Hey Equinox - I about tripped over the door sill running to get in here! I am so glad you are at least passing through. Maybe we can start a conversation and a riot at the same time!

going today. Remember earlier in the week when Larry said they'd be
barbequing chicken halves today? With it being cold, I'll bet they've sold
out completely.

We fell victim to an incorrect date. A local resident writes a column about local events in an area weekly newspaper. She said the barbeque was next Sunday, the 20th, which really hurt us as a lot of folks get their "local" news from that paper. The daily paper got it right. We still moved over 600 halves in regular sales, and most of the rest is gone as well. Have some left over to have for lunch during our OSHA training session next Sunday.

It was chilly - I don't thing the temperature got above freezing, but the weather was sunny and clear.

Hello all, I just thought I'd stop by for a coffee.

Very scary news. China's parliment has passed a bill allowing for war against Taiwan if they try to declare independance. They warn the international community to stay out of an internal affair that does not concern them. Whether anybody in the international community will listen or not is unknown.

The thing about getting meals at a virtual diner is it's safe and healthy. No saturated fat, chloesterol, additives, carbs, salt or anything else that is "not good". Good thing, otherwise we would have to convert the old express office into a work-out room. Stationary bike for Carl and all that.

Tom, we do our very best here in the DD&CS to keep everything as clean
as possible. And we have Mookie to thank for that, with her years of
experience in restaurant work.

Today's breakfast menu will be your choice of: oatmeal & toast, sausage
or bacon, biscuits & sausage gravy, and Cheerios w/banana (or other
fresh fruit), coffee, hot tea, or hot chocolate.

Lunch/dinner special today will be either beef stew or fried chicken breasts.
