunderstorms for the next several days.  They have started a new reverse 911 system for the area to notify everyone of severe weather, etc.  I have yet to cut up that last tree that fell in the yard.  I guess I will have to get to that before too long.  Not really noticeable as it is a ways from the house, but don't want to have a place for vermin to hide/live.

Hope Y'all have a good day and by all means, Grits aren't just for breakfast!Dinner [dinner]

God Bless,

dennis

Good morning all,

The weather is suppose to clear off, but get cooler today if that makes any sense with the highs in the 50s and dropping to the 30s in SE Indiana.  Strange weather.  I went grocery shopping, reviewed another scholarship application and did weights at the YMCA.  They are having a contest where you get an entry slip for every 25 30 minute visits  you make to the YMCA thru the rest of the year.  First prize is a week's stay at a condo near Lake Michigan.  Second prize is two weeks' stay at a condo near Lake Michigan.  Third prize is a trip to Rolesville, NC....one way.  OK maybe the last two were just kidding.  I wonder how much my monthly fees will go up to pay for those deals :-(  We also watched "Deal or No Deal" last night.  My wife was feeling kind of puny Sunday night in to Monday, but now is doing better.  I had just the regular fare today, and I have two meetings this morning back to back.  Oh, goody!  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

What if the back engine is in front and the front engine is in back and the consist is between them? Would it then be called the Dog and Cat train? Confused [%-)]

Am I the only opne to notice that "The Chief's photo" is poppping up on other peoples post as their photo?  Hopefully this is just an April Fool's joke!!  If not I will contact Jimijo a.k.a. Jaabat and see what the solution is.

Morning all from overcast but warm Southern Ohio,

Happy Aprils Fools day.  I have the two grandaughters today.  Their Mom is sarting a new job and I was available to watch them.  We have put puzzles together and colored pictures so far.  I am going to try and go out and play with them outside and pick up the tree trimmings from yesterday, we'll see how that goes.  Got to go

May God bless

Analog phones are powered at the central office, not house power.  It's a good idea to have at least one analog phone in your home incase the power goes out and you don't put your chordless phones on a UPS.  You can also sign up to get paged or emailed on many of those systems as well, and probably have it call a cell phone for people who do not have a house phone at all.

Well, Last night I got a call out of the blue from Schumacher Racing.  Seems someone told them I used to be a great bracket racer from up North.  On the phone for about an hour.  Talked to the Shoe hisself.  They need a ProStock test driver for their new Mopar.  I leave for Texas MotorPlex Thursday for testing.  Good gig, may debut in September in Reading, PA for REAL NHRA racing.  Put all the trains on eBay, as well as the cars.  REAL FAST MOPARS!!

Told the wife I was leaving, she's staying in FL.  My parents were shocked that I was leaving the family.  Geez, I got a major shot for driving full time.  Left work and burned that bridge too.  I'llbe in touch.  Have a great one, fellas, it's been fun!

and if you beleved that one..I got a bridge in Brookyn...
