Joe

Thanks for the warning. I was going to post a note reminding everybody that today is April 1. No doubt the newswire will offer up some very startling news.

Larry

At various times the Soldiers Chorus will perform religious pieces. Christmas concerts and the such. They sang at Pres Reagan's funeral. I enjoy excellent voices just as well as instrumentals, and to me that adds to the pleasure of getting to the tour concerts.

Jay,
Congrats on that article,CW pulled it up and printed, and I got
to read it. You've got to be proud of her,and her accomplishments
over the years.

Larry, that one is cool also, didn't realize we had that much talent
on here.
I 'started' college as as 'music major',but quickly changed that.
I played "French Horn" Just more than I wanted to commit to,
at that time.
Also sang a bit,in church choirs,high school,and college choruses.

Jay - that's cool! With the musical talent either on or related to the forum, we've got a pretty good combo going here.

I attended the Easter service at my daughter's church. They led off with a variety of music, mostly Christian, some not. Among the "not" was some Celtic music, featuring a fiddle, and Irish bagpipe, and my daughter's flute. The interesting part was the fiddler - a classically trained violinist who had never played this kind of music before. She apparently discovered she liked it...

Jay, I pulled the article up, and printed it out without having to sign in. I know
you are all so very proud of her.

Breakfast this morning will be the usual morning fare; for those of us who
have to cut back, we'll have oatmeal and wheat toast and some fresh fruit.

Lunch will be regular fare, no specials today.

I'll let you know around noon time, what the supper special will be.

Planning is underway for a gathering of many on Sunday evening. Friends and members of my favorite concert band will be offered a buffet supper featuring lasagna prepared by a real Italian (friend John Zambito) and a Turkey *** scollopini grateneed with mushrooms, onions, rice and cheese prepared by moi. (With an assist from Julia Child). The place will be rockin, but we are far enough away from Lincoln so Mookie can catch up on sleep.

Have tuna melts and the chicken club sandwiches and pretzels left for
supper tonight. Also have some leftover chicken stir-fry, and ham from
Easter for sandwiches.

Joe's right, Sis--the door's always open here. But you knew that.

We had a little hail, a bit of rain, yesterday evening. The lightning and cloud formations were spectacular. Just glad I wasn't working, or biking.

Tee Hee - a "snow-bird!"

At least the sled didn't hit anything important!

Should miss us. We didn't get much of the rain that was forcast, either. Staying above freezing for most of the next week - but then, they have told fibs before.

Besides - you are up much taller than we are!

Hope Mookie got her woollies on ....4 inches of very wet & icy snow in Denver last night. Got out of the company pool truck (my beast is in the shop) in the driveway last night, set the parking brake and shut the door. Then watched the S-10 slide 15 feet down the driveway to the curb![%-)][%-)][%-)]

Larry if your siren has P.A. capabilities, maybe you should loan
it to Mookie for a while, for her defense against her neighbors.

I have just about finished the 'new' picnic table,it should be ready by noon,
or lunch time.Nothing fancy, but did find a piece of carpet to put on one end,
so Mookie will have a 'soft' place to curl up on.

Don't know where to put it,either on the side,or in front. Just where we can
watch the trains go by.
And I will need some help unloading it,as it is sort of on the large size.[:D][C=:-)][dinner]

Ah Mooks is a mush! I was the only one they woke - well, the real Mookie looked terrified!

But they didn't wake the Driver and that is always cause for celebration.

The landcouple said to call, even in the middle of the night, but I wouldn't do that to even the neighbors if I knew they were asleep. So.....

My solution is to keep a diary - and if it happens again - I will have a running record of the offenses. Then submit to landcouple and neighbors are history.

I am trying to be fair as possible. A little noise is to be expected. And, hey, they were told to keep down the stereo in the car, so when they went out to listen to it, you could hear it a lot less! [}:)]

A word to all people that live close to other people - doors should be shut quietly - not slammed. If you don't want your neighbors to hear your dirty laundry, don't wash it in public at the top of your lungs! And put your young children to bed at a decent hour - 1 am is not decent!

I am taking tomorrow off on vacation - getting my attitude adjusted, too!

Mookie,

Salad, tuna melts, and chicken club sandwiches, it is. And no, it'll be actual
chicken, not the deli slices from the deli. When I cut chicken for sandwiches,
you have nice big chunks of chicken, not little slices. Same way with turkey,
meatloaf, any sandwich.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. It'll all be ready and waiting, at noon,
our time, which will be 11 your time, right?

Mookie, want us to come for a visit with our dog? She'll get rid of pests for you,
big time! If so, maybe we'll drop by Arkansas and pick up Jim and Duchess on
the way!!

Breakfast special this morning will be oatmeal and wheat toast for those of us
who have to watch our weight (and lose a little bit of it), along with some nice,
fresh fruit.

Think we'll have cold cut sandwiches for lunch, with pretzels, so we can go out-
side and eat today. Going to be another beautiful day today!!

Mookie, give me an idea for supper, o.k? Maybe something light, but filling at
the same time.

Despite sunny and mild weather this morning, we here in the north country are looking at several days of wet. I think we're gonna duck the heavy stuff they got in the midwest yesterday, though. Oh, well. Need the rain to wash all of the sand off the roads...
