A conspiracy afoot - or a paw....

Got new license plates for Millie on Friday. We just went to the 3 alpha 3 numerical system. Numeric is whatever, but alpha is......."OUP". Probably stands for Omaha Union Pacific - and we all know I live in Lincoln and I am a BNSF fan. Hmmph.....

Jay - worked in a restaurant 17 years, took many, many health and sanitation classes - it's a wonder I even eat out at all. It is a good thing people are pretty resilient or we would have never lasted this long.

We've had light/moderate snow showers since about 5:30, 6:00 tonight.
Looks like we have about an inch of snow now at 9:18.

Snowing again lightly here. Joe, just in case, I'll keep an eye out for the truck trolling up and down I-25 with the really big net! (FThunder isn't aware that we are in his backyard at least two days a week for a while watching concrete being poured....)[:D]

Speaking of BBQ chicken, wonder how Larry's and others' fundraiser is
going today. Remember earlier in the week when Larry said they'd be
barbequing chicken halves today? With it being cold, I'll bet they've sold
out completely.

Mudchicken, Mutt is right: wish we could come to Denver.

Since I'm not totally 100% back "on track", think we'll have something
easy to fix today: like butterfly shrimp with your choice of seafood sauce,
or tarter sauce, and fries.

Mudchicken, I would love to get there, but I doubt my four little paws could
make it to Denver that fast! If they're that good at lobbying, maybe we could get
them to start a 'fillabuster'.

Thanks for the invite. Wish CW and I COULD make it to Denver.

We thank you all for 8 inches of snow this morning in Denver. We were beginning to wonder what the stuff looked like up close (and it was 76 degrees here yesterday)....The dustbowl conditions will stop for a while. Sharing tubesteaks today with my canine buddies. We''ll hold one for ya' Mutt, but better get here quick, the scottie and the westie furballs are well trained lobbyists. [C=:-)][C=:-)][C=:-)]

Okay, let's get the nachos and make some tacos. Mutt says not to forget
the doritos and the salsa dip. I'll take con queso dip.

Carl,
CW is doing better, and it was a 'tad bit' more serious than cold or flu.
Hope you get to feeling better.

CW--you're up and around today? Hope you're feeling better.

I shouldn't have come to the diner, 'cause if anyone gets too close they'll catch whatever it is that I have (I won't go to work today).

There was (maybe still is) a place on Navy Pier that will fix your hot dog in styles suitable to a dozen or so cities.

Good Saturday morning. For breakfast, we'll have bacon, sausage, biscuits
and gravy, and your choice of fried potatoes or tater tots.

Lunch will be sandwiches and potato wedges.

Supper: Give me some suggestions, or it'll be cornbread mush.

Well, I finally made it over here for my cake.
Sorry I'm late for the festivities, but the family here had to stop at Walton, KY for the Friday Fish Fry after work.

Did anyone put candles on this cake for me to blow out? I got lucky last night with my angel food cake and only had to blow out 4 candles. And can anyone make a cake as big as the Big Emma's L&N used? I've been to Louisville to see LC and CW and I don't think there house is large enough to make a cake that big.

Thank you to LC and CW for my bday thread. It was nice.

Dig In.
Brian (KY)

Brian,
We were going to put candles on your cake, but the "Fire Marshall"
told us not to;something about a 'fire hazard'.
(although, you don't have as many as me.)

We 'might' be able to handle a cake that big,but getting it through
the front door 'could' be a problem.
