Good Monday morning to everyone.  Cloudy here this morning, will be mostly cloudy all day, with a little bit of sun peeking through the clouds later on, supposed to get up to low 70s today, and up to 80 tomorrow & Wednesday.

Good Monday evening to you, Cherokee Woman.  Back east here in north Jersey we've had more than a cloudy day.  There has been a light rain.  I welcome it.  Saturday I finally finished fertilizing all of our flower beds and it with give the fertilizer a good chance to soak in.  Tomorrow I'll plant beets and perhaps put up some sticks -- pea brush -- for my peas to climb on.

Good Monday morning to everyone.  Cloudy here this morning, will be mostly cloudy all day, with a little bit of sun peeking through the clouds later on, supposed to get up to low 70s today, and up to 80 tomorrow & Wednesday.  Then another cold front comes in Thursday, bringing chances of rain, thundershowers for the weekend.Guess that means if you bet on the horses in the Derby Saturday, hope there's a good mudder in the mix.

Didn't get to go up to Louisville yesterday:  niece is still restricted to rest as much as possible.  She is really hoping she doesn't have to continue that for the next 7 months, til the baby is born.

Everyone have a good day, take care, keep safe and see you all later.

Looooooong day.  Airbrakes in morning, locomotives in afternoon.  Also took the written test for some new territory.  Need a check ride and I'm ready to go.

Learned some interesting stuff - we'll be making a few changes in how we do things.

Also learned this weekend that not even the FRA knows how to interpret the HOS laws now in effect...

Stopped at the PBS auction on the way home.  My shot of the locomotive at Greenfield Village was up for sale, but I don't think it moved.  There was no bid on it when I left due to extreme tiredness.

Off to bed.

Thanx, Joe - first time seeing them, I couldn't remember what all they could be.  Think you are right on!

Told Millie I want to get up early to go train watch - she laughed out loud and then closed her garage door!  Guess that means we won't be doing much early morning let alone overnite watching!

Yo!  BOC - go outside and pull that long freezer curtain along the border!  We will have 70-80 today and tomorrow and maybe Tue and then the high until next Sun will be 55.  I won't eat your breakfast roll if you do this for me.  Shy  I was just beginning to thaw out from winter!

Q - welcome back home.  Will catch up with you privately as soon as I am in mah puter chair for more than a few mins!

Chicken?  Calling Sir Chicken.... r u east of us yet?

Joe - got left over treats?

Saw 18 tarp covered hoppers in old BN colors.  We have never seen the tarp covered ones.  Didn't someone say this could be one of several things - like contaminated dirt or something that might blow if untarped?  Going to go with that unless someone has something further on this.

Back to my Indiana home...Been out east twice this month. Everything is so pretty and green.  Love this time of the year to have blossoms and bright {fast growing}, lawns.

My transportation worked perfect, and the good Lord guided me {us}, safely thru all the miles.

Best wishes to all for a good week.

Church will be next this morning.  Then with niece and nephew for our Sunday meal.  Not sure where yet....Tomorrow morning we go in for our permanent crown instation...That will be a piece of cake....

Have a good photo I took of the massive RR bridge over the Monongahalia River  {believe that's correct}, I took just by the camera pointed out the windshield while driving.  But with the process of installing photos on here, I don't enter into the frustration any more.

Strange, it's so simple to install photos on others sites.....????

Good Saturday late morning.  Carolyn & I have been busy cleaning this morning, so I'm just now getting in here.  I cleaned my room, dusted, and vacuumed my room, hall & the girls' bedroom. My brother went to his grandson's t-ball game.  He asked if I wanted to go, but warned me the field going to the diamond was all muddy.  Told him I'd stay home this time.

Cloudy & gloomy here, with a temp somewhere in the mid to upper 50s, with occasional rain drops.

Got a light brunch set out on the breakfast cart/warmer bar, just in case anyone is hungry.

Everyone have a good day, take care, and will try to get back in later to bake the pizzas for tonight.  Got a good supply of all kinds in the freezer, and everything is labeled.

Johnny - you look mah-velous!  Lincoln is great for sleeping, isn't it!

And you would have seen some green during daylight - our grass is bright green from the great rain we have had.  Now some warmer days and we will be in full bloom!

Driver had tea on the wall this morning - little chilly yet, but going to be super nice!

Johnny didn't get a chance to report at Chicago, so I'll tell you that he's lookin' good, and doing well.  Pat and I greeted him at Union Station, dragged him out to lunch while Katie and Jackie went to the Mag Mile, and saw them all off at the Metropolitan Lounge (Pat and I were graciously allowed to step into this sanctum sanctorum of sleeping-car patrons to give them a sendoff).

Thanks, Carl, for posting the account of our meeting. We, indeed, had a wonderful time, especially as Carl and Pat took me to The Elephant and Castle--a good restaurant with a British theme.

We had a good trip back to Salt Lake, even arriving fifteen minutes early despite being an hour and a half late at Fort Morgan. Yes, Mookie, I did sleep right through Lincoln, though I am not sure how much good it did my appearance.

Good Thursday morning all.  Joe, thanks for breakfast.  Current temp in the mid to upper 30s, after getting down to 32, 33 degrees overnight.  Beautiful sunshine, though, burning off the frost from overnight, and will reach about 62, 63 degrees this afternoon.

I had a good time with Sarah yesterday afternoon/evening.  She took me to get my hair cut/style, then we went grocery shopping and out to supper.

Both of my little girls are at their mommy's with other aunt & uncle, with strep throat.  Imagine they 'caught' it from their cousin, when he had it a few weeks ago.  Other than that, not too much going on.  Did get to hear a CSX train go by the strip mall yesterday, as we were going in for my haircut.  It is right by the CSX mainline.

Everyone have a gorgeous day, take care, keep safe and see you all later.

Night four of the WPBS auction is over, and I managed to get through the night without mangling too many words or breaking anything.  Usually I'm running the camera.  Last night the railroad was the underwriter (sponsor) so I was in front of the camera, trying to convince folks to buy the items up for sale.

Back behind the camera tonight.

We get a variety of folks who volunteer as auctioneers/readers.  Basically all they have to do is read the script.  For some, however, that appears to be a real challenge.  I can understand someone not from the area not getting local pronunciations, but some folks seemm to have real difficulty with what most would regard as "normal" words.  Oftimes they'll substitute a word they know for the word that's there, even though the two words don't really resemble each other in spelling or pronunciation.   Like "sullivan" for "sylvan..."

Looks like some scattered showers coming in.  Better get to it and get the little bit of outside stuff I have to do done!

Good Tuesday afternoon everyone.  Sorry I've been a little lax in getting in here: between doing laundry & watching the girls, haven't had a whole lot of time, even in the mornings.  But Allie got picked up at bus stop this afternoon, by 2 gentlemen:  her Papaw and her uncle.  She didn't even come in the house for anything.  Guess she rode down to the house on Papaw's mower tractor, and got into uncle's car.

Not sure what our current temp is, but looking out the front door, there's nothing but cloudy skies, and I can see the leaves on the bushes/trees "Blowing in the Wind" as I type.

Johnny, glad to hear you're enjoying your vacation.

Wishing you all a good afternoon/evening; take care, keep safe and see you when I can (Sarah's coming out to see me tomorrow afternoon, so probably won't be in tomorrow morning).
