Evening all

On wonderful night shift.  It is to snow tonight so it may make for an interesting drive home.  It was nice today but cold.  Got home this morning and was still wound up so I put some ladder brackets in the garage for my 32' extension ladder and my 14' step ladder to get them up out of the way, then replaced a section of chain link fence I had to take down for construction.  We can now let the dog out with out worrying about her.  She is blind and gets lost easy.

Happy Birthday Buckeye.  Hope your B day is meeting your expectations.  Any new train items?  Did I tell you I stopped at Smoke Stack and picked up a caboose?

All take care and may God bless

Jim

Town Board meeting over.  Time for popcorn.

Buckeye has a birthday.  No such thing.  He was not born but hatched.

Happy Birthday old buddy.   Brent, you can never be put on anyone's safe list. Whistling [:-^]  Later.

John,
Those are perfect! I'll have to compare the price with what I found from Mouser.

It looks like I'm going to be putting out quite a bit for electrical components, 3 more SC-2s, and wire for switches. I keep forgetting that I have plenty of 14 gauge wire so I won't need any additional wire for the power feeds.

I'll be thinking this over for a while before I jump on anything.

Hey question for you fellas... when wiring your layouts how did you transition from the thicker main trunk wire to the power drops to the track? I found some 14 gauge house wire I would like to use as the feeders, but can't figure out how to go from that to the 18 gauge power drops... Also, does anyone know where I could get these cheaper? http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103230&cp=2032058.2032231.2032289&parentPage=family

Brent, How about these?  They have a wide variety, check them out.

Brutus- I got you covered today if you can drag yourself out. Chips, A & W rootbeer, banilla, peach, strawberry, and butter pecan, and some of those cookies with chocolate stripes on top.

Its been a cold windy day with some sun ,temp made it to 22. we have until friday before it might hit 30. My last bay buy arrived today the metal marx NKP caboose. so that finishes the little train and I used a 666 for the engine. looks nice. strange how when that stuff was sold in the old five and dime, I would walk buy and just give them the look. I'll be back afor bed..S.J.

Happy Birthday Buckeye! Happy B-Day [bday]  Many happy returns (to the layout)!  First day of training down, 5 to go.  Thanks for the trivia question idea Doug!  That helped a lot.  Worn out and need to print out some stuff for tomorrow, so TTFN (maybe time for Banilla?)

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Buckeye:  Sorry... I Didn't forget about you....BiL was off on a fishing trip...He stays in Cedar River, MI.  There's only one motel there, about 1-hour from Bays du Noch...He doesn't remember the name.

If you can let me know when you are planning to fish out there he can give you some GPS coordinates for that time of year.

I was there yesterday, but I think that is George's day off.  I didn't go in last week because everything was on sale and I would have bought stuff I shouldn't have.  My worst fear is that they actually get some MTH stock on the shelves...

Today, I made an offer on too much house.  We will see if they bite.

Happy B-day again!

Greetings from a sub-sub-zero Chicago where my class is wrapping up another assignment in the lab.

Buckeye, I saw Jerry in the elevator. He says hi and why won't you return his phone calls. He's got the corn oil, licorice, ribbon, and carpet tacks you requested.

Well, Buckeye, Roy in Texas has been bugging me to be a member. He's ok. Lives in NORTHERN Texas. He doesn't like the South anyway. AND, he hates Grits.

Now, the other guy is Sir James. He's ok. Lives in Michigan. Now, don't lose it on that note. There are some good people in Michigan. He hates football, anyway.

Just got home from the salt mines.  Thanks for all the great birthday greetings.  I noticed the Chief has not wished me a Happy Birthday.  I suppose he is still upset about that email I sent to the captain of the cruise ship.  The captain emailed back that they found him with his sunglasses and white cane on the top deck checking out the au naturel sunbathers.    Well, he at least learned how to operate indoor plumbing on this trip.  Big Smile [:D]

Chief...I think you will look great on the Jerry Springer Show.  Make sure you act crazy enough to make it into the best of shows.  You will get more appearance money that way.Laugh [(-D]

Chuck...Now who wants to be in OTTS?  Why? Are they flush with money worthy? I am still waiting for my bribes the membership dues from several others.

Wes...Where were you at today?  George said you hadn't been in the store for a week.  They have a nice set of Williams Sharks for sale.

Fife...Were you at the Potomac Narrows where the train runs through the Chute?

I think Buckeye is toasting the occasion with a few Hudepoles and trying to change his signature from "over the hill" to "finely seasoned."  Rumor has it this morning he ran out and bought some "Just For Men" and "Propecia" but doesn't like the blonde highlights.

Happy B-Day, Buckeye!  Happy B-Day [bday]

Happy Birthday Buckeye!

Brent:  Use tap splices to go from the main to the feeder.

Also try http://www.allelectronics.com/ for the terminal strips.  They have the european and dual row strips.

Ran trains with the youngest!  Looks like I need to tear things up and re-wire.  Some slow spots.  I think I'll add a layer of the sound stop too.
