Yeah - it's that season here, too. Wind's blowing at gale force, but they just have to burn off the fence line or the trash in the burn barrel. Several took the efforts of multiple fire departments over the weekend...

If a 'weather forecaster' would look out of one, once in awhile,
maybe he/she would have a better percentage of being right.

Alas - you're there and the forecaster is in, well, someplace else. Doesn't do any good to look out the window in Atlanta to see how the weather is in Des Moines...

Very well said and agreed on.
It is hard to look out of a window, and predict weather several hundred miles away.
Although the "Local" ones don't do all that great a job.

Thanks Carl and cherokee woman for the nice welcome to the Diner :) Greatly appreciated :)

Lets see nothing really happened to me today. But there was a major accident that happend in the eairly morrning on the Schuylkill Expressway ( I 76 west) on the westbound lanes going into Philadelphia that had traffic backed up for miles. Thats all I can think of what happened today :(

SF, I can just see your pup trying to get through that stuff. When Fritz, my mini dachs comes home from an errand with me, he will get out of the car and make a dash for the patio door in the back. After an 8 inch soft snow, the walk was not yet shoveled, but that was not going to stop him. When he went to jump over, he discovered that it was not just a little obstacle. With his nose just above the snow, I picked him up and he gave a look that said "What the hell was that all about".

Hang in there. Colorado is known to have a occasional nice day.

We had nice temps, but humid, humid, humid. Rained overnight - not the inch they were predicting; just a little to wet our whistles. Ed, we need more wet and lots of it. You sent it, but it only made it to Kansas! Scratch Kansas & Ok and go for Nebraska!

MC - I am going to e-mail you for some information, so stay alert - world needs more lerts!

Now for a nap - long weekend, you know.

Good morning everyone. Sarah, welcome to the Diner.
Breakfast this morning will be: turkey bacon, sausage, biscuits and
gravy, cereal, oatmeal , whole wheat toast, and cereal. Also have
fresh strawberries, peaches and bananas.

Think lunch and dinner specials today will be open-faced roast beef
sandwiches w/mashed potatoes & gravy, and Italian spaghetti w/garlic
Texas Toast.

Nice to see you at the diner, Sarah! Some AMG will take care of your tab, I'm sure [;)]!

I think we'll be getting remnants of MC's storm for the next couple of days, though it'll only be rain when it gets here. I'll probably have to drive to work; don't want to encourage this cold.
