From the land that everyone forgot - or didn't know existed - had a 70% chance of rain yesterday.  Zip!

Loram found us yesterday, so train watching was pretty much zip.

Driver fishing for anything.  Zip

He usually fishes for bass and uses artificial bait but today he took BallPark Franks - probably alligator on line!  Just stocked trout - don't know if trout like franks or not.  Guess we will find out.

Lady Bird kestrel in Netherlands going thru motions of sitting on a nest.  We will probably be aunts and uncles in the next few days.  Dad was sitting there yesterday.  She was on the nest and he made her move off so he could "fluff" it for her.  (the nest box is rock on dirt and they move the rock to nest on the dirt)  Maybe that is like boiling water for him....

Near 90 this weekend - with sun - no moisture.  No smoke, either.

Went to eye dr yesterday - yep, they are still hazel with dark blue rings.  .

I am near-sighted with no astigmatism and over the years have gone from single lens to bifocals to trifocals back to single lens.  Almost to the point of not needing them at all.  Near-sighteds can do this better than far-sighteds.  Neener Neener!

Dentist for both on Monday.  Answering machine seems to be a lot of dr appts reminders....time for someone to buy a new boat or golf clubs?

Been a nice morning here.  Nice breeze and plenty of sunshine.  Temps are warming up nicely, although I don't know what current temp is.  Just judging by how it feels outside.

Our Friday Fish Fry is now under way:

FISH:  Bass, cod, flounder, haddock, halibut, perch, salmon croquets and salmon patties, shrimp (butterfly and jumbo shrimp), and Tilapia

SIDE DISHES:  Cole slaw, corn on the cob, cornbread, mac & cheese, pork n beans (instead of baked beans), mixed greens, breaded fried mushrooms

DESSERTS:  Chocolate cake w/white icing, yellow cake w/chocolate icing, yellow cake w/caramel icing, pecan pie, strawberry/rhubarb pie, and the following cobblers:  apple, cherry, peach and blueberry

Everyone enjoy your afternoon, take care and see you all later.

Good Saturday morning everyone.  Going to be another beautiful day, although a bit cooler:  our high today is to only be 70 degrees.  Currently somewhere in the 50s.  Had a little bit of rain overnight, with some lightning.  Don't know if we ever had the thunder, as I never heard any.

I'll be getting ready in a bit, to go over to the gym, and help with the Easter Egg Hunt for the little ones.  Not exactly sure what I'll be doing, but it'll be fun, watching the little ones hunting/gathering the eggs.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go.  On the warmer bar this morning:  bacon, eggs, toast, cinnamon toast and some fresh fruits.

Heard back from the doctor's office last night, around 7, 7:30.  I go to the hospital Thursday, have to be there by 1 p.m, and was told to bring an overnight bag.  Possibly will be kept overnight.  Thursday morning, I can have a piece of toast, and some juice, so I can take my morning meds, and nothing to eat or drink after 7 a.m.  So that won't be too bad.

Everyone enjoy your day, and hopefully they'll be some of you back in this evening for our pizza fest.  Will have it ready early, cause at 6 p.m., I'll be tuning in the UK/U of L game.  GO CATS!!

Think I'll head down to the RR museum in Oswego and check out their O&W event - last Thursday being the anniversary of the folding of the NYO&W back in 1957.

Snow on the ground this AM, but just over a dusting, and it's all gone now.

....Still waiting for the "fog" to burn off", as the weather people noted in the morning paper.  Then it's to be partly sunny.  Cooler this morning.

Did have a 5 to 10 min. blast of the edge of weather going thru earlier last evening.  .5" of rain....wind....and about 5 min. of pretty strong hail.  Then it was gone, and got brighter and calm, and still stayed rather mild.

I just finished up my 5th yard mowing about an hour before that came thru...but did get it finished.  The hail brought down quite a few new leaves.

Cool this morning...40's.  To get back to at least 60's today.  Believe much warmer temps coming up in a day or two.
