Okey dokey, looks like the votes are for meatloaf.  So. . . .

Meatloaf w/mashed taters and gravy, peas, corn will be the special for tonight.

Have two to-go containers in the fridge for Mookie to take home, and will fix
anyone else who wants a to-go container for supper, or you can fix up your
order yourself, which ever you prefer.

Meatloaf sounds dandy.

Getting ready to duck here - the storm shouldn't last long, but it's looking pretty nasty on radar.  Same line that just tore up the mid-Atlantic region.

And a meeting tonight - if we aren't all out chasing thunderstorm calls.

If there is any meatloaf left over from tonight's dinner, it will make excellent sandwiches for lunch tomorrow! When I was a kid I used to turn my nose up at meatloaf, but I have since acquired a taste for it and it is especially good as cold sandwich meat.

Good Friday morning to all.  We're about 20 degrees cooler this morning, with a
current temp of 35.  At least the rain has left, for now, anyway.  Supposed to be
party sunny today.

Coffee is ready, juice is made, and hot chocolate and hot tea are available.

Breakfast this morning:  DOUGHNUTS.  We have cake doughnuts, doughnut
holes, chocolate covered doughnuts, chocolate covered cream filled, longjohns
that are vanilla filled and cream filled, along with raspberry, apple and peach
danish.

I hope each and everyone of you have a great day, and I'll be back in a little while.

I've been up for about 45 minutes here and right now we have a temperature of 26 degrees in Sioux Falls. I am getting ready to go to work later this morning as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army. It is supposed to warm up to about 42 degrees this afternoon, a bit cooler than what was originally predicted. I plan to dress in several layers and will wear my insulated boots. I will stop in at the Diner and grab a cream-filled long john and fill my thermous bottle with hot coffee.

I hope the rest of you folks out there have a good day!

And for you dining pleasure -

A man has invented shot gun pellets that dissolve.  And they come in flavors.  You can shoot the animal, the pellet dissolves and you have your meat flavored for cooking!

That might not be a good thing..... I could see the Dick Cheney types accidently injecting their friends with cajun-flavored buckshot.......

Okay, the next batch of fish, fries and sides are ready to
be eaten.

And yes, I'll say a prayer for the Schembecler family, and

Bo definitely ranks right up there with the best coaches in the Big Ten.  A class guy- he came to Iowa to help honor Hayden Fry when Hayden retired.

Any fish left?  Hold the fries, though- trying to keep the diet going at least until next Thursday (gobble-gobble).

I will also say a prayer for the Schembecler family.

I have an interesting story. For those of you who did not attend Camp Mookie in Lincoln, Nebraska, Mookie gave everyone BNSF Railway coffee mugs. This evening I decided to heat some hot chocolate in the microwave and I used the mug she gave me. After a little while in the microwave, a big spark, like a miniature lightning bolt, shot off the mug and then another one shot off. Obviously, I shut off the microwave in a hurry! Apparently there is a good deal of some sort of metal in the mug that created the sparks when it was heated up. Certainly an interesting way to round off the week!

Thank goodness there are only two more school days before Thanksgiving vacation. I could use five days to rest up before all of the studying for semester exams begins.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

TGIF!

Willy

Since I don't drink coffee or cocoa, mine is being displayed proudly on my lateral file cabinet in the corner of my home office, with one of Ed's PTRA water cans sitting inside of it!

Good morning to everybody!

Joe, thanks for putting the coffee on, making the juice, and
cocoa.  Your breakfast menu sounds very, very good this
morning!!  Think I'll take a stack of four pancakes, with two
sausage patties, and plenty of maple syrup!!  The cold and
sinus infection is much better, and I'm getting my appetite
back.

Get a frozen birthday cake out of the freezer, and take for
your mother-in-law.  Wish her a Happy Birthday!!

Everyone have a great day, and be careful out there!!

We've got to miss the Pizza Fest tonight. I would love to stay, but my mother in law is taking us to the Outback for my wifes Birthday which is tomorrow.

Everyone have a great Saturday night and a great Sunday. It's supposed to be cold and cloudy. It's already clouded up here now.

Well, I'm managing to post the Saturday Night Pizza Fest
menu right on schedule, for a change.

Up tonight:

1.  Cheese
2.  Goetta
3.  Hawaiian
4.  Mushroom & Pepperoni
5.  Supreme

As always, there are three extra large of each of the
pizzas.  Guess if we don't have too many coming into
the Diner tonight, there'll be cold pizza for breakfast
in the morning.

Brian (KY), please tell wife Happy B-Day [bday] from all of us!!  Sorry
you won't be in tonight, but guess you all are getting the
better deal, tonight.Big Smile [:D]
