Good morning!

You know, I used to brag in my younger days about being able to eat my age in dollar-size (3-4") pancakes.  I think I finally gave up that goal when I hit 28.  I'll stick to four today.

Looks like it's going to be a GORGEOUS day here today, so I think I'll make myself scarce until late tonight.  TTYL...

Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Joe, thank you for fixing pancakes and sausage this morning.  That sounds really good, this morning!  Think I'll take two pancakes w/syrup, and two sausages.  Woke up on the hungry side this morning.  That doesn't happen too often with me.

Brian, you're so right:  it does look like it's going to be a beautiful day!  Here, we only have a 30% chance of rain for this afternoon.  So guess we had better enjoy it, before any rain does come in.

Joe, hope the field does dry up enough for Matt's game today!!

Everyone take care, and have a great day!!

.....It is a beautiful day here in central Indiana too....and is forecast to be very nice at least through Wednesday.  Warmer temps to go along with much sunshine.

This  will be another mowing day....Enjoy doing that when it's nice and sunny and everything is so pretty and Spring looking.....Must make nice straight rows to contribute making it all look nice.  Temps now 55.8 but it will gain much by this afternoon.

Yes, Lance, the pizzas are now ready.  On the warmer bar, you will find:

1.  anchovie
2.  Canadian bacon
3.  cheese
4.  Hawaiian
5.  goetta
6.  pepperoni/mushroom/sausage
7.  supreme
8.  And apple and strawberry pizzas for dessert

Decided I'd better get the menu posted, BEFORE the storms come in.  According to our local tv station's web weather site, we're in for thunderstorms from 6 to 9 p.m.  So we'll see how true that's going to be.

Enjoy your pizzas and take care!

And Lance, thanks for the two liters!!

CW - Taking a look at the radar for your area and some other forecasts, I would say that you're not going to get any rain this evening. The chance is there, but it looks really slim.

It was 80 degrees here in Omaha today. Highs in the upper 80s are expected tomorrow with 90s on Monday before things cool back into the 70s for Tuesday and beyond. If we hit 90 tomorrow and Monday, we'll break some record highs, so it will be interesting to see what happens.

Good Sunday morning, everyone!  To quote Mr. Rodgers, "It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood!!"  Willy, yep, we got narry a drop of rain last night.  We did have a good breeze, though, and they postponed the Derby Festival Balloon Glow for last night.

Joe, thanks for putting the coffee on and making fresh juice.

On the breakfast bar, you will find:  pancakes, sausages, scrambled eggs, fried taters, homemade biscuits, sausage gravy, turkey bacon, and there's some leftover pizza from last night, also.

Everyone have a beautiful morning, and I'll see ya out on the patio, watching the tracks.

Can I put in a request for a mushroom and cheese omlette?

Cloudy skies here in the east. At least trees are finally starting to bud out here. Can't wait for real greenery.

LC, here's your mushroom & cheese omlette.

I've put some snacks out on the counter:  Sunday Dinner won't be ready unitl about 2:30 EDT:  I'm getting ready to fire up the gril, for a cookout this afternoon.  I've got steaks, burgers, brats, hot dogs, pork chops in marinades right now;  also fixing cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans, green beans, and brocolli casserole.  And we'll also have corn on the cob, and grilled chicken quarters.  All the regular list of desserts are on for today.

Can anyone think of anything I've forgotten on our cookout list?  If so, PLEASE remind me!!

Hope everyone's enjoying today's beautiful weather.  Joe, sure sounds like you all are enjoying the day, and seeing plenty of trains!!  There's a plate in the fridge for you for tonight, and Lance, if you want it, there's one for you, also!!  Just look for your names on the containers.

Got some more meats off the grill, and on the warmer bar, so if anyone is ready, start helping yourselves.

Well, I got behind the wheel of a car for the first time this evening. I drove it around at my uncle's farm for a bit. I got used to it pretty fast. The first time around I almost took out his windmill, but there weren't anymore problems after that. My mom and dad say I can get my learner's permit later this week, so pretty soon I'll be driving around town.

It was 89 degrees today and we're looking at a high in the 90s tomorrow, so the heat is on!

Good luck on learning how to drive, Willy.  I've only been doing it since I was about eight or nine on the farm, and have never owned a car with an automatic.  In about a month I'll be training for my Class A CDL, and will go drive semi for a living.  Had to get a backup plan because of possible layoffs where I currently work, and now my truck is having problems, anyone out there familiar with the Bosch VP44 injection pump?

Got up to 84 today, took the opportunity to walk along the shore of lake Monona and take some pics of the Madison skyline, hopefully will send some out shortly if anyone wants any.

See everyone later.

Good Monday morning, to everyone.  I hope everyone had a very good weekend.  Let's hear about your weekend.  Ours was very quiet, hardly anything going on around here.

Coffee and hot tea are ready, along with fresh squezzed o.j.

Regular breakfast menu is ready and waiting on the warmer bar.

Everyone have a good morning, and I'll see you all later, after I get totally awake.

Good thing my teeth are in good shape - My face disappears regularly behind a yawn!  Makes typing hard to do.

Quentin - I saw probably an old show on Extreme Movers - they moved a truss bridge in KCMO to Union Station - from over the railroad tracks yesterday.  Saw UP, BNSF, NS and Triple Crown - is that the one?

Very impressive.

Must find some coffee.....

We had a fantastic weekend here in CR, so much so that I am extremely stiff and sore this morning.  Alot of that is due to spending time UNDERNEATH our bedroom addition Saturday (crawl space), ripping out wet insulation thanks to a leak in our shower drain.  Yesterday was spent ringing handbells at church, then mowing the jungle and preparing for and hosting a social for our small group from church.

I'm looking forward to Friday- my wife has a training meeting over in Bellevue that she needs to attend, but she can't drive herself with her bum knee, so I'm taking the day off to chauffeur.  While she works, I get to hang around the Dubuque area, camera at the ready...
