Jen.....Oh, those are the programs I love on TV....Sometimes I catch them by chance.  Have not seen the one of moving the bridge but will keep a lookout for it as a rerun in the future.

Right after I retired in the past decade, I witnessed a large building constructed of masonary, and wood construction being moved here in Muncie at Ball State Un. grounds, to down the street and they had to negoticate a 90 degree turn on a street {after cutting down a few trees, moving some utilities, etc....That was exciting....and I had the free time to be present {with camera}, for several days to watch...What fun....Even was interviewed by a local radio station as to what I found so interesting, etc....They {the movers}, were successful and got it placed about a 1000' away to it's new location and perfect position right over it's new foundation. It {basement}, was filled with sand until the building was rolled in place and then the sand removed out of the basement and so on....

Working on the lunch menu for today:  you'll have your choice of:  spaghetti w/meatballs, sghetti w/meat sauce, garlic Texas toast, garlic bread, made from scratch beef noodle casserole, and there will be plenty of garden tossed salads and strawberry Jell-O w/diced peaches in it, and some homemade oatmeal-raisin cookies, chocolate chip cookies, brownies w/chopped nuts.

CW, if you would like a little help in making spaghetti sauce, I will gladly do it for you. I made myself a pot of spaghetti sauce yesterday afternoon and it smelled so good while it was simmering in my crock pot. I might even e-mail my recipe to you and Mutt. Chef [C=:-)]

Dan, I think I made enough of everything for an army (or half a batallion), so there's PLENTY of everything on today's menu for EVERYBODY!!

As for cold beverages, we have the usual soft drinks, iced tea (sweetened & unsweetened), lemonade, limeade, fruit punch, grape Kool-Aid.    So, everyone just fill your plates, and fill your tummies!!

I am so glad the chicken is back, I will have CW serve the new purple as-pra-gus!

Mooks is afraid of heights, so must contract out the net!  Did you show your flying license instead of your drivers license at Dulles?

BNSF must have been early celebrating your return - they ran everything they had all nite.  Nothing to watch all day Sunday!

Wow - busy weekend.  Had to be at work at 0330 Saturday (did I already say that?), so spent the rest of the day resting up for my shift at PBS.  Six half hour camera shifts and still had time to buy a CD set of folk-rock music.  Good listenin'!!!

Sunday I got a little work done around the house before heading back to the TV station.  Today it was work, and a meeting tonight, then work tomorrow and back to the TV station again.

Note to self - Stop and take a breath.....

Still studying for rules classes on Saturday and Sunday - then I'll be a real railroader....

Dan, should we all "Chip In" and get you a set of "Training Wheels"? Mischief [:-,]

Good Luck, you'll do well. (personally, the only "two wheelers" I like to ride;

are bicycles!!)

Willy, Good Luck on getting your permit!  That's a great start for learning  MUCH MORE responsibility, and having some freedom at your age.

(just learn how to use a "Standard Shift" also, there are too many people in this "Day & Age"

that can't drive a "stick"!) Sad [:(]

Willy, I'm totally remise in not saying earlier, that I also wish you Good Luck on getting your learner's permit.  I am very confident that you will pass it, and be a very good, safe driver.

Good Tuesday morning, everyone.  Looks like another beautiful day today.  Now, let's hope I can stay awake, after getting only 5 hours sleep.  Feel like I could conk out right now.

Coffee is ready, fresh juice is made (oj, oj/tangerine, grape), and have hot tea for anyone who wants it this morning.

On the breakfast bar you will find:  turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, fresh cantaloupe, watermelon, mushmelons and grapefruit, French toast, blueberry muffins, bear claws.

Everyone have a good morning, and I'll see everybody after Produce Tuesday is over.

Good morning!

I think I'll do fine with driving. And of course I'll be as safe and responsible as I possibly can be.

Nice weather today through the end of the week with highs in the 70s each day.

Off to school. TTFN.

Anybody seen Ms Mook today? I was just wondering if she would like a fresh cup of Hot coffee, instead of the Now Cold coffe that's in her cup that was fixed earlier.

CW will be in after a bit for the lunch menu; after produce, she had to do a "Store" trip to make sure the Diner had/has everything needed. (Plus a few more things)

(I think she has a surprise planned for all, especially "cheese lovers") Wink [;)]

Yes, I'm back from Produce and from the grocery.  We had two produce trucks today:  one with the regular produce, and another one that delivered cases of orange juice and the Babybel all natural mini cheese.  We also got new red potatoes, lettuce, cantaloupe and strawberries.

On the food bar, you will find:  tuna salad sandwiches, roast beef sandwiches, turkey sandwiches and bologna & cheese sandwiches.  And there's plenty of potato chips on the counter, to go with the sandwiches

Jumbo chocolate covered strawberries and individual mini cheese for everyone who wants them, for dessert.

Now, I'm off to the couch or the recliner (whichever is unoccupied) for a NAP!!!!!

I am lazy today.  Too much effort to type.

Saw the neighbor cat wander through our yard with a dead mouse hanging from it's "mouf"....kinda ruined my appetite....

Good evening, all.  Guess it's about supper time, so here's the menu for tonight:

Fried chicken, fried pork chops, mashed taters w/gravy, green peas, creamstyle corn, baked potatoes, cole slaw, tossed salad, and homemade buttermilk biscuits.

For dessert tonight, we've got some chocolate covered strawberries and Baby Bel cheese, and strawberry cheesecake.

Joe and Lance, there are containers in the fridge, for you two for work tonight.

Thought I'd hit the lights and get the warmer bar powered up.  Where's everyone been?  Wait...it's warm outside!  DUH!  Well here's some cold beverages and donuts to tide people over until the chef comes in!  Enjoy!

^?  The weather cooled off to 50 last nite.  Windows open and, of course, didn't want to get out of bed this morning!  Mrs. Tailzadraggin' here!

Landlord putting a new wall out front.  He and son are doing the work - spend a lot of the time disagreeing about how it should be done.  They are both perfectionists (Dad even more than son) and our property sits on the side of a hill.  Better than tv to sit in the upstairs window and observe them working.

I think I have the summer doldrums and it...well, fill in the blanks!

Let's skip breakfast this morning and go straight for the pizza!  Thumbs Up [tup]
