Got a different menu for supper tonight:  beef noodle casserole (includes mixed veggies with the casserole), burgers, cheeseburgers & fries will be fixed upon request, along with some fried chicken, mashed taters and milk gravy w/homemade buttermilk biscuits, creamed corn, and stewed tomatoes, broccoli and sweet green peas.

You all fill your plates, and sit inside the Diner, or go out to the patio!  Beautiful evening, with a very nice breeze blowing!!

Joe and Lance, containers are in the fridge, ready for you guys to take to work tonight!!

Also plenty of cake, cobblers and ice cream for dessert tonight!!

Good Tuesday morning to everyone.  Going to be another hot and humid day, at least around our area, anyway.  Probably around a few other areas, as well, right?

Coffee is on, and fresh juices, iced tea and lemonade are freshly made.  Gatorade ready also!

On the warmer bar is the regular breakfast menu, along with fresh fruit in the cooler.

You all have a good morning, and I'll be back after I get finished with Tuesday Produce.

Ah Willy - Must be busy, so I will fill in with our local weather report for August 20/21.

Hot and muggy all day - low 90's high humidity all day.  Early evening - very cloudy, usual rain, hail and wind nonsense all over tv.

Had a nice summer storm:  rain - not sure how much, since it was raining sideways and it is always hard to measure that way.  Gentle breeze - up to 83/84 mph - from the NSEW - golf balls the size of hail, and 25% of the city w/o power.  All over in about 30 min.

Biggest problem was all the electric meters pulled out of houses and lines down in trees starting fires.  But looks pretty normal this morning.

I couldn't figure out what caused this odd weather phenom - then I remembered - it is State Fair Time!  Cool [8D]

Hmmm - this weather reporting isn't all that hard.  Think I covered it all.

(Kudos to our fire and police - they were all over the place with calls and handled everything admirably - even boats on our local lake that were placed upside down. Not sure why you would store your boat upside down in the water....makes them hard to get into.....and they leak.  Will investigate that one!)

Well, we have have plenty of rain, right off the bat this morning:  it was raining (and I didn't even know it) when I posted the breakfast menu this morning.  Then when people started showing up for Tuesday Produce, at 7 a.m., it began coming down harder.  We even had some claps of thunder, but never saw any lightning to go with it.

The produce I managed to get today was:  corn on the cob, yellow squash and peaches.  They had large bags of carrots and broccoli.  Even with the rain, we had 60 people today.  Not bad, considering that it was pouring rain, and we had to take the produce inside the gym, and give out inside, to keep the boxes dry (or as dry as we could keep them)!

Lunch menu today:  open face roast beef sandwiches w/mashed taters and beef gravy, corn on the cob, broccoli and carrots.

All the regular dessert items, and mudchicken:  here's plenty of Diet Mountain Dew for you!!

I'll take a sandwich CW and some of that corn, but to go.  After my leg workout this morning I better not sit or I'll stiffen up something fierce!  If Mudchicken needs an extra crane or heavy lifting device I work cheap!

Anyone seen/heard from Willy?

Dan, another good post in "that thread" Seeing threads like that makes me ...ahem.."know my place" here at the Trains forums.

That aside...a large Pepsi and keep it coming.

EDIT: I miss Wily's Chief. Wonder where he is as well

Duff - we shouldn't have to be relegated to the diner only.  We should be able to go out on the forums and if we have a question, be able to ask it without intimidation.  Last time I looked we are still a country of freedoms and freedom of speech is still one of them (albeit tempered a little)

Willy is in school now and right up to his cute eyebrows in school work.  He is "resting" for awhile and we should be able to coax him back after a little time off.

Meanwhile, we will do business as usual and if someone doesn't like it, well, it is their loss.  Guess there will always be that job opening of needing someone to rain on other's parades.

Lunch is now served in CDST zone!  Dinner [dinner]

I understand from a good source nearby that all is well with Willy- busy with school and staying away from here until the storm subsides.  I don't blame him, in fact, I think I'll do likewise.

If anybody wants my input, I'll be hiding back in the knight armor again...

EDIT: The source beat me to it...

Thanks Duff.

I, for one, always feel like I can post and ask what I need to on here.  We are all in this together and I won't let a couple of bad instances (not necessarily people!) ruin this experience for me.

I better get another sandwich, I think it could get busy in here!

I have a problem with people talking down to me, whether it would be a "stupid question" or whatever, So I may as well avoid the fights, stay in here and watch the trains go by. Like I said somewhere else, it's way too hostile out there. *shiver*
Either that, or I will say something I will deeply regret by retaliating to some of the fools that post, so...here is where I feel safe.

French fries please, with lots of ranch...

I think he might've, Brian. He responded to my post which was right before yours. In fact, I was attempting a reply, and when I hit "Post," I found out that there was no thread to post to!

I fell in love with Youtube! I love watching the train action in my hometown, or anywhere at that rate. Now the trick for me is not to watch too many vids, or else I would be respobsible for throttling our bandwidth. This Christmas I plan to borrow my mom's camera, and record some vids of my own, while I am there.

I did promise my mediocre pictures from last year didn't I? It'll get done soon

hmm dinner...John is making fish...anyone want fish, fries and salad?

Well, that's some satisfaction then.  Thanks, Chris.  I don't think Bergie was doing the deleting- my old thread with PZ's flame was deleted by ogaugeoverlord, and I noticed that he was in the forum this afternoon as well.

First,

Thanks for your concern, but as you can see, Dean did little more than clear out the smog and drop the temps down into the lower 90s or upper 80 at night..with a nice gulf breeze to boot.

Now, for the serious stuff.

Chris, got it, wonderful work, rosewood maybe, or spalted pecan?

I didn't get to read your post, so email me.

Brian, email me, I didn't get to read your post either.

If I offended anyone, my apologies, but it just chapped my fanny when guys like that come on with the attitude they are some how born with the right to tell others what to do, when to do it, and when to stop...contrary to his beliefs, he is no better than anyone of you guys here, or elsewhere in the forums for that matter, and in most cases, a lot less than most.

I took him to task simply because he is what I said he is, a troll, who has never made a single positive contribution to the forum.

Now, it's his right to be pitiful, old, alone and grumpy...but it is not his right to be insulting towards others because of that, or to try and drive off people he thinks are not as good as himself... he insulted me and my friends, so I held a mirror up to him, and I think I made my point.

I am going to leave off on him simply because it is causing some of you guys grief...which was never my intention.

That plus, nothing else can be gained from prolonging the argument.

So again, if I offended any of you, sorry.

Gonna go make chicken *** grilled in olive oil and garlic, with butter brazed mushrooms and onions, white rice with real butter, and fried spinach...sweet tea and coffee for when the sun sets

Glad for two things Ed:

1.  Nothing came of Dean

and

2.  The 'thing' is over.
