Farming, at least "family" dairy farming, well... people who gripe about their railroad job don't know about REAL fun. I had my bags packed before I went to HS graduation. Fortunately, my parents were never that enthusiastic about farming and decided to quit shortly after I left for college.

It is still honorable to help your parents out, but keep the cell phone on and you can always say, oops got to go to work.

Jay

I hear you, Jay, my parents had a good reason not telling me what I had to help them with. Due to the fact that this is a diner and I don't want anyone to lose their appetite, no details on subject will be given....

Should be fun later today.... Have 13 more calves to de-horn.....

We see ours every morning in the bathroom sink, head cranked over 180 degrees, trying to drink from the faucet.....How do cats do that without hurting themselves?

One of the local Italiano restaurantes here serves a mean kitchen sink salad. El Gato Mookster most likely is alergic to water, like most cats, so we asked for something we could eat in peace.

Might try to cut that scrawny stuff that is supposed to become a lawn here next weekend along with replacing a few shingles I just found while loading the birdfeeder. Go to school tomorrow morning in a truck, come home tomorrow night with a dogsled?

Joe,come on down! Appreciate the offer.
Would be nice to see a "triple play",the best I've done
recently,is a "double play".
That 'new' siding sounds like a good chance to watch
extra trains.

Mud Chicken,
Heard on the weather, where you all were to have a 'warm' day,and next day
that four letter 'S' word.
Told CW we would probably hear something from you, about that.
Now about the 'cat' in the kitchen sink.................................?

Okay, everybody: pizza is now ready, so everybody come and
sit down at a table, and get your pizza and salad.

Anybody have a garden railroad layout they'd like to put outside?
When there's no train coming by, we'd have a train layout to
watch.

I'd volunteer, Jay, but I just got "volunteered" by my parents to assist them on my dad's farm in Burlington, WI. I must have "Sucker" written on my face, oh well.

Jay, know what you mean about the lawn and flower bed. We need help
ourselves. If I get down to weed out the flower bed, Walt (Mutt) will have
to call one of the local wrecker services to help me up out of it! I don't
weigh that much, but my very bad knees, I have a heck of a time getting
back up. As Garfield says, "I'm not overweight, I'm UNDERtall.

Looks like it is going to be a nice day in Delavan, Wisconsin today. Clear sky, high in the 60s and I only have a week to go before I return retired status. Problem is that the honey do list has done nothing but get longer during the last three months and the lawn and flower beds are in need of work. Any volunteers? My camera is starting to wonder when it will get out to photograph trains.

Have a good day.

Good morning, everyone. Breakfast this morning will be:
turkey bacon, scrambled eggs, toast and orange juice.

Lunch will be: burgers grilled on a George Foreman grill,
french fries, and choice of garden salad or cole slaw. Will
also have fish sandwiches and hushpuppies (NOT the shoes,
either).

Supper tonight will be pizza and salad.

Having "Hushpuppies" might be some 'tough' eating.
