Mudchicken....I eyeballed the area {on the computer}, you mentioned your work would be located and see you would be in the large curve area of the north / south NS thru Muncie...east of Muncie proper.

It appears from what you describe {N Gavin St}, would be in the area where several Triple Crown trains have pulled off the inside of that large curve...{Stringlined ?} and right beyond is where there is a "Y" that allows a route east, and the other leg of the "Y" proceeds towards downtown Muncie and works it's way on south.

To further clear my location with the above info...just south of the large curve {you might be working with}, you find route 32.  That is the route I mentioned in my email to you.  From there, following that route {west}, would bring you right thru Munice, and on out the west side where you pick up from the information in my email to you...example:  Past the former Borg-Warner plant}, and so on.

I went to a meeting at my church this evening, and as I started downhill, I looked south over the valley, and saw that it was raining (no rain at home); when I reached city level (about 1200 feet down), it was only sprinkling, but it had rained. It's only 3 1/2 miles from home to church now, but I use more gasoline getting home now than I did when I lived about 12 miles away. Sunday evening, we ate out on Katie's deck, for the weather was fine for that.We have wonderful views of the hills north and east and of the lake to the west from her deck (my deck view is limited to the yard fences--but I am quite content with my digs. No outside eating last night or tonight--it's too chilly for such. The cherry trees are losing their blooms, and the petals pile up on horizontal surfaces..

I saw a few more robins and magpies as I went out this morning for my constitutional exercise.

Spring is coming! Spring is coming (not BOC's Spring)! May it be soon.

Quentin: There may be a mudchicken siting in your backyard within 10 days. The cat may loan you a net.

Mudchicken....Sorry, I've not checked on here yesterday and have just eyeballed your note.  Lord willing, we'll be here in our domain of Munice at that time.  If you really get close, fill us in on your schedule and see if it fits for an eyeball......We are not right in Muncie....actually 5.5 mi. west of our central city, city / county building.  Area identified as our addition built around the Elks Country Club golf course and  formally, known as the Westbrook County Club golf course.  Location is between road 500\W and 600W.  I'm sure you know...our grid system marks everything here as such.

Are you growing Muffins also?!  Love blueberry muffins, maybe you could send a few this way?!

Next time I go to the home improvement store, I'll see if they have any muffin plants....

Of course, we all have to wait - the plants won't be ready to produce until fall, at best...

There - the blueberry plants are in.  Their new home cost well more than the plants themselves, but I may include a few flowers there, too.

Hopefully, I'll see plenty.  I do like blueberries.

Next planting project will be a couple of big pots with leaf lettuce - another favorite.

And the weather for the project was beautiful.

The phrase "Is nothing sacred? comes to mind.

Unless they just threw them away (which wouldn't surprise me), one has to wonder how anyone could use such items for anything else with anything resembling a clear conscience...

Cannonball.....I installed our Humming Bird feeder on May 5 this season and I've seen none of the birds yet....Item:  I note last season on this date I had mowed 14 times by now, compared to current seasaon: 4 so far, but due to do so again today.  Hence the implied difference in this season to last....

And to anyone intrerested in anything of Marine mechanical engineering, I note {on live cam I'm watching}, the Salvage teams are now beginning to install the "floatation devices"...{Port side}, 15 will be installed on ea. side of the capsized Costa Concordia cruise ship that went down in Jan. 012. The issue is to float it yet this Summer.  Lots of prep. have been completed for it to set on when {and if}, they get it to a vertical position.

The first effort to move her will be to "right" it to a vertical position....{she's laying on her Starboard side now....in roughly 50 ft. of water {but the sea floor slants down steeply to 300'}.....and then if they get it vertical, the next step will be to install the 15 floatation devices on the Starboard side, and the next step, when ready, will be to try to float her....I've been watching for months, and it's certainly a challenging project. Over 400 million dollars worth...!

Well, it's Monday again, at least I'm on vacation this week......

Got home Saturday afternoon, after an early morning run up from Trenton, OH, with a hot pallet load for MillerCoors.  Yesterday was "Remove the carpet" day again, this time from our dining/family room, getting ready for the installers to put in the new laminate floor for Tuesday.  Am glad we put two fans in the windows blowing out, the results of bringing over the wrong cats first hit our noses as soon as we started in on it.  Plan of attack for today is to take carpet to the installer's dumpster, then Marlene will be scrubbing the floor to remove what's left of the dirt and "other things" whilst I take care of lawn order outside, mowing and fertilizing (gotta keep the lawn looking like everybody else's in the neighborhood, ya know).  A cedar tree is also scheduled to come out today, opening up the front of the house a bit.....

Breakfast, then on to the fun......

Peace be with you. A belated Happy birthday to CW. Sorry to be late, but that's the story of me life.

We have had a drizzly weekend with flood warnings for other parts of the state. Here, we got a whopping great .14 inch...

Everyone have a great week and stay safe.

Time to get to work on the blueberry patch.  Gotta plant it!

Good luck with your blueberries.  I had 6 plants 2 years old.  However, last winter we had a cold spell and that is what must have killed 3 or them.  But I still have the other 3.  Also I have a raspberry patch.  I did loose a few raspberries this winter too but not very many.

After seeing how the hummingbirds behaved when we did feed them, I've opted not to bother.  they're neat to have around, but...

Beautiful day to help grandson celebrate his fourth birthday (actually tomorrow).  He was so excited about the toys he got (Octonauts) that he had to be convinced to pay any attention to his guests - including the kids that are otherwise his favorite friends.

Time to get to work on the blueberry patch.  Gotta plant it!

Happy Cinco-de-Mayo Day!! (and NOT the sinking of the mayonnaise ship!)

Happy Birthday to CW!! Cake Pizza Drinks Coffee Happy B-Day

Rainy, dreary day here, temps to get only to about 60; big let down from the 80 degree temps we had this past week.  Guess I'll stay in and sit at the workbench building a new All-Nation NW-2 and rebuilding an older General Models/All-Nation NW-2 for the model railroad.

All-Nation has been out of business for Several years, after it's owner died. I was very lucky to pickup an un-built kit at a very good price.

(these kits are almost non-existent,generally price prohibitive, and I got this one for very little.)

It will go quite well on the layout, along with the older one that was converted from 3-rail to 2-rail about 30 years ago.

Smile  Quentin;about mid april we saw the first  ruby throat hummer. He was looking for the  feeder we have. After a few minutes he was back with his "sweety"? . We filled the feeder  and  1/2 hr.  there he was and the fighting began with those who followed him. They sure can hit warp speed flying.. Watched part of  improbable fairy tale ( Unstoppable) .  Kind of like " Peabodys Improbable  Fairy Tales"  that was a kiddie tv show years ago. There was an impressive rail grinding scene or two with lots of sparks from the grinding wheels tho. HEE  HEE.

Good Sunday morning everyone.  Been raining all night here, and is still raining.  And it'll continue for most of the day. Temps in the low 50s, and not supposed to climb very much all day.  May drop 2 or 3 degreees, from what I heard from a couple of different local TV stations' meteorologists this morning.

Mookie, thank you for the early birthday wish.  Got a bday card in the mail yesterday from Walt.  That's the only one I've gotten so far.

Joe, thanks for breakfast.

Everyone enjoy your day, take care, keep safe and see you all later.
