Good Saturday morning to all!

Joe, thanks for putting the coffee on making the juice, and for making breakfast!!  Pancakes and sausage sound very good this morning.  Could I have four pancakes, and three sausage, please?  Thank you!

Not sure what time we'll be leaving for The Great Train Show, but do know we'll be home in time for me to fix the pizzas for our Saturday Night Pizza Fest.

Everyone have a great day, and whatever you do today, be careful and stay safe, all right?!

Oh yeah French Fries!!! The fish and hushpuppies are great as well. mmmmm!Dinner [dinner]

I hope the allergies don't get as bad as they did last year. in May they triggered a really bad migrane that lasted a couple of days, and it was miserable. I hope this year is better in that department.

Mutt, thanks for fixing the FRIDAY FISH FRY supper while Sarah and I were out.  We got back home, about 1/2 hour or so, after Mutt posted the supper menu.  We had a good time, even saw a train, not long after we started out.  Even found a restaurant to check out tomorrow after we get out from the Train Show.

Nighttrain, glad to hear that your cold has gone away, and is now leaving you alone.  I feel for you with the allergies.  My nasal allergies have been giving me fits, because it's not staying freezing cold long enough to kill everything.  AND I'VE GOT SOME MORE FRIES GOING IN THE FRYER, IF ANYONE WANTS MORE!!

YAY Fish Fry!!! Can you make extra french fries so me and Matt can pig out on potatoes all night? No worries Matt I'll share the ketchup.

My cold is gone! *does cartwheels* now to get rid of the dry air so my allergies can go away too...ah it's Florida. Green, and Growing...means more pollen in the air. Without much rain it gets worse though. I'll live

I guess I missed out on late night coffeehouse drama. I am sorry that Mookie had to be directed at like that, she doesn't deserve it. To make her feel better I think I'll get some chocolate cake, .....ah heck, I'll buy some, and leave some here for dessert. I'll save one more for Mookie on her late night runs.

Don't!  Those weather buffs among us like the technology, but I've been known to look out on the back porch thermometer for the temperature, and actually look up at the windvane for the weather station to see which way the wind is blowing (the house isn't oriented N-S, so interpretation of the weather station display can be deceiving).

The biggest single values to me are the hourly observations that the computer saves and the rain guage.

But I don't.  That's because everyone around here is so good at sharing.  Smile [:)]

All righty, folks:  our FRIDAY FISH FRY is under way.  On today's menu, you will find:

1.  Cod

2.  Catfish

3.  Perch

4.  Whitefish

Side dishes will be:  fries, cole slaw, hushpuppies, and corn on the cob.

Desserts today:  chocolate cake, apple pie, cherry pie, peach pie, and pecan pie.

Everyone have a great lunch, and a great afternoon.  Sarah & I are going out so I can do a little bit of shopping, so I won't be back until supper time.

Brian - I saw your comment about a current conditions page. For now it will just have to be a link to what Omaha/Eppley is reporting because I don't actually have my own weather station. I do plan on getting one, and once I do I will set it up so that it displays the data on my website.

I'm planning on making some changes to the format. One of the special features a person can add is called a shoutbox and that is where people can leave questions and advice and I can answer them. Once I make that, I'll just use the guestbook for comments so that if I have to answer a question, it won't be like I'm signing my own guestbook.

I've been telling some people at school about the site because I would like it to gain some popularity and actually be used by people in Omaha for weather information. I know that'll take some time, but eventually I might able to gather up some loyal fans. Cool [8D] Thanks to everyone for checking it out!

I kind of thought you might be Norwegian since you mentioned that you have a weather rock. The weather rock IS a Norwegian invention.

Some folks tie a string around their weather rocks and hang them up.  Then, if the rock is swinging, they know it's windy.

In the Northwoods, a hanging length of Paul Bunyon's logging chain served as a wind speed indicator.

I'm up on the computer - in fact, I have hourly obs data saved for something like two years now.  Haven't turned it into anything yet, but maybe one of these days.  Not really interested in real-time on the web...

It's the controls on the weather station itself I don't know how to operate....  Sigh [sigh]

Good Friday morning to all!  The weather is nice and chilly here in Louisville, current temp about 23 degrees.

Joe, thanks for making breakfast this morning.  Went to sleep just after 10 last night, and the next thing I knew, it was 7:20 this morning.  Joe, that hot cereal breakfast looks very good this morning.  Just can't decide between the maple brown sugar, or the strawberries & cream.

I'm not going to say anything about the incident last night, except that I was very upset.  Mookie DESERVES everyone's respect around here;  whether it's in the DD/CS, or one of the other places around here.

Everyone have a great morning, and be sure to be back in around 11, 12 EST for the beginning of our FRIDAY FISH FRY.

v~^ - wow - little mud in here to clean up.  See there are a few rocks gone from our small pile in the corner.  Thank you to all my defenders.

While you were all working so hard, I was home listening to the BNSF run all of their trains out of our local yard.  I wish I could have stayed awake to count them all.  Business is good.

I heard a blurb on the news that NE had a derailment somewhere - I was in the kitchen with my head in the dishwater, looking for goldfish and the driver said they flashed a picture of a cream and green on its side and lots of tinkertoy cars on the ground.  Anyone know anything?

Going to grab the paper, the coffee and the hammock.  If 42 comes in today, maybe we should talk face-to-face.  Less mud to clean up later.

//Yawn// Evening everyone.....

I'll be glad to get back to work next week, this week is wreaking havoc on my sleep cycle.  Just trying to keep my sanity untill Monday when I go back to work.

Had an odd event happen while I was playing poker tonight, while dealing, the first three cards I dealt face-up were 7-7-7, and the very next hand I dealt I turned up 6-6-6.  So, if 7-7-7 means lucky and 6-6-6 means the devil, does that make me a lucky devil??Evil [}:)]Evil [}:)]Evil [}:)]  Maybe taking third place tonight had something to do with it, now I only need two more final tables before I have a full set of pint glasses.

See everyone later.........
