Mookie-I read that Tom Osbourne is running for Gov. Is he going to win?

The State of Nebraska has declared that Tom Osborne could run for president and the whole state would vote for him! Wish he would run for coach again! Problem is, I really, so far, like the Govenor we have now - and he is a Republican, too! And this from a pretty solid Democrat!

Tom, along with tea with honey, try some lemon flavored Theraflu: the
powder you add to hot water, not the pills they have out now. Those
pills just don't do anything. Hope you get better soon!

Would you like me to make some soup for you tomorrow?

Yeah and they eat nutrea down south and don't eat the meat on the squirrel's head and some cultures eat rats and dogs - Have heard about a good many of them. Just don't want them in the forum diner.

You just really work at being obnoxious, don't you!

Road kill is at the next diner down the road - way down the road!

Actually Mook, I have seen a cookbook with a recipe for "Sunday 'Coon Bake" and I think there were some recipes for squirrel and possum in there too. Granted this was from some of my "kin folk" back in Tennessee. A bit too rustic for my taste though and as Cousin Eddie says in Christmas Vacation they are just too high in cholesterol.[;)]

Made out like a bandit on the produce today: 2 heads of cabbage, onions,
spinach, winter squash (will send the winter squa***o Florida). Sorry,
did not get any roadkill given to us. Thank the Good Lord on high!!

Along with the cornbeef and cabbage for lunch, there is plenty to have for
supper tonight, also. Also will have pinto beans and cornbread.

Dessert will be oatmeal & raisin cookies with ice cream or sherbet.

THIS IS A FAMILY ESTABLISHMENT, AND WE HAVE NO LIQUOR
LICENSE. None of us want the children to see anyone drinking
alcohol in here.

You're right, SJ--she won't be biking to work. However, I could bike there in about 15 minutes. Unfortunately for us, the new location will be across the street from one of my favorite places for barbecued-beef sandwiches (and we qualify for complimentary senior soft drinks!).

The real fun begins in just five days!

Next week Tuesday (one week from today) is the day we'll be looking for trains and otherwise exploring railroad sites around Philadelphia. I'm leaving this part of the trip entirely up to Sarah, since I have no clue as to where we'd be going or how to get there.

Maybe we could do a joint report on a visit to the diner!

My wife just informed me that her store might be moving--the good news is that it would cut her commuting distance in half!
Still don't see her riding the bike, tho.....
