Data, Sacto
+12 º in Delavan. Please don't tell me about your weather.
You mean that you don't want to hear about temps in the 50s with bright sunshine? Or that I've been outside wearing a short sleeved shirt?

Good morning, everyone! Another beautiful day here in sunny San Jose.
Today's focus will be Psalm 69.

That sounds great! (I'll take the garlic bread)
Well, looks like no one has any particular request for today, so I have decided to have the following for our Sunday Dinner:
2. beef noodles
4. pork chop abracadbra
And the side dishes are: garden salad, baked potatoes, mashed taters w/beef gravy, creamed corn, green beans, peas and and your choice of homade biscuits, rolls (crescent or dinner).

....A bit colder up here than Lousiville.....Right now we have 14.9 degrees and occasonal snow showers and then sunshine which is what we have currently. Some wind too, so it feels pretty chilly out there....No big snow systems forecast for this area just continued cold this upcoming week.....

Good Sunday morning, everyone! Yes, it is COLD OUTSIDE this morning!! We are at 25 degrees this morning, and I'm not sure what the wind chill is this morning.
Joe, thanks for getting the coffee on, and making the juice. On the warmer bar, you will find: turkey bacon, sausage, homemade buttermilk biscuits, sausage gravy, grits, cooked rice, oatmeal and buttered toast, and cinnamon toast.
I'm glad everyone enjoyed the pizzas last night. Does anyone have any requests for Sunday Dinner today? If so, please let me know by about 10:00, 10:30, so I can get it going.
Everyone have a great day, and stay WARM!

Hey Lance, I just looked at your pictures, and they are nice! VERY nice indeed!!
And a good, COLD, Frosty morning to everyone else out there! I've been up for barely an hour, and we have a temperature of -6 here in Sioux Falls. With the wind out of the NW at 4 mph, this leaves us with a wind chill of 17 degrees below 0!! I think it is a lot warmer in Louisville, Kentucky where Locomutt, Cherokee Woman and Sarah are.
I've got to go to church this morning, but it's much too cold for me to be walking the six to eight blocks between my house and church, so I think I will be calling another member of my church for a ride this morning.

Deshler Ohio-crossroads of the B&O Matt eats your fries.YUM! Clinton st viaduct undefeated against too tall trucks!!!(voted to be called the "Clinton St. can opener").
CW Thanks for putting out those delicious (sp?) pizzas as always!! Tonight I was so hungry I ate a whole large cheese pizza!
As CW said the train show at the Kentucky Convention Center was crowed! I had some trouble navigating the corners without running into anyone! I purchased two things. A C & O log book, for delay reports from 1928. I also purchased a PRR signal and brake rule book from 1944 ( I HAD to by that one it was printed at PRR's headquaters in my home town Philadelphia, PA!)

He must be an awfully young meteorologist...
Yes, he is quite young, only in his late 20s, I believe. Still, when a meteorologist makes a comment like that, you know it's going to get pretty cold. I actually don't think it's going to get quite as cold as he thinks, but it is still going to be bitter. It will be tempered a bit by the fact that there won't be any real fresh snow on the ground.
CanadianPacific2816 - I don't think you understand what he was saying. He didn't mean that he can literally see the air, he just meant that it is some of the coldest that has ever come south while he has been around. Maybe he should have said that it is some of the coldest he has ever experienced rather than seen.

A bit late getting in. A couple slices of the Hawaiian and the meat lovers #5 and a diet pepsi would be great...
Cold everywhere, here in the north and in the south...
Gloves and Carharts...

......It has been a different winter in many places but anything can happen yet...We still have a bit over a month and a half of winter to go through.
I agree with Brian. He must really be young.
Before all this Global Warming that everyone talks about started, it used to actually get really cold. I remember in the late 70's, early 80's a whole bunch of snow and a whole bunch of snow days off from school. That was in the Greater Cincinnati area also. It ain't like it used to be. You could count on the first few days of January being just a tad warm, then everything would go downhill from that.

I'm not a big fan of frigid temperatures, but it will be interesting to feel real extreme cold, if it actually does materialize.

All I know about the air we breath is that it is made up of a mixture of gases, all of which are colorless. A meteorologist who can actually see air must be an extremely rare breed.
I don't know what kind of weather you've got down there in Omaha, but up here in Sioux Falls we have a temp of 2 degrees above 0, and with the wind blowing out of the NW at 14 mph, this leaves us with a wind chill of 15 below 0. Not a fit night to be out for anyone here!

Brian (IA) http://blhanel.rrpicturearchives.net.
I need the Large Goetta with an ice cold Dr. Pepper.
We haven't done anything at all today. We went to WalMart and then ate a bite at Long John's.
I was wondering how the train show went CW. I wouldn't have known anything if you and LM hadn't said anything about it last night.
I just got in after putting in a full day at work. And man, the pizza sure smells good to me. I'm gonna grab a few pieces of the Canadian bacon and a few pieces of the Hawaian pizza.
I am providing beverages to go along with our pizza feast tonight, and plenty of it; Coke, diet Coke, Sprite, diet Sprite, Cherry Coke, Root Beer, Pepsi, diet Pepsi and Mountain Dew.
Well, we made it home from the train show. About the only good thing I can say for it, is that it was CROWDED!! There were so many people there, you could hardly move. Otherwise, it wasn't much to brag about in my honost opinion.
FOR OUR SATURDAY NIGHT PIZZA FEST, YOU WILL FIND ON THE WARMER BAR:
1. cheese
2. Canadian bacon
3. Goeta
4. Hawaiian
5. Pepperoni/mushroom/sausage
6. Pepperoni/mushroom
7. Sausage
8. Supreme
And for dessert, apple pie, chocolate cake, and cherry cheesecake
Everyone have a terrific evening, stay warm and safe.
glad everyone liked the breakfast.not too much to report here.csx did send the work train to go pick up ties near sherwood ohio.there has been alot of clearing of the woods near the state patrol post where 424 starts in west defiance.can see the trains alot better.will take some supreme to go.

It's another beautiful day. Wet, but not really raining. Only 50 degrees, but it feels warmer.
And I will have bacon and eggs for breakfast, with a glass of orange juice.
........Wow, 4 degrees....We now have 36.0 degrees and what little snow we've had this week is scattered now....been melting all night and lots of bare ground.
We will see several cold days this coming week though....Believe it's to be 13 and 19 tomorrow. But no precip and partly sunny.
Railroad stuff....not much....Saw Triple Crown slipping through on it's trek south Friday with it's many, many trailers in tow....Business still must be rather good.
Hawaiian, as usual, although I may venture off the beaten path....
Heard the highway people on the scanner this morning - sounded like they were pretty serious, considering the very light snow falling and the temperature was only 4....
Then, at the Post Office I ran into the highway superintendent (small town - you know most everyone...). He said there was actually some freezing rain involved, too... Yuck. Good day to stick around the house.
Got the truck back, a couple of days sooner than expected, and with a pleasant surprise - since the old grille had basically disintegrated, they ordered the "wrong" one - the old one was plain gray plastic - the new one looks like chrome. A whole new look!
Off to the the local PBS station tonight for their antique event.
