Roy-Chief-88 (et al) - Feel a little easier now, stopped by the local station house and read where 1/2 dozen other local homes had similar happenings...at least not being singled out...

Good morning folks!

It is good to have the kids home and accounted for. They are sleeping like the proverbial "log.'

The game now is when will they wake up????

Beautiful day here today. Sunny. 70's predicted I think, low 60's right now.

Fifer - keep yer guard up!

Chuck - gas here is ranging from $3.17 for Reg to $3.49 for Prem. I would rather have the price high than to have to wait in hour+ long gas lines like we did in the late 70's.

Have a great day all!

Regards, Roy

88, how did interview go???  G'Son gone with the women [G'Mom, Mom and GG'Mom].  His Mom is probably scared G'Dad will give him Coke, let him play in dirt and roam the backyard.  A little older [only 11 months] and he will be doing all of that and fishing.  Really windy so windchill is rather low.  Have to bundle up.  Later

Chief... good choice - skip meeting and spend time with Grandson! You can put him in the tractor with ya and get all your yard and garden work done with him! And he'll probably have a blast with you as well. Thumbs Up [tup]

Morning all. What's with this software this morning? Doesn't want to let me post - maybe a subtle message from CTT.

RT, good luck!

Sir James, sounds like your bride had a nice birthday. My bride's big day is coming up in a few weeks - for once, she is buying a few things she likes for me to give her - instead of my usual guessing - wrong. Hope you can clean out the stuff for the new windows - isn't it too cold to put them in yet?  Brutus, hope you're still resting your feet.

Roy, glad everyone's home in the family. Our spring break begins Fri - don't really have plans for the boys yet - maybe take them into the city one day to work with me.

Can you believe we're supposed to get 5-6 inches of snow overnight? And the daughter leaves for France in the morning - at least I don't have to drive her to the airport - just the high school.

That 'casing' sounds scary. Great reason to have a big barky dog.

Hope to get some train running later today. I have all these coffee stirrers and dowels I have dyed brown - what could I make out of them? Maybe a team track or small 'halt' shed. Any suggestions?

Yum, good "day off work" coffee!  Have a dvd to watch (The Tunnel) and some calls to make later.  Spiders are coming out of the woods, so I guess Spring is near!  One just waived at me from the wall behind the tv.  Kids didn't notice, so it's okay!  Need to see if I can get the truck serviced tomorrow.  Oh, hope my train station shows up today!  Good luck on the windows, Sir James.  Glad to hear all is well Roy.  Fife - you need a sign: This House protected by COLT.

Type to you later (TTYL)

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a clear and sunny 34 degrees. Going up to 41 today, with sunshine.

I have a busy day ahead of me. Grocery shopping in Cambridge and throwing up at the Shell station. Gas is at $ 3.39 a gallon. I have seen it as high as $3.51 , recently. At least it isn't raining. Ground is a soggy mess. No train time today. Darn.

Well, Dining car rolled in from " points west " and there was enough left to have breakfast.

Y'all have a great Thursday.

I've been working on my post for 45 minutes and keep accidentally hitting the 'backspace' button and ditching my post! Banged Head [banghead] Guess I Mitchitis this morning. Shock [:O]Big Smile [:D]

I got the rest of the existing second level ceiling tiled last night and 1/3 of it carpet padding roadbeded. Will finish the carpet padding tonight, and get the power and switch drops in. Then tomorrow MAYBE I will FINALLY remember my stinking Home Despot Gift cards from my B-Day and be able to stop and pickup some more supplies. I need to get some power bars so I do the power distribution area under the control panel. I'm thinking of using the power bars from inside circuit panels for the distribution. Since I only need 6 of them it won't be too expensive.

Lets see if I can keep my fingers off the dreeded backspace key this time!

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the high 40s and the rain is temporarily stopped.  I did some slow trackwork last night and built with my "new" set of brick blocks.  The projects always take longer than expected.  Was finally able to turn sump pump off.  Finished a big project at work yesterday and start on a new one today.  I had the last load of bran muffins today on the dining car from "Points East".  Thanks for the new pot of coffee, Jim.  I see in another post where reggie is getting out of O-gauge.  I hate to see that happen as he is an interesting character (which is saying something considering the rest of the crew here).  Chief, I would be happy to send you some good Hoosier rain, but it does not seem to want to cross the Ohio river.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

I'll put on a fresh pot to help keep awake all night!

Good morning all from wet Southern Ohio, where it is still raining and the river is still rising.

Thanks for all the kudus on the job anniversery.  I am truly blessed to have had the job I've had for so many years.  On nights and this is the last night for this cycle.  It will be good to be off because Thursday Friday and Saturday are going to be special services at church and they will go late into the evening each night.

Pots done brewing, so going to pour myself a cup and go check on the guys

May God bless

Jim

Late evening all!

Well the daughter finally made it home at midnight. The trip via Atlanta got canceled first thing this am, so we all spent the day looking for options. Obtained trips (some direct , some via connections in Chicago, Nashville, Washington Dulles, etc.) for all back to DFW, so no OKC drop offs. Got all but 2 of the kids and 3 adults home tonight. One adult and 2 kids still in NY, but have a relative there to spend the night with. Two adults got stuck in Wash Dulles airport and are spending the night there. All remaining are on first flights in the am. Son made it home OK on the bus from Colorado. Long day today. Hope to sleep late in the morning. Kids have rest of week off, so I do not expect to see them before 2-3 pm tomorrow. They have not had much rest the last 24-36 hours but they are in good spirits.

Have a great day tomorrow all!

Regards, Roy

EVENING ALL

WE  had some rain early today but most of it stayed south of us. Took the wife to lunch but ate too much almond chicken. Two big plates of food w/rolls and tea, Total bill $10.87. That was at noon and I'm still full, no banilla tonite. No trains today either. Busy day tomorrow afternoon as we are getting some new windows installed. Not the entire house, bought some a few years ago and now some more. Just what I can pay for is the way I do it. Later S.J.

Just in case, goodnite Chewy.

Good evening, folks!  Well, we got over 10 inches of rain in the past few days - glad it wasn't snow!  RT - Great news on the exam!  Prayer wheel is spinning for you!  John, take it easy man.  Let the back heal up before you overdo it again.  Doug, sounds like fun - train time is always fun, right?!  When it's not making me pull my hair out because something doesn't work the way it "should"!  LOL  Son made dinner, mac and cheese with hotdogs.  He found the hotdogs in the freezer.  I think they were "laid down" in about 1998?  Freezer burn!  :(
