OK, the charcoal's a glowing and we're putting the chicken on the racks. Might get a little smoky here in the diner if the wind blows wrong, but it'll smell good! Salads are in the cooler and the beans are in the oven. That potato salad with bacon should be a hit.

In listening to today's news as I type this Gallup says 42% of taxpayers resent paying property taxes. Further according to Gallup only 50% of us resent paying $$$$$ to Uncle Sam

I'll be in for lunch, for sure.

Got to entertain some dignitaries at work last evening, after a virtual train-chasing trip for me (and a successful one for them!).

Dan,can you get a 'carrier' in here [?]

I just finally worked my way down here - this is so funny! I knew if we dangled something in front of Dan's eyes, he would entertain us!

If Tom gets close I will recruit him to help! Now I need to go wipe the tears out of my eyes!

Maybe we should check with jhh, and change this to the Depot Diner,
Coffee Shop and Humor Society. I laughed so hard, could not see
what I was reading because of the tears in my eyes!

Since we couldn't get in here this morning, lunch will be regular
sandwich menu. Will let you know in about 1 1/2 hours what we'll
have for supper.

I am very happy that the DD&DS is open. I missed my late night raid on the refrigerator and I am starved.
