Creamy only for me.  Driver likes chunky - but we just ignore that....Approve [^]

//gets jar down and hands it over

Here you go Mook.  I won't laugh a bit-promise!  I will take the chunky and get that ready for later.

Since there was lots of steak and taters left from yesterday I'll get the grill out and heat 'em up again.  I also have some french fries ready (Plate for Matt!) and for dessert will be strawberry cheesecake!

Well, I made it back from my colonoscopy.  I'm beginning to get a little bit sleepy, so will be going to lie down for awhile.  Everything went all right:  did find out I have diverticulosis.  So now, I'm going to have to watch what I eat, and make sure I eat plenty of high fiber foods.  When I awoke, they told me a list of beverages I could have, and I selected Sierra Mist.  Boy, did that taste good!!  And as soon as I got home, I put a pot of coffee on.  Drinking my first cup, now.

For supper tonight, before I left this morning, I put in the Crock Pots, some beef stew, and I'll be putting cornbread in the oven, in just a little bit.  How does that sound to everyone?!?!  Well, it's off to sleepy town for me for a few.  Wonder if there's a cool breeze blowing out on the patio.  Will find out.

Sorry to hear you were subject to a colonoscopy , certainly not the best way to spend a day . I have many humorous colonoscopy stories I could share with you at some point .. another time perhaps ...

Well, the Omaha Royals won nine to nothing. They just killed the other team. On top of that, I won four free movie tickets by playing one of the between innings games. Not too bad of a way to spend an afternoon!

CW - Take it easy and rest. We'll keep everything going here in the Diner.

Busy night here on the forums.

Nice night here - if a tad cool.  Beats the hot and humid when it comes to sleeping, for sure.

CW - Watch that diet - no fun not being able to sit down.....

VACATION!  Off tomorrow through next Sunday!  Several days on the railroad, and several days to get caught up on everything else in my world.

Daughter called tonight to see about borrowing the Digital Rebel to shoot a friend's wedding in August.  Apparently it's a real low-budget affair and the posed pictures would have been catch as catch can by the guests.  Laura can give her a CD with lots of great images.  Works for me.  At least I know the camera is in good hands.

The Dalmatian is getting restless.  Time for a walk.

Willy, Thanks for sending some Much Needed rain to this area. This is one time I'm not going to complain about it raining so much.

Hope the other team wasn't the Louisville Bats, and the movie tickets are for a really good movie.

Baseball games ARE a very good way to spend an afternoon!

The movie tickets are actually for any movie we wish to see rather than a specific one.

The other team was the Denver Zephyrs. Sorry Chris and Mudchicken, but I guess the Royals are just better than the Zephyrs! Big Smile [:D]

Good Friday morning, everyone.  RANDY STAHL!!!  So nice that you came by yesterday!!  You should drop in a see us more often.  You can email your colonoscopy stories, and I'll definitely read them!!

Larry, believe it or not, I'm not really having any trouble sitting down.  I remember nothing:  they gave me some great pain medication before.  If I remember correctly, one was Darvon, and I'd never heard of the other pain med, so I can't remember that name.

On the breakfast bar this morning:  doughnuts (all shapes, sizes, creamed filled, vanilla filled, etc., muffins (strawberry, blueberry, apple-raisin), and bear claws.

Everyone have a good Friday, and if you're getting rain showers, be careful out there!!

Yawn...was so tired last nite - took a shower and brushed my fangs with my eyes closed the entire time.  Took two Tylenol and died for almost 7 hours.  I think I can almost make it over to the coffee pot.

.....A bit cooler here this morning...Instrument indicated 68 at about 7:30.

Now, we're to have 4 days of lower temps and lower humidity and lots of sunshine.  But, it's cloudy right now this morning so they will have to go.

Finally, it should be dry enough today that I can get the {fast growing}, lawn mowed and continue to trim shrubs these next few days.

A bit over 4.25" of rain now in the past week has really worked on the brown grass too.  Plus it was just fertlized recently.

We had quite a dry spell here.  Corn is taking off now too...pretty and green and getting high as it should have been several weeks ago.

Construction is buzzing all over our fair city.....More of it now than we've seen in the 45 years we've been out here.

Wishing a good day for all.....

Send some of that spare water this way please! ( The yard, even with a daily watering, is burning up in places....Near 100 all weekend)

Denver Zephyrs? (Know about the Colorado Springs SkySox, ...but Zephyrs?.....thought they played in old Mile High Stadium before the Bears)...Minor league clubs in suburban Denver and Pueblo (Runyon Field) have failed recently. Is this the Ft. Collins outfit? The Rockies might as well be a minor league outfit lately.

A Google search said that in 1984 the Denver Bears became the Denver Zephyrs. I couldn't find an official Denver Zephyrs website, however.

In other news... the big talk in Omaha today is that we might have a Billion Dollar expressway built that will circle the city and ease congestion on the Interstates through Omaha. Of course, this means that taxpayers will need to dig a bit deeper into their pockets.

Another nice day today. Highs in the lower 80s, light winds, and low humidity. Of course it still won't rain, but the cooler conditions should keep the crops healthy for a bit longer.

Hope everyone has a good afternoon!

Hmmm.  Haven't had perch in ages.  Some fries on the side and we're set!

Starting the "summer season" tomorrow - first train at 10, on duty at nine, have to be out of the house by seven, and I want to get there early besides.  Better get to bed soon.

With the Fourth coming up (Sunday is Canada Day, for our friends to the north!), I want to get some flags and bunting on the RS-3.  Should look sharp!

As much as we'd like a nice weekend (and next week, too - I'm on vacation), we do need some rain.  Maybe some nice overnight showers, with blue skies to wake up to...
