Don't need weight in the back of the truck, that's what the front axle (and the half-ton of engine sitting directly over it) are for!!

It's not me I'm worried about in the snow, it's all the other idiots attemting to drive in their luxury SUV's that worry me!!

Looks like we got somewhere around 3 or 4 more inches here.  Gave the snowblower a good workout after I got home from church this morning.  And it's still coming down...

Sunday Dinner is now on the warmer bar, so mosey on over, grab a plate, fill'er up, and have a sitdown at the counter, table, or booth.

As for the freezing rain here, it's ended, and looks like streets are drying up.  Kind of wish we had gotten a little bit of snow.  It is pretty to look at.

I think I would rather just shut down the weather machine than have to face either of those punishments!

Snowing here with maybe a couple of inches new.  Willy must have the speed dial turned up pretty good.  Looks like the snow will move out in a hour or so.  Will probably take about an hour to get the chief shoveler up and at 'em.  Otherwise we will probably just be looking in on the NFL games this afternoon, taking care of some odds and ends chores and generally taking it easy.  In about a week, I'll be at the start of 2 1/2 months worth of 6-day work weeks.  I'd rather be soaking up rays on a nice beach in the Carribean.  Of course I'd feel guilty because of everybody else being hard at work.  Not.

Have a good one.

Morning everyone....

Have about three inches of snow on the ground since early this morning, weather forecasters might be a bit off in the 2-4 inch storm totals again.  Had over an inch fall in just the last hour or soShock [:O]Shock [:O], still coming down pretty good now.  Might take the camera out later and try some snowstorm pictures before going to poker.

....This really must be a fast moving weather system as it is already past us and just about an hour ago it had 2 counties to go before it got past us...In fact, the sun has peaked out for a few minutes here just a short time ago.  What a change from a bit over an hour ago.

Welcome, and jump on in!  Just don't step on the cat.  She already has had one meltdown this week and went on a rampage with a paintball gun!  My 2 cents [2c]

Here in Reno, it's about 17 and clear, high of about 42.  I'm glad the snow is far to the east of me!  I'll take some pancakes, eggs on top, edge with bacon and sausage, then drown with syrup.  Thanks much, CW.  Stay safe folks...

Good morning everybody, long time reader, first time poster. We've got cold rain down south this morning hovering around 40F but from what I've read, it could be worse.

No one minds me jumping into the conversation do they?

.....Yes, the really "first taste" of winter here....and the western edge of this fast moving system is about 2 counties over to the west of us yet.  Started out as very fine snow and since has changed to larger snow flakes and is still coming down quite heavily.  Hopefully it will cease in about 2 hours or so.

We now have at least 3" of the stuff.....Must make the chruch run in the next hour or so...Normally takes 10 min...but today, being the first "winter" driving session, who knows.

Winter tires and sand bags in back...do your stuff...

Pancakes and scrambled eggs for breakfast this morning sounds pretty good to me, and I too might grab a couple pieces of leftover pizza.

We have a blanket of fresh snow here on the ground, and I figure that it's somewhere between a half an inch and a full inch in depth. Our temperature here is sitting at 25 degrees, and with the wind out of the East at 6 mph, it leaves us with a wind chill of 18 degrees.

Good Sunday morning to one and all!  Well, here in Louisville, we are getting freezing rain and sleet.  Current temp is around 31, 32 degrees.  At least we have 50#s of ice melt that we can use.

Joe, thanks so very much for putting the coffee on, and making the juice.  For breakfast this morning, on the warmer bar you will find:  turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, fried taters, pancakes, waffles, and plenty of thick maple syrup (so your pancakes can soak it up, real good), oatmeal, and grits.

Everyone who has to get out this morning for Chruch, work or whatever, be extremely careful, if you're having very bad weather conditions, and be safe out there.
