Well, I finally made it over here for my cake.
Sorry I'm late for the festivities, but the family here had to stop at Walton, KY for the Friday Fish Fry after work.

Did anyone put candles on this cake for me to blow out? I got lucky last night with my angel food cake and only had to blow out 4 candles. And can anyone make a cake as big as the Big Emma's L&N used? I've been to Louisville to see LC and CW and I don't think there house is large enough to make a cake that big.

Thank you to LC and CW for my bday thread. It was nice.

Dig In.

I Really like the new sign Joe put by the door of the diner,
"All Cats MUST Check Their Guns At the Door"
(dogs don't carry,we just bite.)

Mook;wish a certain one of our cats would do the 'flop'routine.
I'm tired of my leg being a 'pin cushion'.

Well, found a few dead spiders, a lot of dust and some cold pizza....

You know - people all live in different states - each should stock the diner with their
local foods -

CW/Mutt - quiet puppies, Tom - Wisconsin cheese, MC - mountain water, Randy - Maine Lobster - Ed - oil -

Joe/Matt and Brother Carl.....Chicago Dogs and chocolate cake, Tree - BBQ, Mookie - a big napkin.....

Anyone else?

Lunch today is fish sandwiches w/tarter sauce and fries. Still recovering,
so not doing a whole lot of cooking. But we did need a birthday
cake for Brian, so that took most of my energy.

Supper tonight will be shrimp with hushpuppies and we'll have hamburgers/
cheeseburgers and fries for those who aren't partaking of the lenten menu.

Lap is usually "up in the air". Gotta hang on somehow. And some have more lap than others!

Mookie doesn't turn around - she just flops!

Gotta go rummage through the cupboards - look for hidey holes and more cake!

Mookie,
What you said about 'kitties' is so true;but explain why, even when
they are in your lap;they turn around three times, work their claws into
your leg before they lay down.

CW has another 'train shaped' cake HIDDEN.
She KNEW this would happen!!

Brian's birthday cake is ready; guess we'll have to take it over to his birthday
thread, since he's never been able to make it to the diner.

Breakfast today will be: choices of turkey bacon, sausage patties, and
biscuits and gravy;

////// ^ o ~ ||||||| > I'm in pieces again!

Been a little windy here and will be today. Where is all the wind coming from? I know, I know - the north!

Had just below 50 mph winds, but it wasn't terribly cold (40's) just dusty.

We are going to have to have a lesson in how to sleep! Seems like this forum is a group of non-sleepers!

Never go to bed dirty - always clean your fur after eating and before bed. And the noisier the better.

Always be sure you use the kitty litter. More is better!

Make sure the bed is soft - in winter, near a heater is best.

Go to bed early - you need to get up early and make sure your humans are ok.

And if you sleep close to your humans - make sure you snore - really loud.

Oh yes - and position is everything! @

Well, it's 1:04, and I can't go to sleep; so guess I'll get myself a cup of
coffee and some chocolate pie. Eat that while Brian's chocolate cake
is in the oven for his birthday today.

ooo...that sounds good! Hadn't figured out supper yet, but there is that chicken again!

So glad Matt is back. Service has been lousy without him!

Jay - I rather think that sounds like a bed and breakfast in a barn. Not too bad an idea!

Some of the best milk I ever tasted was "raw" milk - chilled really cold. Had it several times through out my life and it was always good! Ah, back when life was so much simpler!

Mook-And food too. Usually table scraps and some raw milk for the kitties. Not a bad life.

Snow here today. I think I am going to call the hangar and have the crew get the jet ready and maybe spend the afternoon in the lower SE. Yeeeaaah, that's the ticket!

Today's weather in the lower SE is clearing with sun. No umbrella necessary. Maybe just a bit to coll though for a bathing suit today. This week they say will be swimming weather.

The cats did a nice job of taking care of the field mice.

Jay
Jay - that was a different species - "farm" animals. Citified is what we have now. And see - you gave them shelter and bedding! That's more than a lot of people do even for their kids let alone their pets!

Putting a paw on your forehead. You need to go see Dr. Witch. He will give you some potion that will make your hair curl and arm feel better. You go girl! I mean it!

I'm here this morning, but not doing a whole lot better. Tom, thanks for the
sandwich & soup. Mutt is right: I do prefer Miracle Whip Salad Dressing,
but will have Mayo on a sandwich is that's all that's available.

Having a little trouble with my left arm, so someone else will have to do the
cooking again today. Will probably go get it checked out after awhile.
Everyone take care, "stay safe", and have a good day.
