Dan, Thanks for getting things going with the coffee and donuts. CW decided to "Sleep In" this morning and put me in charge of breakfast. (LOL) All the "normal stuff"
is out on the warmer bar, but I think we'll do what Mook said/asked, and have "Breakfast Pizzas" for this morning; they're on the way.
(All the usual toppings, except slightly "downsized" for early morning.)
Zardoz, Thanks for waking everyone up, I'm sure we ALL needed that!!
Mookie, hope wall works out well for all concerned.
May need it!!!!!
//Edit: Joe sounds good, now could you please help me out in the kitchen so
we can have those, they're what I was attempting to do.

And yet another reason!
The sugar content is enough to make chickens fly!
Good morning, everyone! Yes, I think I'm finally awake this morning. Had another bad night sleeping (or rather, bad night of not sleeping. Woke up at 12:30 this morning, and couldn't go back to sleep until 5:30 this morning. Slept until 6:30, then went back to sleep about 7:45, and slept until 9:45. So Mookie, say "Hello" to "Mrs. tailzadraggin #2.
For lunch, I've made the following pizzas, especially for Mookie: Canadian bacon, Hawaiian, pepperoni/mushroom/sausage and supreme. I only fixed two of each kind, but as per Saturday Pizza Fest routine, they are extra large, so that should be enough for our lunch crowd.
Everyone have a good afternoon, and let me know if anyone has a special request for supper tonight, please.

Please save a couple slices of that Canadian bacon for me. I'll be in after I get off work this afternoon.

You can never have too much pizza. It's a staple for feeding the volunteers (and staff) at the PBS merchandise auction. Get to sample different shop's versions, too.
Didn't leave the studio until about 12:15 this morning - made for a short night's sleep. First shift of volunteers was - a law firm. They did well. Second shift was the local Barbershop Chorus, so we got a serenade!
Class tonight, then maybe a little more sleep than last night!

Good Afternoon!
Not much going on here in Omaha this afternoon. We've been in a really nice stretch of weather and it looks like that should continue. There are some rain chances, but I think there'll be enough dry hours in-between the rain to keep things pretty nice.
The pizza for lunch was delicious, CW! It was kind of nice having pizza on a weekday and not just on Saturday evenings.
As for Gatorade: I think the stuff is disgusting. I've just never liked it! Sometimes my dad drinks it, which I really can't figure out. I don't typically associate Gatorade with people in their early 60s!
Willy
...Gatorade.....Not sure what age would have to do with it...Isn't it a drink to give one a boost in energy.

I use gatorade during the summer or water to cool off at work.pepsi and summertime heat don't mix.yes the weather is getting nicer and matt is looking at the new map we found of fostoria.only 2 more days of work.

A common rapid rehydration regimen for firefighters is two bottles of water and a bottle of sports drink (12 oz sizes!). Especially for those fires where your bunker gear is wetter on the inside than it is on the outside....
It's a lot better for you than those soda's where caffiene is the first ingredient listed (just before the high fructose corn syrup...)

When surveying in the summer heat, a 2 gallon jug of the stuff does not last long...Went through a half gallon today of the blue stuff. Heat prostration is not fun.
I guess I was wrong! It's just that I usually notice young people drinking it, not people that are middle-age and older.
I know Gatorade is healthier than pop, but I prefer cold water over either Gatorade or pop.

I'm very glad to hear that everyone enjoyed having pizzas for lunch today. Maybe I'll alternate the day of the week, to include pizza on the menu, along with Saturday nights.
Joe, got some pizza in a container in the fridge, for you to take to work tonight.
Now, for tonight's supper, you will find on the warmer bar: tuna melt casserole, BLTs w/fries, burgers, cheese burgers, onion rings, and for dessert: strawberry cheesecake, banana pudding, chocolate cake, and white cake w/white icing , and grape Jell-O w/sliced peaches and pears mixed in the Jell-O.
Wow. Sure is quiet in here tonight.

Good morning everyone. It appears that I am the first one in the Diner here this morning. I've got the coffee brewing and the orange juice is ready for pouring. CW must be sleeping in this morning, so I will take charge of serving breakfast. Haven't done that in a while.
On the menu for breakfast this morning: bacon, pork sausage links, scrambled eggs, ham slices, blueberry pancakes, french toast, english muffins topped with all kinds of good stuff, and bananna nut muffins, fresh out of the oven!
Ray CANADIANPACIFIC2816
Ray that was C&Os attempt to keep steam alive.at least it wasn't scrapped.thanks for making breakfast this morning .need to go to town later and mow some grass.
Jay, Nice Pics. of # 490!! I've got a picture of her that I took in 1968 when she was still in the roundhouse at Huntington, Wv.
Ray, be very careful about calling that engine ugly, if you want to see ugly, check out
one of 490s sisters(494) that never had the streamlined jacketing applied. If you want
to call something ugly, that would be the one!!
CW isn't sleeping in today and will be in after just a bit. She's been up a bit longer than me, and has been helping me get ready for a long road trip via a Greyhound.
She'll provide details when she does come in.
Safe travels, LM.
Here's an ugly loco for you-
They couldn't of picked worse colors.
Good Thursday morning, everyone. Ray, thanks so very much for taking care of breakfast duties this morning. No, I didn't sleep in: woke up at 5:50, got Mutt up at 6:10, and made breakfast for us.
Mutt is on his way to the Greyhound Bus Station, to go to Huntington, W VA. Because:
SARAH GRADUATES FROM CSX CONDUCTOR TRAINING SCHOOL TOMORROW!!
We felt that someone should be there, to see her graduate, so we decided that he should go, and represent her family and ours. After her graduation tomorrow morning, they will be heading home here to Louisville. Then, next week, she starts two week field training in Atlanta, GA, and will be returning here afterwards, to work at CSX's Osborn Yard.
Think I'll start planning a Congratulatory Dinner celebration for tomorrow night in the Diner. Of course, everyone is invited!! There will be plenty of chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream for everyone!!
Since it's a rainy day today, I've got a big ole pot of beef stew simmering on the stove top, and around 11 a.m. EDT, I'll be putting cornbread in the oven to bake for lunch. Making enough stew for us to have it for supper tonight, also. Along with a garden salad
Everyone have a great morning, and try to stay as dry as possible, if your area is getting rain.
