Well - the corn worked!  Scattered some along I-80 and sure enough - Sir Chicken made a right turn and ended up in my territory.  I had my plate ready Chef [C=:-)] and then realized, he had - Lady Hen with him!  And.........she plied me with chocolate, chunk cookies!  Well, how could I have chicken for supper after that!  The chocolate was such a distraction, I didn't notice they had been here until they were back on I-80 heading east!

Looks like hot dogs for dinner on Thursday.

Willy - the gold lettering on the front and rim of the cup is what caused the sparking.  Didn't even think of that, or would have warned you ahead of time.  I think they are more for show than go.

CW - I will be gone Wed - heading west to the foothills and very, very close to the asparagus fields at the edge of Colorado.  So will bring in a cooler and pack up some food to go, please and thank you.

Going out in the garden to enjoy the sunshine - in the hammock!  With my coffee!

Mook

...Good morning all: Just a comment of weather. Last evening we got a "skiff" or trace of snow that made the grass white...First of the season. Just checked my data here and last season the first was Nov. 5th @ 1". So we're doing better this season.
Jen I see nice warm weather on west of us which you folks might already have now. Sun is shining bright here and that bit of white stuff will be leaving soon. 30 degrees early this morning. Forecast for all this week is dry and mostly sunny and warmer here in central Indiana. That really sounds good for the travel days of the holiday, etc...
Everyone enjoy....

Mookie - I thought I heard a little while back that you might be headed for North Platte and Bailey Yard over Thanksgiving. Is that still on? Just wondering, but if it is, I wish you the best of luck!

It is a business photo - problem is - there was some monkey business in the background and that is how they caught me laughing.  As Brian knows - I take a horrible picture!  Have to catch me at the right time.  I would have picked a better background - but no one asked me!  (An SD70MAC would have been my choice - in Cream and Green! Not the Ugh Orange!)

Don't you see the little points on the ears?  Look very closely - they are there.  Early stages!

Mookie, that's a great looking picture!!

Well, I finally made it back from my unproductive meeting
this morning.  It seems that the local government employees
do not have a clue as to who they call in for a meeting, or
why they are called in.  So have to go back
Wednesday morning, and hopefully, they'll have their act
together!Angry [:(!]Banged Head [banghead]

Our supper menu tonight:  Italian spaghetti w/your choice
of Texas garlic toast, or garlic bread and garden salad.

For our friends who will be missing from Wednesday until
Monday, I will be fixing a Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner for our
lunch and supper menus tomorrow.  And it will have all the
side dishes and the desserts.

SactoGuy 188, you shouldn't turn your nose up at anything until you've tried it. Trust me, an English whole wheat muffin is very good topped with butter AND peanut butter! Yum yum!!

I'm eagerly awaiting the pre-Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.

By the way, I'm getting some strange looks with my Christmas tree and lights now working nightly. People think I put it up a wee bit too early. Disapprove [V]

Well, it has certainly been quite a long time since I've been in here. Things seem to be going well, espeacilly now that Mookie has made her presence to be seen! Nice photo Mookie, I am envious of it, it;s got a train in the background. Darn I wish I could have taken some of my high school pictures with a trian in the background!!!

Good Tuesday morning to all!  Nice and chilly here this
morning, at 30 degrees.  By around around daybreak, we
should be at about 28 degrees, maybe a degree or two lower.

Coffee is on, juice is made, hot water for tea and cocoa,
and we've got hot chocolate for this morning, also.

Breakfast menu of turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs,
homemade biscuits & sausage gravy, oatmeal, grits, toast &
cream of wheat are all on the warmer bar.

Got the turkeys in the oven, so they'll be ready by lunch
time, and will be working on the sides in about three hours
(after I get through with Produce).

Everyone have a great day, and take care.

I sampled everything!  It is so good.  The paw prints are clean - I washed them really well before I stuck them in the bowls.  And then I washed them after, too.  Sometimes, I didn't even need a paw - just a small taste.

CW - we will need more watergate salad - I think I ate too much of it!

Going to leave the premises in a short while, so everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving and we will do this all over again on Monday!
