The 'fruit' sounds good. But FORGET the yogurt and 'seeds'?
The trip to the yard does sound like a winner.

Yes, Joe, be careful going to Toledo. For some reason, that's a city I always become disoriented in.

Mutt & Cher--

Do you think we should make Jim wait five days for brunch? [}:)]

Eight days on my countdown. Nine on the more important one!

Sarah, if it rains when I'm there we'll just have to ride on SEPTA a little more, and/or visit Wissihickon Creek--or maybe just stay in the car. I could bring an umbrella. AMG

Biscuits, gravy and country fried steak aren't all we have for
brunch! We also have rice, cream of wheat, grits and
country fried ham w/redeye gravy. There's also fresh fruit:
apples, bananas, cantalope, mush melon and watermelon.

Well, we didn't get to have the balloon race this morning. Winds
are too high today. They're predicting that the balloon race will
go off tomorrow, and will possibly have the balloon glow tonight.
Maybe the chow wagons can open up today.

Drinks will be:soda/coffee/tea/water.
No alcohol allowed in here !!

I guess I can elaborate a little, after I say TEN DAYS TO GO!

I'm going to Philadelphia. By train.

In eleven days I will meet Sarah Warner (and her mother) in person, and we'll have an entire day in which to chase and ride trains around Philadelphia. (We will be chaperoned, in deference to the age and gender differential between us.) I wi***he trip were a little longer, but I'm shoe-horning it between Mother's Day, our wedding anniversary, and baby girl's graduation from college.

I'm hoping we can arrange a trip for Sarah and her mom to come visit the Chicago area in August. She needs a little more variety in her train-watching, and we're just the folks who can provide it!

YES 9 DAYS TO GO HERE! I can't wait!!!! Hopefully, when you come over we'll have nice weather to do our train watching. Another thing that I have to pray for is action on the lines that I'm going to take you to, hopfully we'll see something good.

Lets see what happed today to me??/.....hummm. Today at work I went out for a road test with a tra***ruck. Just yesterday I finished assmebling a DT466 an on highway diesel, I put it in the truck assimbled all the other accessories like air-to air piping and coolant lines. Anyway, I 'm traveling allong I 476 which is the Blue Route doing 60 then I hear a boom, then air pissing out. I lost my throttle responce. Ended up doing 21 mph down the highway for a mile until I found a space to pull over. I open the hood and found that one of the clamps on the trubo pipe failed (becasue I didn't tighten it). Therefore I had no trubo boost. Plus this engine isn't designed to run naturally aspired. So, I spend 1/2 hour turning nut on the clamp w/o any tools to tighten it. And the engine was hottt hottt.

The usual cold cereal and coffee for breakfast today then to the barber to get my ears lowered, then a bunch of honeydo's (dry cleaner, post office, bank, etc.) and then home to eat a couple of slices of yesterday's pizza (courtesy of my 23 year old son) and out to Eola for some R&R. Then I will come home to snuggle with the love of my life for the evening.

Real mixed bag for the weekend - can't figure out what it wants to do. The only thing I haven't seen in the forecast is snow...

Will be spending the next three evenings running camera at the local PBS station, for their annual merchandise auction. BID HIGH! BID OFTEN! Gives me a chance to be "working" and still check out the babes....[:D]

And hey - Sunday is May Day!

It's supposed to be wet today here, too. I'm hoping it holds off until evening at least, because Friday is my non-car day for getting to work (if it's too wet for the bike I use the train, accompanied by about three miles of walking, in which event I still get soaked!).

Ed, I'm not a photographer, but I'll see what I can do.

Nine days before I leave; ten before I get to meet Sarah in person! I'm as calm as can be, can't you tell?

Mudchicken, don't want the snow, either. Thank you, but maybe you could send
it to Florida. Don't think they've ever seen snow there, before! Hopefully, we
won't see snow here until next winter. We have had snow on Derby Day before.

CW - Don't like rain, huh? We'll send you the 16 inches of wet snow we got last night at Winter Park (west end of Moffat Tunnel) since 5pm last night. Our survey project is now on hold, we're goin home until this stuff melts. Ma Nature certainly pooped in our Post Toasties. UP & BNSF have been running trains like streetcars up here the past few days. (wet snow on the wires knocked out the power last night, too)...

Fire-up the SnoCats!
