Tee Hee! Sneaky Mookie!

I bought a tape recorder last nite.

Now when I am not laying in "awake" for the neighbors, I can use it to show the driver how he NEVER whistles for crossings during the night. At times he sounds like an old Dash 8.

Tree! Cool. And if you are going to get to Nebraska, you will be west of Lincoln or up in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. The alley is all around us and we live in the "gutter". (topographically, LIncoln proper sits in a "bowl" and all streets out of town go uphill.) I'm so excited. Will keep my finners crossed!

CW - I love meatloaf!

Gosh - I was Mrs. Buttsadraggin' when I came in - now I am all excited!

For our supper tonight, Mutt had meat loaf with green beans, onions and
potatoes. I had a meat loaf sandwich.

We had a 'new' roof put on this house about 7-8 years ago.
Unfortunately,insurance didn't cover it.
Mudchicken,I hope you are up to covering that damage.
Was rather expensive for us,glad my mom could help us out.

Last I heard Jim and Duchess were still happily living in North Little Rock Arkansas.[:D][8]

From the far west end of tornado alley, hope you make it. Just keep those things in NE Kansas when they do instant urban renewal. Me, I'm hoping for a new roof hailstorm.[%-)]

btw - Jim and Duchess are where now?

Well, got an email from my daughter with a "check this out" theme. Ended up submitting an application for a storm chasing trip with Weather Bug. Won't know if I made it until next week (like I'm the only one who put in for it) but I can hope. Since we'll be in Tornado Alley the first week in May, maybe I'll get close enough to Lincoln to touch base with Ms Mook. Never know with the weather, though... All expenses paid, though. Aside from some requirements like answering email questions from school kids and blogging, should be fun (and the questions, etc, will be fun).

Beef I think in a real tomato sauce and rice, the same rice as the previous nights.
Hope to come up onto DD&CS more often.

PB&J, bologna, ham & cheese, liver loaf, pastrami, (is that spelled right?),
and roast beef. Will have potato chips and potato salad to go with the
sandwiches, so anyone wanting to, can have lunch out at the picnic table.

Supper: Meat loaf and shelli beans w/onions & potatoes, or meat loaf
sandwiches. Going to be too tired after we get toilet tank fixed to do much

And Sterling1, congrats on your 500th post.

Well apparently no one 'plugged' it.
It's just after about 15 years, that I have to fix it again.
Innard's only this time. this is at the very least the 'third time' I've done this.

Larry, not sure about mops, but possibably several 'buckets' might
be in order.

Well, generally chili is not considered as a 'finger' food.
But, things DO HAPPEN
Let's hope the 'Diner' can keep that from happening.

Welcome back Jim! Watch the GE's - had a microwave - 2 mos old before it burned! (GE, too)

Congrats Sterling!

Congrats Jay - gonna be Grandpa, too!

Tom - I like the color - that way it won't look so in need of cleaning all the time!

Neighbors - had very noisy friends in - during the time change to DST. Started about midnite - went to 4 am. They were having a conversation that I could listen to while sitting in the living room. Wrote it all down for landcouple. Since it was a weekend, I didn't call anyone. Just made lots of notes. Retaliation is a big part of it, since our oldest car sits outside and Millie, while in the garage, is one that they can open. (double stall and remote opening.) But, after all left and before they retired for the night, the driver let them know we weren't happy about all this, again. It was very quiet the rest of the weekend. Course, Sunday was nap everytime you sit. Trying to catch up.

Very warm this weekend - spent quality time outside and at the train tracks. At least it was quiet there!

Congrats on 500!

Those bike shows turn out some fantastic machinery - I've seen some if them in person. Of course, one reason a lot of people like OCC is the same reason I won't watch it - the old man.

And this is the Diner - non-railroad topics are just fine here...

Jim, GE Appliance Park was about four, five miles from my old home place.
My sister worked there for years, and now her youngest daughter works there.
Yep, both Mutt and I know exactly where it is located. Nice railroad tracks
there, also.

[;)] My icebox is a GE and came from Appliance Park. I bet Locomut and Cherokee Woman can tell us where that is. Yes, folks, there is a lot of dirty laundry hidden in the closet of certain appliance makers. [:0] [B)] [8]

Appliance Park used to be the largest employer of people here in Louisville.
We don't have a "Toaster",'though we have seen several go by on the rails recently.
WE do,however need to get a new can opener. And it won't be GE.
We
have a side /by side fridge/freezer combo;it isn't a GE by brand name,but
sounds like a GE when the compressor starts.[:D]
